View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting, app, etc. that will make the "dial pad" show by default when I make a phone call?
Basically, there are few numbers I dial that use an automated system and I'm required to press certain numbers to continue and I grow tired of selecting the number pad myself.
It's not as important on incoming calls, but would be nice there as well I guess.
Loving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded this and i'm trying to figure it out. Is there a way to make this the default lock screen from setup? Or do I have to open it every time i restart my phone?
If another thread exists about this program just send it my way and I'll walk away hanging my head.
I had someone forward me via MMS a chicken dance/song thingy. Anyway, I went through a process to save it. It saved it on my SD Card. How in the world do you get to the SD Card to get info you saved on it? And how do you make the SD Card your default place to save pictures and other stuff?

How can I set a custom file I downloaded as my default ringtone? I got it off babilo.com and I want to make it my default... But I cant seem to find the song anywhere on my phone to make it my ringer?
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow to forward a text, using either default or Handcent, and get it to show who it was forwarded from? Handcent just copy/pastes the message, while default message app just puts "FWD:" before it. doesn't really forward it like my old dumbphones.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen the stock Messaging app wasn't cutting it, I installed Handcent. But it started flaking out on me, so I dumped it and went to the more-reliable chompSMS.I liked it a lot.But to be completely honest, I missed some of the features of Handcent. But reliability is Job 1, so I kept chompSMS for a few weeks. Then I heard that Handcent received a major update a few days ago, so I replaced chompSMS with Handcent. So far so good. I got all the features back, and I haven't had one single issue in days of texting. So if you're like me and you left Handcent for chompSMS, you may want to give the new version a spin.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed handcent on my DI, and I agree that it is better than the stock app. However, if I receive a new message, it opens in the stock app, and not Handcent. I have to manually start handcent to use it. How do I get handcent to be my default app for texting? I have searched through the settings and can't find anything that makes it the default app.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to get to the HTC's SMS message widget app to open up the Inbox of Handcent? I've turned everything off in the Desire's default messages app, but it still continues to open the HTC message app. Also when I've sent an SMS & press back, it automatically goes to the HTC message app?? Will pressing 'Force Stop' in the manage applications section stop the HTC app, or will it stop everything to do with the SMS functionality? I've read all I can on this & other sites, but I can't get it to change. Is this just the way it is & it may be altered in the future.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have installed Dolphin and like it, and I've made it my default browser, which is great. However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?
View 1 Replies View Relatedis there any way to change the "Messaging" button to launch Handcent SMS instead of the Defualt app? I love handcent and wanna use this button to launch that instead of the app I won't be using.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo like everyone else I was getting really annoyed about the time stamp issue with handcent under 2.2. I looked at the release notes for handcent and saw that version 3.27 added some sort of timestamp fix for the Droid X. Apparently this actually causes problems with the DroidX 2.2 official release. I got an older copy of handcent (version 3.26) and now everything appears with the correct time stamps. I got the apk from here: Download Handcent SMS for Android at Freeware Lovers. You will also need to use the app SMS Time Fix from the market to address the problem with the delay that causes messages to be out of order. So I guess one less thing broken, now if only they can fix the double lock.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made a pattern lock for handcent but I can still view those messages on the stock sms.
Is there a way to make a pattern lock for stock sms or prevent messages from handcent from being read on the stock sms?
So I downloaded Handcent and the handcent keyboard in order to have T9 functionality (I like to type fast with one hand), and found the Handcent T9 keyboard to be pure crap.
First, it doesn't even have basic words in it, but mainly the letters only show and the numbers don't, so have to do a seperate thing just to put numbers in. Since it was free I got what I paid for.
So I search the market and found Better Keyboard and then had to also buy its T9 app, called EvenBetter Keyboard and this is much better. Is it worth it to buy to apps (2.99+3.99) just for T9 when there was a half-ass working one in Handcent for free? I don't know, but I am happy with it.
Was wondering if other people used T9 on Handcent and/or EvenBetter keyboard and what are your thoughts.
Please dont let this thread become a QWERTY vs T9 fight. Just asking about T9 and which vendor do you prefer using?
I'm trying to change my "Account Picture" in Handcent so that I'm not a silhouette with a question mark above my face in the chat threads. Unfortunately, when I go to change my Account Picture, it does nothing. Instead, it changes my X's home screen background to whatever picture I had selected for my Account Picture.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've searched, but I guess I'm not putting in the right question.I have Handcent set up do show messages in bubbles, but it doesn't. Anyone have suggestions for what I'm doing wrong in setting it up?Is there somewhere that I'm missing that says USE BUBBLES or something? I have the colors and all set up, but it just shows the standard style. Under the bubble setting, I have Handcent selected.
