This feature was pretty swell on the blackberry storm. Just curious if this feature is available on the Motorboatin son of a Droid X.

Right now, when I press the button on my headphones, the stock music app plays/pauses. Double-click dials voicemail, rather than skipping to the next song. Is there any way to fix this? I tried TuneWiki, which is nice, but it crashed on me a couple of times. It behaves properly, but I'd obviously like it to keep playing.I realize I might be nit-picking with this one, but I screwed up my shoulder and will be in a sling riding the metro to work tomorrow. I'd like to keep the music playing and be able to change tracks using my one good hand, especially since it's likely that I'll be standing up.

First declared my array:
final int[] songs = {R.raw.ef101a, R.raw.ef101b, R.raw.ef101c, R.raw.ef101d, R.raw.ef101e};
Then called Media Player:

I cannot call the array through this media player call. How to do this?
Anybody else run in to this! Your at the gym listening to some Crue, Iron Maiden or some Hagar and all of a sudden the next song comes on and it's a f'ing ring tone, WTF is that doing playing! They all play, the ones I made and the ones I got from Mabilio ringtones! Anybody know how to fix this, it's just stupid!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has had luck playing .mp3 files that are around 100-200+ meg in size? I'm working through the "Best Player" thread trying to find something that will. So far the only one to come close is Ringdroid, of all things, but try as it did it would not load the file (all other apps I've tried so far just say it's an unsupported file).
Ps the file I'm trying plays fine in Audacity on my Linux box. An iPod will play these files but you cannot fast forward through the song at all.
Is there any way to get the details of current song played by media player?

View 49 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S. I exercise alot and would like to know if there is a music player that can skip to the next song by pressing the head phone button twice. I dont want to touch the phone as i live in Australia and it is hot and i dont want to sweat all over the phone and break something. With the Iphone they have something where you hit the button twice on the head phones and it skips a song. Three clicks of the button the music player goes back one song. Is there a music player app or a head set i can use. If i press the button now it just pauses.

I'm talking about when your playing music and you put the phone in your pocket and press down on the volume controls to change the song. The BlackBerrys have this and I don't understand why the Droid doesn't. It's so annoying taking it out of the pocket, going through the home screen just to change a song.

Is there anyway to change the song (as in skip it to the next) on Pandora when the screen is locked? I've been hooking my Ally up to an AUX port in my car and wanted to know if there was an easy way to keep changing the songs while on the road because I lock my screen with a touchcode and find it a big bother to keep having to turn my phone back on to change the song.

I got my droid friday morning and love it great phone and my 1st android device,coming from a centro.I have a question about the default video player. I bought the act 1 video player because it says it can be used as the default video player but I have no idea how to set it up as the default. I use orb to stream live tv to my phone the default player just doesnt cut it.The act 1 player does a much better job playing the movies I have loaded on the sd card, so I would think it would do better on streaming as well. When I open the stream from orb it opens in the default player. It runs ok for a few mins but quality is not what it should be, on my centro it was better with kinoma player.

Then in the all song list it randomly doubled up songs. But the worst thing it did was there a quite a few songs where it mixed up the song title with a different song.

I think they are the same), it only has 3 weeks i'm having a very strange and annoying problem, if someone can help i will really appreciate it, because it's making me crazy.When I add songs to the SD, the default Music Player the phone brings don't find them.. i tried a lot, configurations, folders, song names, song properties, etc etc.. but none of them worked.It didn't happen always, the first songs i added are there, and can be played normally, but if I add new ones they don't appear in the Music Player.Also the same happens if I add audio to the "notifications" or "ringtones" folder. the don't appear in the proper place to use them.I read somewhere in the forum that the music player have a limit of around 100mb to read music. but it's that true? any way of raising it?

I know my BBerry would advance songs by holding the "up" volume toggle for a few seconds but that doesnt seem to work. The rocker defaults to ringer, but since I like to use the voice search button a lot it is extremely irritating when the connection error bong or success bong blasts so loud. seems like those should be tied in with the ringer vol/vib control not media volume. I looked for a volume control app or widget to go with the buzzlock and ring profile icons i have unnecessarily taking up space, but i couldn't find one that looked like it fit the bill and worked on Droid.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced pretty severe lagging with the stock media player as it has been happening to me quite often lately.
I will be listening to an album and not using the phone otherwise, then I will try to switch to another application and everything will freeze. The music will stop, occasionally a black screen appears and no buttons work.
The result is usually a battery pull.... This has happened to me twice already today, so I wanted to see if others have experienced the same thing with the media player, and if it is the media player that's the culprit, perhaps recommend an alternative.
when I'm listening to audio with my headphones through cherry rplayer and then take the headphones out to use the speaker, I don't get any sound...I have to shut down any audio players functions before I get any sound out of the speaker. Not sure if cherry rplayer is the culprit or not. I have also noticed that my media player starts playing by itself...
View 8 Replies View RelatedQuestion: The EVO 4G plays an audio file whenever you adjust the ringtone volume with the volume rocker buttons. Does anyone know which file this is and where it's located? Why I'm asking (in case you're interested): I'm one of those that does not like to hit the power button everytime I want to sleep/lock or wake up my phone. It's simply an awkward button for me to hit and I'm afraid I'll wear it out over time or accidentally drop the phone. So, I'm using 'Screen Off' to sleep the phone with homescreen shortcut and 'No Lock' to prevent the phone from going entirely into lock mode. This lets me use the volume rocker buttons to wake the phone. The problem is that each time I hit the button it plays the 'plunk' sound indicating the volume level, which is driving me a little nuts (think Chinese water torture). I've been unable to find a solution to this problem, and am now looking at finding the media/audio file for this and simply replacing it with a silent audio clip. But I searched for all media files in /system, played them each, and couldn't find a match.
