How can I set a custom file I downloaded as my default ringtone? I got it off babilo.com and I want to make it my default... But I cant seem to find the song anywhere on my phone to make it my ringer?

I just downloaded this and i'm trying to figure it out. Is there a way to make this the default lock screen from setup? Or do I have to open it every time i restart my phone?
If another thread exists about this program just send it my way and I'll walk away hanging my head.
So I have a song that I like (smooth criminal) and I would like the opening to be my ringtone. I have heard of ringdroid but it doesn't seem to work well on my phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy fiance upgraded from LG Voyager to Droid 2. She wanted her old ringtones from the Verizon Media store so she downloaded them. When she stored them they were given default names. I was able to make the appropriate ringtone associations, except for voicemail. I have 2 questions:
1. How do you set a ringtone for voicemail? When I run the standard voicemail app (Verizon) I cannot being up a menu.
2. How do I change the name of a ringtone file?
I have my ringtone set to a modest mouse song and when someone calls it does what its suppose to do and ring. But on the other end of the line whoever is calling will get my voice mail and my phone will continue to play the song until its over. I know most of you are going to say "Factory Reset!" but im trying to trouble shoot before i go that route.

I rooted my EVO and flashed a ROM that has Launcher Pro installed. While I was playing with the phone I chose for the default launcher to be used. I'd like to change that now and can't find a way to make LP my default launcher.
Second, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that most or all of the Sense widgets cannot be used while LP is being used. If that's the case, are there alternatives to the bookmarks widget and the Friend Stream widget?
And lastly, can anyone confirm that the EVO has LED colors other than red/orange and green? Those are the only two I've seen.
Basically I have a video clip in .WMV and I wan't to take the audio and make a ringtone out of parts of it.
For some reason on my mac I can't get this to work with Audacity.
Can you take a clip from a MP3 and use it as a ringtone and can this be done on the Droid? I know you can use songs as ringtones but it uses the whole song and I just want the chorus. I think you can trim songs on the HTC to use as a ringtone but I don't see a way of doing that on the Droid. I'm sure there's an app for it.

I think they are the same), it only has 3 weeks i'm having a very strange and annoying problem, if someone can help i will really appreciate it, because it's making me crazy.When I add songs to the SD, the default Music Player the phone brings don't find them.. i tried a lot, configurations, folders, song names, song properties, etc etc.. but none of them worked.It didn't happen always, the first songs i added are there, and can be played normally, but if I add new ones they don't appear in the Music Player.Also the same happens if I add audio to the "notifications" or "ringtones" folder. the don't appear in the proper place to use them.I read somewhere in the forum that the music player have a limit of around 100mb to read music. but it's that true? any way of raising it?

However, it only vibrates when I get a text message. Also, the sounds only happens at random times, when I have NO notifications. It really bothers me. I want my Droid to give off the notification ringtone only when I have notifications, not when I don't have them.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like to set a new default ringtone without using the ringtone picker. In other words, there is a certain ringtone that is already installed on my system, and I want to programmatically set it to be my default ringtone without any human interaction. The reason I want this is because every time I reboot my N-1, my previous default ringtone setting gets forgotten, and I am given another ringtone that I don't like. I want to set up an app that I can run manually (or better yet, to cause to automatically run upon startup) which will reset my default ringtone to the one that I like without my having to manually do this via the Settings.
The only examples I have found so far for doing this involve using the ringtone picker, but as far as I can tell, this requires human interaction, which I want to avoid.
Loving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1

I've tried setting a ringtone to a contact also and I have an individual contact to the phone and I don't get the option to set it as a ringtone. Either I have no clue or this phone is messed up!
