On the bottom of the screen, there are three icons, a phone, the arrow for the app launch, and a head signifying contacts I assume. However, while the app launch works fine, no matter how much I press on the phone or the little head, nothing happens. Are they meant to launch the phone and the contacts panes or are they just dummy images? I'm quite confused.

View 37 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.

For instance if you add someone as a friend on facebook and they have their email and phone number filled out in their profile, that information would automatically be added to your phone. My problem is when I touch the pic it calls the person when what I want it to display the options, call, text, email etc. I know if you touch the bottom bar it does that but it takes some effort to get that right and not call someone by mistake.
Love the Droid. One thing that bothers me is the proprietary usb port. I have so many micro usbs laying around and none of them will work.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIs anyone having trouble with Chrome to phone? or Fox to phone? It was working like a charm and then stopped sending pages. It happens on every computer I use it on and every browser. All I get is nothing or and error "error can't send page" from a Chrome browser and I actually it the devs page on Fox to phone saying 404 page not found. I've uninsulated and reinstalled both the phone app and the browsers plug ins numerous times. After doing that it may work once but generally does the same thing.

The "FVE" said it was something I downloaded from the market and basically made me reset. It really is not a big deal to do a reset since all the contacts can get synced to your google account. View 7 Replies View RelatedOn my DROID X with 2.1, I was successful at transferring my Contacts after uploading a csv file to GMAIL made from my old phone (Samsung Omnia). What I have ended up with on my Droid X is only being able to see the contacts in "All Contacts" and none of them show up in "Phone Contacts". Also, even in "All Contacts" , all it gives is the name of the person, and no other attached information like phone number, address, etc. When I go to check the contacts online on the PC on GMAIL, when I click on an individual contact, all the missing information on the DROID is there and perfectly intact. Losing my mind over this and hoping and praying I will not have to pull up "Edit" on all 210 entries and enter the numbers and adresses by hand.

Since Android has the ability to sync Gmail contacts, I exported her phone contacts and imported them to Gmail online. The problem is that now her phone seems to be confused on what data to use (contacts physically stored onboard vs. Gmail contacts online). We have changed the view under Contacts to only show Google contacts, but that doesn't solve the problem. Since she no longer needs the contacts physically stored on her phone, how do we delete those WITHOUT deleting the Google contacts also... where are they physically stored on the phone?
