May 26, 2010Running Droid 2.1 stock with Dolphin HD.This is a new problem as I never had it before with Dolphin. Just changed to Dolphin HD.When I try to make a bookmark shortcut to the desktop, the bookmarks it shows me are from Browser, not Dolphin. In Dolphin HD, I see all my bookmarks, but they are not choices for screen shortcuts.

Sep 8, 2010Sometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
Android : Dolphin Browser Bookmark Sync
Jan 23, 2010I have my Dolphin bookmarks set to sync with my Google account. When I tell it to sync, I don't receive any errors. It tells me downloading bookmarks / uploading bookmarks.
However, when I go to my Google bookmarks, I don't see anything. I am going here:

Where should I go on my computer to view the bookmarks I synced with Dolphin?
Android :: Dolphin HD And Stock Browser Bookmark Integration?
Aug 1, 2010I have a Evo4G with Sense, and included is this really fantastic widget that displays all of my bookmarks as a full panel on Sense. It scrolls, has more than 6 bookmarks, just great stuff.
Well recently I discovered DolphinHD, and want to commit fully to the browser, however, I lose the functionality of my widget because it points to where the stock browser saves bookmarks.
So my question is this, can I re-point said widget, or is there another widget available on the market with the same functionality (I think the answer is no), or is there someway to use dolphin to manage/save bookmarks in the same location as the stock browser?
Motorola Droid : Sense Bookmark Widget For Droid?
Apr 16, 2010So please please forgive me if this has been asked, or is in conjunction with another thread, but I have a question for you all. Maybe you guys can help. So I know the sense Roms for the droid are around the corner (hopefully), but im not completely sure of what is included in it.
My only desire from the sense ROM would be the bookmark widget that is found on sense phones. Looks like the pic below. I was wondering if there might be apk out there that could be ported over with the fixed resolution for our phone. Or is my phone waiting for the sense ROM. Sorry I'm kinda obsessed with that widget, but not worth it to trade my droid for just that.

I'm on 2.1 and updated to the newest leaked rom yesterday. I still use the standard browser as well as Xscope and I liked the fact I could edit these but I can't seem to find a way to do that on the newest 2.1.

Jan 5, 2010how do i add a bookmark to the bookmark widget with a picture?currently mine has facebook, bbc, cnn, myspace, amazon google and ebay.id like to remove a few and add my own, im using the dolphin browser when i hit add bookmark on the widget it says bookmark saved but doesnt get added to the widget but only to the dolphin bookmarks. i want to be able to have it in the widget so when i click it it just opens up the webpage. is this possible?i read someone said open the browser and hit menu to get up a menu to edit the bookmarks? i hit menu and the only one i can see is add bookmark. and the rest are not relevant.if i hit the plus sign at the top left of dolphin i can get the list of bookmarks. if i hit menu again the only options are snyc, import and label. i dont see how you can edit them again.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this, but sometimes when I click on one of the bookmarks i've saved (especially after browsing the internet a bit) the phone will open the browser to the last page viewed - not the bookmark I selected.

Apr 27, 2010Been trolling for a while but decided to register today. I have a question to some of you guru's. Opera seems to load very fast as does Dolphin, is there any differences between the two? Haven't tried Youtube on Opera but works fine in 3G on Dolphin (because I know the Youtube app on 1.5 doesn't). I do love the pinch zoom that Dolphin has. Question if and when we ever get the OTA to 2.x, I heard the pinch zoom will be disabled, is this true? I hope not.

Sep 6, 2010I have been using Opera Mini 5 for quite a while now. It seems to load pages several times faster than some of the more popular browsers, such as Dolphin. Why doesn't Opera Mini 5 get some love? Could it just have something to do with the cache? Maybe the more and more I go into the website, the faster it should load?

Jan 9, 2014I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?
I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, Android 4.3, not rooted.

Oct 10, 2010Just thought I'd share that I downloaded Dolphin HD and it really is quite different from the stock browser. Seems faster, has nice features for eBay and Amazon, and just like how it handles. Maybe because it's different.
Question for Dolphin vets: I use the bookmarks widget as one of my homescreens, and when I click a bookmark, it does it via Dolphin. Fine. But when I click on the little globe at the top, it defaults to the stock browser. How do change this to be Dolphin? I've looked under Settings > manage apps, but nothing really asked me about which browser to make default.
HTC Desire :: LauncherPro Bookmarks Widget + Dolphin HD Browser
Sep 13, 2010When I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?

Aug 24, 2010My browser is Dolphin HD and I need a bookmark widget. I have a full page (4x4) to fill, and would like something that shows either a scrolling list or a collection of thumbnails of the sites. The stock Android widget only shows 6 thumbnails (non scrolling) and the HTC Bookmarks widget will only show 6 bookmarks, 5 of which are links to Orange webpages that STILL show after I deleted them! I have a fairly short list of about 10 bookmarks, stored by Dolphin, and I want quick access to them from my homescreen without placing individual icons.
