Motorola Droid :: No Zip Codes Shown In Contacts?
Jan 11, 2010None of my contacts on my phone show the zip codes in their addresses but they're all there in my gmail contacts when I check on a computer.

Motorola Droid X :: Contacts Not Shown From Main Contacts
Nov 25, 2010Have new Droid X, getting settled in and doing all the setup tasks. Migrating from Palm Treo. Exported all contacts by category(group) as CSV. Imported into Gmail, all was well. I then set up my ICE contacts and notes. Now my contacts are gone from the main contacts button on the home screen. I still have access to the contacts from inside the dialer,email and messaging apps, but when I press the contacts icon on the lower right of the home screen, I get
Contacts: Status
Contacts: Google (with the + mark to add a new contact)
No recent status updates. If I touch the 'Contacts: Google' button, I can choose between 'all contacts, Favorites, Google, Phone contacts', but all are blank.

Feb 11, 2010As I am a new user I do have a question. When I try to compose a text message in the Messaging app my contacts do not show up whether I search by phone number or by name. My contacts are synced with my phone through my gmail account. I am able to see my contacts as well as go into the contacts app and send a text from there. Is there something that I am doing wrong or perhaps just not getting?

Aug 10, 2010In Google Contacts I've entered birthdays and subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Google Calendar.They show up as intended in Google Calendar but in my phones calendar they're all listed twice. Unsubscribing from the contacts birthdays calendar makes both disappear, so they're not from some other calendar.Is this a bug in the Galaxy S calendar? Any solutions?

Sep 21, 2010I do not know how but for some reason the phone numbers in my contacts (People) list are now displayed in US format instead of UK i.e. 123-456-78910 instead of 12345678910. When sending an SMS and i load up the contacts list BOTH the US and UK formats are displayed. I have tried deleting all my contacts and reimporting them from a back up on the SD card but no change. I have also tried to change the view settings of the list in case its my google contacts showing but it shows 0 contacts for google but 149 for the phone, i only have half that. I have used HTC Sync Google sync recently, could these be the problem? If so how do i fix it?

Jun 23, 2010Just got my 1st smart phone last week (Desire) and to be honest i am still not sure what to think of it. One of the problems that i have been having is that when i start a text message and go to put the contact in all of my contacts are duplicated, even though this is not the case when i open up the People folder. Is there any way that i can get this to return to normal? Each of the duplicated contacts in the messages widget has a blank face next to it and the other has a picture of what looks like a sim card.

When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. I have access control enabled and it hasn't notified me that a device is trying to connect. I followed and have only done the following to root and to install wireless tether to the phone:

Nov 11, 2009The Droid is my first smartphone. Before it I was texting with the dialpad, and the phone would count down how many letters I have left (out of 160, the text msg length). Using the "messaging" icon on the Droid it never says when I'm approaching the text message limit. So is this "messaging" icon really like an instant messenger? It's not GTalk, that's another icon. If I send a 250 character txt message through the "messaging" app, does it get broken into 2 messages for the receiver?

However when I receive an incoming call or message the picture is not on there. When I receive a call it doesn't even show up on my caller id it just shows the number. I have updated the prl and profile from another issue that I'm still having trouble with. The longer I have this phone the more problems I'm having.

Sep 29, 2010I have just received an update with the latest firmware for the Mini Pro. My RoadSync still does not sync my Outlook contacts to the phone. Mail and Calendar works just fine but when I try to reach my contacts I am just presented with the blue menu, asking me to add users manually or to sync with Google etc. There are no more settings to set in the RoadSync application more than to checkmark the contacts - then they should "automatically" show up in the Android contact list, which does not happen. This is really a very big issue, making the phone almost unusable.

Jan 16, 2010I seem to be having a sync issue with my Droid.When I add a contact to my phone, it doesn't sync into "My contacts" in Gmail; it'll sync into "All contacts". So, a couple of questions:
1) How can I get the phone to add new contacts created on my Droid into "My contacts" in Gmail?
2) I'm trying to understand the point of "All contacts". Why does Gmail want to keep a list of anyone that I've ever sent an email to? Otherwise, it'll be simple enough to just merge the two groups and call it a day.(Note: When I bought my Droid I did NOT have the VZW sales person transfer my contacts or any data from my old Blackberry to my Droid. I used Google Sync on my BB and synced my contacts from my BB to Gmail, then when I got the Droid, it automatically pulled my contacts from Gmail.)(FWIW, yes, I did a search and found two great threads: http://androidforums.com/support-troubleshooting/15042-how-do-i-push-droid-contacts-back-gmails-my-contacts.html and http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/15069-contacts-dont-really-synchronize.html but I have a different situation than most of those guys and I'd actually prefer to sift through and merge a couple of contacts from "All contacts" to "My contacts" every once in a while than deal with a backup and factory reset.)
