Aug 15, 2010Is their any program to back up your apps and then when you need to restore them, auto installs them? Ive used Mybackup pro and Titanium back up and both require you to manually click install for each application.

Nov 8, 2010I am about to embark on the ROOTING journey for my new Droid-X, and wanted to know if there was a way to backup the phone so that I could get it back EXACTLY to where it is before the rooting. If not, is there a way to get it 100% back to factory default settings? I haven't really customized it yet, so if I break it during rooting or BRICK it, I know there are UNBRICKING steps posted already, but I want to make sure I don't end up with a FUBAR phone during this process, or afterwards.

I guess what I'm asking is if there's a way to "clone" your Droid, not just the SD card.

Feb 20, 2010I've been running Pete's beast, which I installed using the update.zip. I'm considering doing a fresh install via nandroid, but I have one concern: will I lose my apps that I paid for, and all the data? Is there anyway to back them up?

Aug 26, 2010So couple months ago I installed a application backup program that basically tracked what I installed. I had a log in for it. Well just rooted and knew I had everything backed up. Only problem is I forgot the name of the program! It was not My back up, or anything I had to pay for.

What program can I use the will backup the entire phone? (Note: I have my htc Incredible programmed to work on Alltel, so I want it to backup the programming too). I am good with computers, but just need a push in the right direction so if I mess up I can get my programming back and programs I bought. Without have to reset it up and re download.

Sep 30, 2010I have the root app Titanium Backup. When I root my friends' phones, I like giving them all my root apps with a quick transfer of my SD card app backups from AppControl.
BUT, I have never been able to find the backup file for Titanium Backup. I realize they can just download it from the Market, but where I work I get no service so I can't download it for hours for them.
Does AppControl or even Titanium Backup itself actually back up Titanium Backup? It seems almost like they skip over the APK because I can never find any backed up APK files that have the words "Titanium" or "Backup" in it. I've never been able to find the file!
Motorola Droid :: Data Backup - Not An App Backup
Feb 23, 2010I DLed Titanium Backup, but it wasn't obtaining root access. I read here that I probably need to update to a newer version of BB. After a bit of a fight, I finally managed to get BB 0.4 onto my Droid. I figured I was safe b/c I have Lookout, which also backs up data. Yeah, it backs up contacts and pix, that's it. So here I am w/ a nice, shiny new rom, and a completely wiped phone.
Now, I know my old info is still there. I know I could just recover into my last version. But then I wouldn't be on this rom. Is there any way for me to get that info on here, or do I have to do everything manual? Or could I restore the old version, and not need to do a wipe when flashing the new rom?
Man, no matter what I good I start to feel about myself w/ what I've already learned from you guys, I'm quickly reminded that I'm barely scratching the surface.

Sep 30, 2010On my Droid 1 and Fascinate, I am able to program in my Voice Dial password and long press 1 on the dialer keypad to call voicemail and have my password entered automatically.I can still enter my password in the X's Menu, Settings, Call Settings, Voicemail Settings, Voicemail Number. However, the dialer that comes up when I press the shortcut icon I have setup in my LP dock brings up the Blur dialer? Whatever it is, the voicemail password does not get entered automatically and I have to still manually enter my password.Does anyone know how to get the VM password to enter automatically, or to disable the Blur dialer and get the stock Android dialer back?

Jun 30, 2010So I loaded the new release of froyo petes v.04 and earlier when trying to use the built in wired tether option it defaults to a web-page about upgrading to a tethering plan. It says that they are offering it for $5 off until july 15th. Wireless tether still works fine but just wanted to know if anybody else got this message when using the built in program on the new froyo release. I was able to use this option in the earlier versions of froyo without the message. Update, so I completely missed this already reported on phandroid so I guess I was just getting the message others have already reported.

Dec 8, 2009I tried Home++ yesterday and didn't like it too much although I may just have to try it again. I didn't care for that "power strip" in Home++ either (can you turn it off?). I wished it would import all the icons from my regular home screen into Home++ so I don't have to re-create everything. Does anyone else out there have a better home screen replacement program? I saw people talking about GDE but I couldn't find the actual application in the Market Place. I also looked at the Panda Home but from the screen shots, it looked weird. I like the plain-jane version that came with my phone. I don't want fancy skins or colors or bells and whistles.
