I have created some custom wallpaper and uploaded it to my SD card, but it is not showing up at all when I look for it in the Gallery application. I tried putting the wallpaper in my DCIM photos area, and I also created a Wallpaper folder and put them in there. Still can't get the images to show up at all. They are the correct size and are saved as jpeg files in Photoshop. What should I do?

I can't figure out how to add a custom wallpaper and my LP dock bar that I made to the gallery so I can use them. I transferred them to the SD card but the gallery isn't picking anything up. Do I have to make a folder inside the SD card folder with a certain name?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been reading up on rooting/overclocking and the like, and I've made the decision I want to try to overclock. It just seems like it's not running as good as it should be for a phone of its caliber. Killing apps seems to be the only way to improve the speed of the phone, and I think it's unnecessary to have to kill apps every time I do something on my phone. Some people have said that uninstalling app killers and not worrying about running apps has made their phone faster, and I tried that but it was running even more sluggishly than before. So if I overclock to 800-1000 and not kill apps, would I see a noticeable increase in performance? I usually run either PandaHome or just stock Home, and I may install something like BB if I get tired of home replacements, but I don't want to install a ROM at the moment, only if it's necessary.
And I have a few questions before I get started:
I've read a couple threads about rooting/overclocking, and none of them seem to say if it's possible to just get a kernal and overclocking abilities without installing a ROM and wiping the SD card, so is it possible to ONLY get overclocking abilities without installing a custom ROM and wiping the SD card?
I searched everywhere for this wallpaper and i don't find it..
View 7 Replies View RelatedI saved some wallpapers/backgrounds from the backgrounds app to my sd card. When I saved them, it said "saved to sd card in backgrounds directory(I think or maybe file?). I spent about 2 hours trying to find it---drained my battery doing it(battery still doing much better though--lasted 12 hours today with very, very heavy usage!).
I did see there are some apps to manage your sd card, but am thinking surely I can access it w/out one?
Odd issue I've found - I can't add a custom wallpaper. It tells me it's changed it, but nothing actually happens. I can change between HTC wallpapers just fine. I've tried, jpeg, PNG, various different resolutions (Including screen resolution and the wallpaper resolution of 960x800)...I'm stumped. Any ideas?

When I attach a file and pic to send as mms in handscent they are all alphabetical but in 2 sections. i'll scroll down through a-z, then after that it starts a-z again with other rigntones. They are all stored in same folder. Why is there 2 sections of ringtones instead of just all in one a-z list?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use a specific graphicpicture as the wallpaper for my Desire.
I tried resizing the JPG to 800x480 which I was told is the correct sizing for the Desire, and transferred it to the phone's SD Card.
The Photo app shows the picture in its full resolution and correct aspect ratio, which looks great.
The problem comes when I select the image for use a my wallpaper, I'm presented with a square box that is wanting to select which portion of the image to use as the wallpaper. I can resize the box, but only so far as the width of the display and the aspect ratio is locked and doesn't fit the screen proportions.
If I select the image this way, only a portion of the image is used as the wallpaper and it is stretched, which looks horrible.
I'm assuming it's something to do with the 'stitching' together of the background for all of the home screens, but has anyone managed to work out what's required of the original image (size, resolution, aspect ratio etc.) to enable a good looking background on the Desire that is fixed across each of the homescreens, i.e. doesn't scroll?
Or is there an app that manages this? I've taken a good look at the market, but nothing seems to work with the Desire2.1
I just purchased a fascinate today and it's pretty solid, however I noticed that when I try to set a custom picture for the background, it won't let me select the whole picture and it zooms in ridiculously too much. Now, I've tried almost everything, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me?Oh, if you have the fascinate, download handscent for messaging. I had a blackberry before the fascinate and it's similar to the crunch sms for blackberry. It's convenient because it allows you to customize the length of the vibrations and led lights, but the fascinate doesn't seem to have led light capability. It also allows you to customize the bubbles a well as the colors per contact and all that. Definitely something to look into.

View 3 Replies View Relatedtoday I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

However I have noticed an issue. after enough switches the wallpaper updates, but the lockscreen background reverts to the droid X default.
Only rebooting the phone seems to help.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running BB v.08 OCed to 1100 mhz and i'm using the neutral network LWP that was made specifically for the droid. Whenever I use my facebook widget or handcent quick reply, as i'm typing with the virual portrait mode keyboard once I reach a certain amount of characters my screen flashes and one of the default wallpapers that comes with the droid replaces my LWP. Why is it doing this? Once i finish the message I can go back and change the wallpaper, but it's really annoying how it changes by itself
