I was using GO lancher , today i buy new Sd card 32 gb class 10 , my old one was 16 gb class 10 , when move all files from old card to new one i put it to phone and turn it on , and i notice applications on Sd Card not showing up and in lancher ther places is empty , i try to refresh lancher , to mount - unmound , clear cache , remove battery for 15 min , still cant back my applications.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I been tweaking my phone (theming it) but I'm stuck on adding a widget by long pressing/add widget but then the UCCW weren't there to be selected.
I'm currently on Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 with Holo Launcher, then tried multiple Launcher e.g ADW, GoLauncher, SSLauncher but none of them shows the UCCW Widget. I've wasted the whole day trying to find a solution but I give up and ask the good people here instead.
My mom has an HTC Inspire. She uses the stock HTC calendar to access her Calendar, but her google calendar isn't showing up. I have double checked my accounts and Calendar is checked under the sync settings. However, when I go into the HTC calendar, the only calendar available is the PC Sync calendar. When I go into settings, and Calendars, the Google Calendar doesn't show up there either. I have added another google account to the fun just to check and it syncs the account normally.

I used my friend's email to log into play store and the problem's gone. Everything work fine. I created a new email account but it still doesn't work I can only fully use play store using his email.
When I got my S4 I transferred pictures from my computer to the phone under pictures so that I can use them as my wallpaper. The album showed up in the gallery and all was well, but whenever I transfer new pictures into said folder, the pictures are not updated in the phone gallery. I deleted the album in my gallery and the pictures off my phone in hopes that all of the new pictures will show up if I transfer the pictures again from my computer to my phone. Now the album isn't even shown in the gallery. I've selected the option to show all content on the device but the album is still not showing.

The stock battery usage graph screen doesn't show any apps, only core Android elements like Phone Idle, WiFi, Display, etc.
It's not because apps didn't use enough CPU time.
I have an ATT SGS3 and today I flashed 4.2. Everything is cool, but due to multiple flashes over the past few days, I had several (0) folders on my SD card. I know this is due to 4.2 having the option to have multiple users. Since I had like 6 (0) folders, I moved my main folder back to the newest folder. The problem? While I can see the folder in Root Explorer and CWM, it does not show up when I plug it into the computer via USB. I only see one folder and nothing else.
How can I fix it so I can see this folder when plugged into the computer? The way it is now, my personal ringtones, music and everything else are not being found as they are not being seen.
I have a Samsung S4. I recently created new folders to organize my vacation photos. 2 folders do not show up on my phone but I can see them all when I plug the usb into the PC and view them there,

The rest of the folders show up, just not these two. One previously showed up on my phone and I was able to view it just fine but then I renamed it and now I can't see it anymore. I don't believe it was hidden and I even did a reboot but still these folders no longer show up. I can only access them if I plug in the usb cable to the pc and view from there.
I am using the application LINK2SD for transferring my applications to SD card. But what I see is, there is some memory still used from the phone memory even after moving that application.
So, I want to know what can be the reason for that and is there any way to move that data part to SD card?
this is not making any sense in rooting the device as still my phone memory gets low.
I install CM9. Everything runs OK, but cm9 doesn't load my sim card. I can't write messages and make a call.

I need some way to access the SD card on my SGS2 GT-9100 from certain applications in windows. E.g., when I try browsing for a destination folder in the phone through these programs, my phone is not recognized at all.
The long story:The problem I am trying to overcome is copying of images from my computer to my phone without changing the creation date (for sorting purposes). When copying from my computer to my device this attribute changes an thus all images have the same date and there is no way of making any sense of which picture was taken when.
So my plan is to get access to the images on my device, after altering there dates, and use a program which will change the creation date from the modification date (which holds the original date taken of the pictures).
Basically, I'm unable to make a briefcase folder on my phone's SD card. I can make new folders, but I don't get the range of options that you would normally get when hovering your cursor over the "New" option (when opening the "New" context menu) when accessing my SD card via a usb cable plugged into the phone; I'm actually able to get the context menu when accessing the SD card by sticking it straight into the computer, but when it remains in my phone (and the phone's hooked up to the computer), I don't get the context menu.
Here's what I want:
Obviously, I can just use the SD card by plugging it directly into the computer, but it's inconvenient to take off the case, remove the back, etc. I'd rather just plug a USB cable directly into the phone. Why is my phone preventing me from getting that context menu when doing so though?

Anyways, I've been reading that you cannot install applications to the SD card of a Nexus One, only to the very small 512mb internal memory. I've been through forums and tutorials as well as the Sample-Code that comes with the SDK, but to no avail.

I've also tried adding pd.show(); and messed around with the parameter in new ProgressDialog resulting in nothing at all (except errors that the chosen parameter won't work), meaning: the ProgressDialog won't ever show up. The app just keeps running as if I never added the dialog.
I use the Handcent SMS and the LED color (blue) and it worked perfectly fine. I set the color to a custom color now and when I get a text, the LED for SMS doesn't show up. I also have the custom color off now too. I also have Missed Call. I used it to set a color for the SMS LED, but it still does not work.

I then installed the Android ADT plugin, but when I try to configure it in the Windows > Preferences dialog, the Android Plugin doesn't show up in the left pane. Instead I see DDMS. This prevents me from specifying the location of the Android SDK (unless there is another way) to give me the appropriate templates and such.

And none of the newly copied tracks show up on any of my media players. I can reach them in Astro and such and even play them but there is no info showing up on the media player screen. I tried to erase cache of the MP and the media, tried to reboot the device but nothing happened. Funny thing though: When I erase some of my old mp3s and then load them back up, media players show them properly. I really don't know what to do please somebode help. The only thing I didn't try is restoring to factory default.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an Activity which fetches some XML from the web via HTTP and then parses it into a DOM. It then pulls some required data from the DOM.
As you can imagine, this takes a few moments, so I put that code into it's own thread and then tried to set up a ProgressDialog to display while the user is waiting for that to complete.
The problem is that the ProgressDialog doesn't display at all. If I remove the call to dismiss() then it displays after the work is done and, obviously, just sits there...

Any ideas on what I'm missing? I've seen a few similar threads on this using AsyncTask, but I wanted to use good old fashioned Threads directly and the solutions suggested don't apply.
I have map in my android app. On emulator is everything OK. But on device (Motorola Droid) the map shows marker but doesn't show real map in background!! The connection is OK and I held the INTERNET permission in my manifest. What is causing this problem? Any idea?
