Now I know his front works in all but I would like to know if there is a way to make front your default call receiver. Otherwise..will I just have to screen the call and then call them back?

On my blackberry storm I use to be able to make it so that when I press the phone button my call log would show first then I could switch to the dialer if I want. Just trying to save the extra key stroke, is there a way to make it so when I press phone the call log will show first not the dialer?

Basically, there are few numbers I dial that use an automated system and I'm required to press certain numbers to continue and I grow tired of selecting the number pad myself.
It's not as important on incoming calls, but would be nice there as well I guess.
Loving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1

I had someone forward me via MMS a chicken dance/song thingy. Anyway, I went through a process to save it. It saved it on my SD Card. How in the world do you get to the SD Card to get info you saved on it? And how do you make the SD Card your default place to save pictures and other stuff?

I went to make a call and my Droid was off. I had checked email on it about two hours prior and had 80% battery life. When I got home I plugged it into the charger and nothing. Hit the power button, still nothing. Finally took out the battery and put it back in while still on the charger and finally it turned back on, with about the same battery life it had when I checked my email.
Then I tried to make a phone call and it simply would not make the call. I killed all tasks and tried again with no luck. Then the same text came through eight times. I turned the phone off and on again and the problem persisted. Finally about a half an hour later after leaving the phone alone, it seemed to be working fine. Made calls, texts, etc with no problems. An hour after that the phone shut off again. I had to take out the battery and put it back in again, and after about ten minutes it was working normally. This was about an hour ago.
what is the best way to make a phone call?I am coming from a BB Curve and when I wanted to call my husband, I just pushed the letter T (his name is Tim) and it would pop up with my T contacts and I would hit go and it would call him.Now, on the droid, I hit the phone icon, then hit contacts, then scroll through all the way down to T and select him there.Is there a better way? And I did search the forums, but the questions having to do with making calls were all way more complicated than this one!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using bluetooth lately to connect to my car and talk while driving. When I'm finished talking, and the other person hangs up, I can't turn my screen back on. Bluetooth must still be connected because my car radio won't come back on, almost like the phone call is still going on. Only way to get my screen back on is to take the battery out.

I downloaded Google voice app and everytime I try to place a call it tells me I am unable to make the call. I did set my new number as the phone being used. Any suggestions? When i try to call a number it doesnt even ring or anything. when someone tries to call me the phone doesnt ring either. What did i do wrong?. Everything else is working fine. View 13 Replies View RelatedMy Droid was in its leather carrying case in my backpack for about an hour while I was at the gym. When I pulled it out it was hot. Not warm, but hot. I couldn't stand to hold it against my ear to make a call.
When I pulled up the battery usage it did not appear to be anything out of the ordinary. The keyboard was locked when I pulled it out of the case so that eliminates errant keypresses opening up a bunch of apps and making calls while it was in there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call there is a short, odd ring-tone that occurs just after I press Dial and before the normal ringing sound begins to indicate the call is going through.
It's about 1/2 second long, can be quite loud sometimes, and is kind of high-pitched....sorry, it's hard to describe. The tone modulates up and down quite fast - da-dum-da-dum-dum (if you can imagine).
I tried re-programming the phone, and also updating roaming, and it's still there every time I make a call. I haven't made any changes to call settings to speak of...never had this on my D1.
I have lenovo a3000h, a mediatek device (MTK8389) jelly bean 4.2.2. Which library or file to hack to change the default exposure. This is needed because the front cam is dull and need to increase brightness.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)
I'm trying to create a default handler for .p7s/.p7b files in Android.
I figured the best start would be to create a BroadcastReceiver that will capture the intent from the Android email application (or K-9 if that's a need) for opening of certain attachments (filtered by mime type). Specifically I'm trying to handle s/mime email so looking for the "application/x-pkcs7-certificates" and "application/x-pkcs7-certificates" mime types.

I can't seem to get the IntentReceiver class to capture the intent no matter what filtering I use though. Am I going about this the wrong way?

How about two small rectangle mirrors mounted at 90 degrees with one edge of mirror touching just below the phone camera lens... and with some simple holder, it could turn phone into a front facing non reversed camera (2 mirrors -- like a periscope.)
Has anyone constructed this? Seems like it could be a simple product accessory that could world for multiple phones.

I am going crazy here... I've had this thing since it launched and everything is great except I keep hitting buttons with my face during calls! I mute, sometimes end calls, start 3 way calls etc and I have no idea how to prevent it. Is there any way I can make the screen lock during phone calls or change the call screen altogether?

My application is displaying information about the call and acts like a dialog (where it is translucent, so you can still see whatever is behind it). While in a call, I frequently hit the home button, and pull up other information (such as my contact list to read to someone the person's info). I would like to then click on my notification bar icon and pull up not only my activity, but also the in call phone screen. I know the in call screen has it's own icon in the notification list, but I would like to reduce the number of clicks to get back. code...

We have 5 different flats. and i want to put a touchpanel (tablet pc with android) to outdoor of gatedoor and another touchpanel to indoor of flats.
When my visitor come to my home he will select my name on list and ring me as calling on a video calling. When he my ring my touchpanel notice me about it and allow me to talk with him and see him.
Has anyone rigged up a device to convert the back camera into a front facing camera? I may experiment with this at some point. In the past I have simply sat in front of a mirror and pointed the camera into the mirror, this way I don't need to flip the phone back and forth to video chat.
However, I am envisioning a device (perhaps made of plastic or cardboard... business cards might even work) with angled mirrors on it, that can sit on top of the phone. One mirror would be facing the camera, the other would be facing you. The second mirror would mirror your image to the mirror facing the camera. Just a thought, I haven't played with this, so the image may be upside down, requiring another mirror. Attached is a paint mock up. I'll post my results when I get around to building one. I encourage others to try and improve upon a design. Could be a cool little project.
I have a broadcast class that blocks the incoming call. I want to call that broadcast receiver from the activity ? Can any one help me fix this. I appreciate your help. 1. Class A extends activity will call Class B that extends BroadcastReceiver, now I want to block calls , only based on certain requirements, which are checked in Class A, if true then call the Class B (or block the call in short)
