So I use google voice (goolge voice number and google voicemail) and I have been for several months. No problems, then all of the sudden a voicemail notification from my regular voicemail (voice cassette tape) shows up in my notification bar. I can't get into my regular verizon voicemail and I can't clear the notification.

Will the casssetes they sell with the 3.5 mm adpater at the end work on the droid? The one I got i got it with my iphone, but since then it hasnt worked on any phone. I should I just try a new one? I dont have an aux in on my stereo.

Is there a way to know if the notifiication screen is actually being shown, so I can adjust how often I wouldn't be so concerned if not for the fact that the HTC Incredible will reboot after it receives several hundred or so updates. Based on a controlled experiment with a beta tester, the service could continue for 24 hours if it did not update progress, but dies after several hundred updates. So I am desperate to reduce the notifications, if that's what works, and one of the ways I could do that is by not updating as much or at all if that screen isn't being shown.

When I start the tether, I don't receive any errors (although I haven't checked the log), but when I look for the Droids access point, it's not shown on the list. Using the "messaging" icon on the Droid it never says when I'm approaching the text message limit. So is this "messaging" icon really like an instant messenger? It's not GTalk, that's another icon. I've factory reset my phone 3 times today for data problems and push email issues. Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

Imported into Gmail, all was well. I then set up my ICE contacts and notes. Now my contacts are gone from the main contacts button on the home screen. I still have access to the contacts from inside the dialer,email and messaging apps, but when I press the contacts icon on the lower right of the home screen, I get

No recent status updates. If I touch the 'Contacts: Google' button, I can choose between 'all contacts, Favorites, Google, Phone contacts', but all are blank.
I've been giving the iphone 4 some thought, but one of my biggest apps that gets used most on my blackberry is google voice. I use it mostly for texts, iphone doesn't support this app and the workarounds don't really notify you. Is there a native google voice app on the android os that has some notification when you get a google voice sms?

She likes things simple, and this started to get annoying. The only way I can get GV to notify me of new SMS is to open the app and wait a few seconds.I haven't changed any settings, wondering if anyone can help here.
