I Am New To This Site, And I Really Came On A Search For The Cricket APN Settings For The Droid 1. So...If Anyone Could Be Kind Enough To Open Their APN Settings And Post Exactly How They Look?

So my droid is flashed to cricket, and the oh so anticipated full flash has arrived, ( ) after bringing my droid home several months back, i did a bunch of research, and came to understand that there's two ways to run your phone.
I paid a pretty penny for my droid and wasn't exactly anxious to do anything to the fancy digits inside the phone,..... so my question is, since my phone is flashed, does this mean my phone is already rooted? im a little nervous about doing the whole full flash, since this is a new file they use,(I will be taking it to an "expert") but i've seen so many ads that say "we wont brake your phone like the other guys",....kinda scary statement if you ask me.
So what does this whole flashing thing do to a phone? I dont have any of those rooted things you people talk about, dont know anything about any of that, but im scared its possible these people will somehow ruin my phone.....
I have a DROID that has been flashed to cricket. I woke up this morning and the phone was working just fine. I went to turn on music and noticed all of my music was gone. I started my anti virus to see if maybe something there was causing an issue, and during the scan my music showed up. My phone started running really slow and some pop-ups started showing up stating that "whatever the name was" application has not responded with three options "Force close, wait, and report" When I got frustrated enough to pull the battery, I started getting a boot loop. In the past I get the loop anytime I pull the battery, but if I let it run for 3 or 4 boots, the phone works just fine and I go on with my life. This morning I was not able to get back to "just fine" And the phone has been in an infinite loop all day. I have had it charging, I have tried disconnecting the battery and all the options the forums online have stated.
I can boot into recovery, and about every 6-10 boots the main screen will come up after the eye. I get the main screen with my lock code, the time, notification that I have a voicemail, and "no service" with 0 bars. I get that for about 3-10 seconds, and the phone reboots starting yet again at the white droid symbol screen. While in recovery mode I have been able to navigate around the recovery screens. When I try to do a recovery though, I get "Error: nandroid exited with status 20" if I try to do a backup I get the same error just with status "36" I have no idea where do go from here. I have read that if I flash the SPRecovery it will fix the boot loop, but the biggest thing I am worried about here is loosing my Cricket flash. I do not know how all of this stuff works, so if I am calling the Cricket "flash" wrong, please by all means correct me. If I can flash the SPRecovery while keeping my provider's "flash," or whatever you want to call it, are there instructions on how to do this flash of the SPRecovery? I have recently gotten my entry code in fast enough to get the background to show up. I have a loader app loaded and it showed all the icons at the bottom of the screen, but after a few seconds the phone went back into a boot loop. It showed the correct background, but it didn't show any of the applications loaded. I have let the phone reboot twice since starting this response, and got the same result. The second time I got my code in, I was able to see apps on the background, but a few short seconds later, the phone freezes and shuts off again. I see that I am making progress, but it has been hours so I am hoping there will be a quick answer to help me here.
Just want to know if I would be able to flash custom ROMs on my Droid? It's fully flashed to cricket, running FW 2.0 with SPRecovery. I have a full backup on the phone right now, but I'm wondering if I'm able to flash custom roms on this phone without messing up the proxy workaround settings.

I searched around the forum & found Pkopaleks thread on how to finish the full flash to get working apps. The store I got my phone flashed at said it was impossible to get working apps because the apps are verizons (lies) & now I'm disappointed their not working. My question is that do all stores that flash phones root phones before the flash? If so will going to recovery mode and loading pkopaleks cricket file ruin what has already been done? Lastly if the store didn't have to root to flash how will I fix this problem?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen running with my Droid now for 3 weeks and I'm finally going to start playing with running wifi at work (my cube and only my cube I have 3g issues ) and I connected to it a couple days ago. Our network admin in his infinite wisdom created a pass key that is like 46 characters long. So I entered it, and was connected. Fast forward to today, I enabled wifi again and tried connecting to the network and it asked me for the pass key again. Does it now save that? Is it supposed to? I would assume that would be a pretty big PITA that every time I want to connect to wireless network that I've connected to before it re-asks me my password.

It is definitely still on my phone as it is still in use and the market says "installed".
Can someone tell me what the 'MIN' value is on the Droid X under the Menu -> Settings -> About -> Status? It appears to be a phone number but it isn't mine.
This is just under the 'My Phone Number' field (which does have the correct phone number) and just above the MEID.
Is there any way to make the settings menu icons display in color like on the incredible? Seems a shame to have a HD display but all the options are in black and white.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI probably nuked my Droid doing something, either messing with it rooted or cold/snow/moisture got to it. I'd be in the middle of a call and the other person wouldn't hear me. This would happen randomly. I went to Verizon and they simply shipped me a new phone.
Now that I have it, i thought all my apps would be on the SD card. Nope. I can only get back Apps that are the Market has marked as needing update. all my other apps are gone. How can I move them along with my custom setting like GDE etc?
Tonight i was playing around with the "power settings" widget that allows you to control the wifi, gps, brightness, sync, bluetooth settings. i was hitting all the buttons and didnt realize that it changed settings inside my phone. now i want to go back to the default power settings for each on the widget and cant remember what they were. I already found and turned on the "automatic brightness" feature. but what about the "auto sync" option? was that on or off by default? and others...

View 36 Replies View RelatedLast night I clicked a YouTube link sent by a friend through email. I got a notification window asking me if I wanted to open it in the browser or in the you tube App, along with a check box to always remember my answer. I picked one and hit the check box. Under the box it said if I wanted to change my settings to go to Home > Settings > Applications> Manage Applications to change the behavior.
However that specific menu item only contains apps I have downloaded. The YouTube app isn't there, and I had been coming up blank searching for where I can change the setting I chose last night.
When you go to Home > Settings > Applications> Manage Applications, by default its filter is set to just the apps you have downloaded, to see all apps on your droid, hit the menu button, and select filter, from here choose All to get to the app whose setting you want to change.
The Sampling Rate, Threshold, etc. What do they mean and what are some optimal settings? I have mine untouched from whatever was stock with the app. Just curious if these settings were worth messing with unless you were advanced user, much like the settings themselves.
