How do I get Gmail pictures to show up in contacts list? I only have one contact with their picture showing up, and 25-30 that are not. Do I have to set the contact up differently for the picture to sync with Gmail?

I have my Contacts updated with Facebook profile pictures, but when i check on the GMail website, no contact has the Facebook photo. I want to synchronize the pictures from Facebook to the contacts I have on my GMail account.

I don't know where pictures/videos on my phone are saved- are these saved to the phone or sd card? What is the best way of backing pics/videos? I tried just putting in my own images into my gmail contacts to see if they would show up in the google voice app and they still dont show up. My ideal situation would be to use the facebook pictures, but if I need to I will go the second route of putting individual images into my gmail contacts and sync them that way, but I can't get either to work
I go into my GMail account and add pictures, using the tool on the site. I check my phone, and some show up. Others don't. I wait a while... still no go. I go into the settings and force a sync. Still no love.
So, some pictures show up on the phone, and others do not. Should I wait a few hours or something? Is there some pictures that will work in GMail, but the phone rejects? I'm not all broken up over this, but it sure is inconvenient.
Is there anyway to attach more than one pic at a time to an email in gmail?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Google Contacts I've entered birthdays and subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Google Calendar.They show up as intended in Google Calendar but in my phones calendar they're all listed twice. Unsubscribing from the contacts birthdays calendar makes both disappear, so they're not from some other calendar.Is this a bug in the Galaxy S calendar? Any solutions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave new Droid X, getting settled in and doing all the setup tasks. Migrating from Palm Treo. Exported all contacts by category(group) as CSV. Imported into Gmail, all was well. I then set up my ICE contacts and notes. Now my contacts are gone from the main contacts button on the home screen. I still have access to the contacts from inside the dialer,email and messaging apps, but when I press the contacts icon on the lower right of the home screen, I get

No recent status updates. If I touch the 'Contacts: Google' button, I can choose between 'all contacts, Favorites, Google, Phone contacts', but all are blank.
I looked through the forums but didn't see any answer to this issue; I have a DINC and when I logged in to Facebook the first time and linked the photos they all showed up; but now when people update their picture, it doesn't update on my Incredible. I tried logging out and back in then 'resyncing' it again to no avail. Any resolution to this problem? I see that some Evo and Hero users are having the same problem.

View 7 Replies View RelatedApologies if this has been covered in some other thread - but I couldn't find one.Just got my HTC Droid Incredible. I have my Apple Address Book set to sync with Google. I have my Droid also syncing with Google.
Issue 1) Pictures I set on my Apple contacts did not sync to Google and therefore not to my Droid either.
Issue 2) I manually loaded pictures onto my Droid then edited the contacts to use those pictures. After a bit of time (maybe one hour), the contact pictures reverted back to what Facebook has for those contacts. Is there some way to turn that syncing with Facebook off?
Issue 3) even if I wanted to use the Facebook pictures, they appear very fuzzy and cropped badly on the Droid. To the point where they are not recognizable.
This is just a little pet peev wondering if someone has an answer. How do i update the pics that are pulled down from facebook into contacts and the favorites widget. My friends have changed photos and they don't seem to change on the phone.

I feel silly asking this but can't figure it out. I use my gmail account specifically to get messages from a google groups boating forum. I have a work account w outlook and I use k-9 on my phone for that. I know that google doesn't have folders, but labels. I created a label 'xyz' for all email coming from that google group. My question is, how do I not have all these items show in my inbox?
In outlook, I can set up a rule that all email coming from abc@xyz.com goes into the xyz folder, and doesn't clutter my inbox. How do I do this in gmail. I have all my email messages showing that they belong to xyz label, so my rule is working, but I want them not showing in my inbox.
I'm currently trying to back up my contacts for when (if) we ever get root. And for some reason, even after I sync and all that fun stuff, the phone contacts don't update when I go to my GMail account. How in the world do I get them to update there?

So, on my laptop, logged into Gmail (and the new WAY BETTER contacts section), I deleted about 900 contacts from the list. However, they seem to still be on my Dinc where I don't want to see them. I know there is the option to "link" information on your contacts but I have a huge number that have not linked and it would be a paint to manually go through all of them and do this on a contact by contact basis.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI do not know how but for some reason the phone numbers in my contacts (People) list are now displayed in US format instead of UK i.e. 123-456-78910 instead of 12345678910. When sending an SMS and i load up the contacts list BOTH the US and UK formats are displayed. I have tried deleting all my contacts and reimporting them from a back up on the SD card but no change. I have also tried to change the view settings of the list in case its my google contacts showing but it shows 0 contacts for google but 149 for the phone, i only have half that. I have used HTC Sync Google sync recently, could these be the problem? If so how do i fix it?

Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.
I tried to unsync Contacts in both of these apps, but the contacts didn't go away. Is there some way to delete all of these?
Just got my 1st smart phone last week (Desire) and to be honest i am still not sure what to think of it. One of the problems that i have been having is that when i start a text message and go to put the contact in all of my contacts are duplicated, even though this is not the case when i open up the People folder. Is there any way that i can get this to return to normal? Each of the duplicated contacts in the messages widget has a blank face next to it and the other has a picture of what looks like a sim card.
