My phone no longer shows that it's "charging", but it beeps if I unplug it and says to connect the charger. I'm not sure how to restart the phone (I think that might fix the problem) other than taking the battery out. Of course, I pulled the "Pull Me" tab, so it's going to be a pain to get the battery out. I'm trying to go back to 2.0.1.
I have everything downloaded and installed including the latest Droid drivers.
It appears as if RSD Lite doesn't recognize that there is a phone attached.
How to get it to recognize my phone?
I am currently running the 2.2 Froyo leak on my Droid X, and I noticed that there is a Voice Search app in the Market that my phone does not recognize as being installed. Is this an updated version of the software included in the leak?

Or is it better to let it dwindle down to 15% or so and then charge it while at work?

I have a Droid X and so does my GF. Both of us have obviously been adding apps, trying to figure things out, etc. quite a bit. She plugged hers in last night to charge and it turned off. We thought maybe because it was so warm from messing with it. Well, today it's turned off twice for no reason at all. Anyone else have this problem or have a recommendation? Everything seems ok on hers when we compare our two. Mine has yet to do this once?

Does anyone know why my Droid says the battery is fully charged, 100% (with cord attached), then if I put it in the charger the red light stays on and it charges for another 30 minutes? The app battery status pro (new) also shows a higher voltage when said battery is re-inserted into the phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Droid is for some reason not playing right with my computer. I have the latest Moto device drivers installed for Win7 64... Here is what happened so far, my puppy chewed threw the charger that came with my Droid (no the Droid was not attached to it at the time but the charger was plugged into my computer) When I tried to attach the charger to my phone after this it would go in and out of being attached, like you would expect with a connection that had been chewed threw... So I went to Amazon and ordered a pair of new mini USB cables for the Droid.
Ok so they came in the mail today and so I went to hook my Droid up... and boom got the same in and out connection issues as I did with the ruined USB cable. Eventually it just goes to the bootloader and I can not get out of the bootloader until I unplug the USB and reboot the phone. Here is the other thing when I turn USB Debugging on I no longer get the Moto pop up that I used too when the phone would attach (so I can not use ADB). I have turned off USB Debugging and that seemed to help for a bit, however when I turned it back on it would say that the USB device is not detected or faulty (this also would take the USB connected notification out of my notification bar)...
Ok so I have no idea at this point what I should do... I am using Jrummy's remix of CM 6.0.6.2 (or whatever number it is on :P ) with the DE theme on top of it. I have never had any problems before the puppy chewed threw the old USB cable.
I originally had Vista Ultimate x64 on my computer and when root had come out for the Droid X I plugged it into my computer for the first time. Everything was detected fine and the drivers auto loaded themselves and root was successful.
Flash forward to after vacation, still on Vista, I plugged the Droid into the computer and it wouldn't even detect a connection. It thought it was in an outlet. I tried unmounting the sd card, toggling usb dev, rebooting with the usb in, etc. and nothing worked.
Now I clean installed and put Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and the same thing occurs. I put the Motorola drivers on my pc and the same thing occurs. My Droid doesn't even detect it is connected to a PC, no USB sign pops up on the Droid, nothing. I have tried refreshing Device Manager but nothing shows up.
I am using the original cable supplied with the Droid X.
I sync my Eris with Outlook on my computer but have not done so since March 2010. When I now plug my Eris into a USB port, it does not recognize it as another drive or hardware like it used to. The computer does recognize other peripherals when plugged into the USB port.

It just says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (H" when I click on it. I was able to sync all my music on Friday, what could possibly be going on now? i correctly unmounted from pc (safely remove hardware) and then stopped file sharing on eris.
i took the card out and put in a different one (i don't have a card reader and was trying to transfer some stuff).
when i tried to put the original card back in, my finger slipped as i was pushing it in and it got like halfway in and then popped back out.
the eris saw this as an unsafe removal.
now, it keeps telling me "the sd card is blank or using an unsupported .." something. if i tap on the notification, it just takes to me a window to format it. i keep saying yes to format, but it never formats.
i've tried formatting from settings and tried mounting it again and formatting from the pc. when i do that, the pc says that the drive size is 1.08 TB (?!?!?). this is the 8GB sd card that comes with the eris. and it also won't let me format.
what gives? i've tried taking it out and putting it back in. it keeps saying unsafe removal but the option to unmount is grayed out and i can't choose it.
i tried taking it out, turning off the eris, putting the card in and turning back on. still nothing.
what's going on here?
Will virtually any mini-USB based cable, car charger, and wall charger work with my HTC Droid Eris? Mini-USB cables are generally universal, but I want to ensure that I use a compatible car charger and wall charger that won't damage my phone. The official Verizon accessories of course seem overpriced, if any generic solution would work equally well.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the VZW car charger they were bundling back in November, it was not meant for the Droid as it wasn't even listed, it was meant for BB etc. What I have found is that it doesn't give out enough power to charge the Droid at the same time that you are using GPS so the phone actually discharges the battery as you are using. I found the Moto charger on Amazon and am wondering if anyone else has used it and if it provides enough power to charge the phone and use GPS. It did not say "charging" and it actually never di gain any battery life from it.Maybe it was defective?So I decided to go and get a Jabra USB car charger and still the same problem. When you plug it in the phone says charging, and the red light on the adapter goes on when plugged in, but the battery percentage only decreases over time and the little light on the left that normally goes on does not. Has this happened to anyone before? I switched out the USB cable but it's still not charging. The next obvious idea is to buy a new charger but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I did. Also, if need be, anyone know of cheap places online to buy one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a generic car charger for my Droid. My thought was something along the lines of "a micro USB charger is a micro USB charger" and clearly I was wrong.
I noticed that after an hour on the charger while i was using GPS, 3G and Bluetooth, that the charge on my phone had actually dropped by about 10%. At best, the generic charger only slowed the drain from the battery. I replaced it with a Rocketfish charger from Best Buy and, while charging was painfully slow, it did charge.
Maybe it was the brand of charger and maybe my charger was faulty but I thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who is going to grab one.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a micro USB charger for my Bluetoth headset (Electronics) and another for my work phone (LG). I can't seem to get the X to charge up using either??? Interestingly, if I take the iPhone charger and change the cable from the USB/30 pin to the USB/micro USB it works fine. All the chargers are rated 5V. The X on any regular USB port on any computer I've tried so far. So, if the 5V is the same for all those chargers, is then just a question of driving enough amps into the X?
