I'm trying to go back to 2.0.1.
I have everything downloaded and installed including the latest Droid drivers.
It appears as if RSD Lite doesn't recognize that there is a phone attached.
How to get it to recognize my phone?

My phone no longer shows that it's "charging", but it beeps if I unplug it and says to connect the charger. I'm not sure how to restart the phone (I think that might fix the problem) other than taking the battery out. Of course, I pulled the "Pull Me" tab, so it's going to be a pain to get the battery out. View 4 Replies View RelatedI flashed my phone to 2.0.1 b/c I thought I had to do that. Turns out I didn't, but there is outdated and updated information out there and I was misled. Anyway, 2.0.1 installed fine and it booted up, though my phone wasn't activated. Anyway, then I realized I needed SPRecovery, so I installed the sbf for that using RSD Lite. It installed successfully as far as i can tell? But it did a reboot, and now it's just stuck on the white-background Moto logo while plugged into my USB. RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone."
View 4 Replies View RelatedSorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know if you can set Google Voice Lite on my droid to not send so many notifications. I love the program, but when someone leaves a message, I get a text, email, and the google voice icon all in the notification bar.
I am using my old verizon cell number and just using the google voice for the messaging function.
I just would want the google voice icon to light up and then i can go right to the program.
Suddenly my phone no longer shows up when I connect it to my pc via usb and set it to usb disk drive. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Droid is for some reason not playing right with my computer. I have the latest Moto device drivers installed for Win7 64... Here is what happened so far, my puppy chewed threw the charger that came with my Droid (no the Droid was not attached to it at the time but the charger was plugged into my computer) When I tried to attach the charger to my phone after this it would go in and out of being attached, like you would expect with a connection that had been chewed threw... So I went to Amazon and ordered a pair of new mini USB cables for the Droid.
Ok so they came in the mail today and so I went to hook my Droid up... and boom got the same in and out connection issues as I did with the ruined USB cable. Eventually it just goes to the bootloader and I can not get out of the bootloader until I unplug the USB and reboot the phone. Here is the other thing when I turn USB Debugging on I no longer get the Moto pop up that I used too when the phone would attach (so I can not use ADB). I have turned off USB Debugging and that seemed to help for a bit, however when I turned it back on it would say that the USB device is not detected or faulty (this also would take the USB connected notification out of my notification bar)...
Ok so I have no idea at this point what I should do... I am using Jrummy's remix of CM 6.0.6.2 (or whatever number it is on :P ) with the DE theme on top of it. I have never had any problems before the puppy chewed threw the old USB cable.
I originally had Vista Ultimate x64 on my computer and when root had come out for the Droid X I plugged it into my computer for the first time. Everything was detected fine and the drivers auto loaded themselves and root was successful.
Flash forward to after vacation, still on Vista, I plugged the Droid into the computer and it wouldn't even detect a connection. It thought it was in an outlet. I tried unmounting the sd card, toggling usb dev, rebooting with the usb in, etc. and nothing worked.
Now I clean installed and put Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and the same thing occurs. I put the Motorola drivers on my pc and the same thing occurs. My Droid doesn't even detect it is connected to a PC, no USB sign pops up on the Droid, nothing. I have tried refreshing Device Manager but nothing shows up.
I am using the original cable supplied with the Droid X.
I sync my Eris with Outlook on my computer but have not done so since March 2010. When I now plug my Eris into a USB port, it does not recognize it as another drive or hardware like it used to. The computer does recognize other peripherals when plugged into the USB port.

It just says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (H" when I click on it. I was able to sync all my music on Friday, what could possibly be going on now? I am using my roommates Droid USB (don't think that would have anything to do with but thought I would mention).
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had mounted my sd card to transfer files between pc (XP) and eris.
i correctly unmounted from pc (safely remove hardware) and then stopped file sharing on eris.
i took the card out and put in a different one (i don't have a card reader and was trying to transfer some stuff).
when i tried to put the original card back in, my finger slipped as i was pushing it in and it got like halfway in and then popped back out.
the eris saw this as an unsafe removal.
now, it keeps telling me "the sd card is blank or using an unsupported .." something. if i tap on the notification, it just takes to me a window to format it. i keep saying yes to format, but it never formats.
i've tried formatting from settings and tried mounting it again and formatting from the pc. when i do that, the pc says that the drive size is 1.08 TB (?!?!?). this is the 8GB sd card that comes with the eris. and it also won't let me format.
what gives? i've tried taking it out and putting it back in. it keeps saying unsafe removal but the option to unmount is grayed out and i can't choose it.
i tried taking it out, turning off the eris, putting the card in and turning back on. still nothing.
what's going on here?
Any idea where to get a download of RSD Lite 4.6?
EVERY link i have found on here leads to NOTHING..
Need to unroot and i cant find it anywhere.. and 4.5.3 will not find my droid. (am using windows 7) not sure if that is a reason but the unroot guide on here calls for 4.6.
So I installed the update.zip without taking any steps to retain root, so of course now that 2.2 is installed I no longer have root. I did a cache wipe and data wipe, then setup RSD Lite to flash the 2.1 SBF onto my phone so I can follow the procedures to keep root while upgraded to 2.2.When I click start on RSD Lite, I am getting a failed flash process error.Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Also, the device properties are showing a lot of N/A in the place of version numbers, IMEI/ESN/MEID, etc.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have used RSD Lite before to re-root my phone after applying 2.1 so I am comfortable using it again. I was just wondering if there is an easier way to unroot my phone. I know all of you are saying why unroot? Well I really don't utilize the root at all anymore. I originally did it to change the status bar to black (this is prolly the only thing that I will miss), to be able to downloas Led Hack (I recently uninstalled it and it appears that the leds turn off now in 2.2, I dunno if that was fixed in 2.1), and for wireless and wired tether (pdanet works without rooting and I have never once used the wireless tether other than to they and see if it works. It seems that I have had more problems with rooting then when my phone was unrooted.
Yea my phone is faster now bc of OC but unrooted it wasn't that slow anyway and I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I get email notifications all the time even when I do not have a new email and it is really bothering me. So after that rant I was just wondering if there was an easier way to unroot. I tried downloading the rom from rom manager verizon 2.0.1 stock without root odexed and it gave me some error when installing. So if I have to use RSD Lite I will I was jsut wondering if there was an easier way. Also since I will not be rooted anymore is there any other program out there that saves data other than TiBu? I take it I will not be able to restore data with TiBu being unrooted. Don't know if this matters with RSD Lite but right now I am on BB 0.4 using chevy 1g kernal with the most updated baseband of .01P

Stock, Dolphin HD, Opera and Skyfire all look a little sluggish compared xScope. Throughout most of the other threads suggesting apps and browsers I rarely saw this one get more than a cursory mention, so I thought it would be nice to point everyone towards another option. I'm currently using the lite version, but I'm more than likely going to pony up for the paid to help out the developer and unlock some features.

The problem is exactly as it sounds. I have my RSD up, it recognizes my phone, i have my SBF selected, but the start button is grayed out and I cant select it...
I'm un-rooting my phone using OMJ's guide in the everything root related guide, and I'm getting a "Failed Flashing Process" error in RSD Lite.
I am running as admin, I have the correct drivers (I recently rooted...), I have the sbf in C: .... yet it fails.
The error says " Failed Flashing Process. Failed Flashing Process. Interface BP: Error flashing subscriber unit. Device API Error: 0xE0030009 Command: ADDR (0xE0231009); phone connected"
I am going to try flashing SPRecovery to see if I can at least get to a working point.
SPRecovery worked. It boots into 2.1 and has SPRecovery as the recovery. I still want to get it to stock, so I am going to try and download the stock sbf again (it doesn't have a checksum so I have no way of knowing if it is good or not...) .... here goes nothing!
I just had this problem and I've seen other people having the same issue. I found the solution, at least for me, so I thought I'd share it. I was trying to flash the SPrecovery spf file using RSD Lite, but it would fail immediately. I found someone else on another forum who discovered that the file had to be in the root of his C: drive for this to work. I gave it a shot and it worked with no problems. This seems really strange. I think he was running Vista. I'm running Vista 64-bit. I was already running RSD Lite as administrator, so that alone didn't help. Moving the file to the root of C:

View 6 Replies View RelatedI think the Dialer is very powerful but I am unable to get it to recognize parts of a phone number. For example, most of my saved numbers include area codes (most of them are 'xyz'). When I type the first three of the 7-digit number (excluding the area code) no results show. It seems as though the area code must be typed in order to get results to show. Obviously, almost 95% of my contacts have an area code of 'xyz' and that's, IMO, too many buttons to press to start narrowing down to get a specific contact. Does anyone know how to change this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe first couple of times I connected my new Captivate to my PC via USB, it worked fine. I was given the notification to mount and view my files, and I was able to access everything. This morning, I plugged my phone in, and told it to mount in the notifications, but it did not appear on my PC. When I unplugged it and tried it again, it was not recognized at all as a USB drive.
Notes:
-I am using the "internal SD card". I have no external microSD to use at the moment.
-The phone charges when plugged into the computer, but does not mount.
-I have tried reinstalling the USB drivers via links found on this forum.
my phone has been randomly spazzing out. I have a LG G2 with 4.4.2
It will slide left to right, open and close apps, etc. without me touching it.
It will go periods of time without doing this, then not stop doing it for a good few minutes. i did just factory reset it, but it is still doing the same thing.
Today I woke up to my phone charging by the night... but it downcharged to 15% of batterry. I reboot it and find out that my SD card showed up info of being "empty". The minitool partition wizard on a PC shows me that info:
no no, the memory card is 8GB not 32MB. How to recover the partitions? Also, the SD card has been partitioned for use with app2sd programs with this tut: [URL], because my phone (HTC Explorer "Pico") has a very small amount of internal memory. The rom was stock though.
Of course I could re-format it, but I don't want to, because the data stored there was very special to me. I want to recover it.
when I connect my Sony Xperia T to my home computer, the ADB driver will be installed properly. When I connect the same phone to my work computer, Windows just doesn't want to accept the drivers. The following things are equal:
- USB debugging is always on on the phone
- Both computer are running Windows 7 64bit
- On both computers I am pointing the Windows driver installation at the same folder with drivers downloaded from Sony.
The thing that is different is the device ID that Windows reports in the Details dialogue from Device manager:
On the home PC it is:

USBVID_0FCE&PID_5182&MI_01
On the other PC where things go wrong it is:

So it seems Windows is not recognizing the phone as a composite device (MI is it multiplexing identifier?). I double checked that USB debugging is always on and also rebooted Windows.
I am working on putting the new update on my wifes phone and I already installed the drivers needed on my windows xp but everytime I plug in my wifes moment it says USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned! I've tried everything I installed from sprint download site. I have tried Samsung studio. Also the tethering site. Also just the drivers nothing seems to work.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Desire today, and despite spending many hours carefully updating my Google contacts, I've found that received calls and SMS messages are not displayed with the contact they're from. I believe this is because the details in my contacts list are in the format "01234 567789", whereas the incoming calls/messages are in the format "+441234 567789", and it's not realizing that the "+44" and "0" are interchangable. How can I resolve this, without going through all my contacts changing the prefix on the phone number?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Samsung Galaxy i7500 with Bell mobility and I am trying to figure all these threads out and how to root, and how to upgrade my firmware, but the biggest hurdle I have come to is my pc will not recognize my phone as a 'phone' it only sees the internal sd card and the external card. I have downloaded three different versions of the samsung PC suite, and everyone will not recognize it. Am I missing an important driver? All I am doing is connecting via USB, and on my phone I choose to mount USB so I can access my sd cards on my PC.
