I have searched all night and can't find anything that will direct me to an internet connection with cricket. I have the phone unlocked with a good prl. I can make voice calls. I have been into epst so many times I am about to puke. Nothing seems to work. Please help.

Any reason Cricket internet doesn't work on Froyo builds? I have flashed all of them, and after flashing the 'cricket internet V9' it won't connect. If I flash back to a 2.1 ROM, it works. What gives? It's really annoying because I want to run KaosV27, but can't without 3g.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have learned so much reading on this forum. And have had so many questions answered. Thanks to all. I have a Eris on Cricket Wireless and it works very good. Alot of ppl complain that they have problems with apps and the phone it self and yes I have had my own BUT it is by far the best phone that I have owned and way better then any phone that cricket offers period. I was wanting to know if anybody else has the Eris on a different carrier.
View 49 Replies View Relatedfor whatever reason today we lost our internet connection at work. Now I work for an airline doing charters and today we added a second flight to each shift. So I tethered my phone for the 3g and just plugged it in at the end of the day to charge it. Needless to say it handeled 300 passengers/customers easy. Changes, bag fees, checking in and selling for a solid 8hrs today! I don't think I'll ever get another cell phone ever. Maybe a bigger SD, but phone, probably not.

I searched around the forum & found Pkopaleks thread on how to finish the full flash to get working apps. The store I got my phone flashed at said it was impossible to get working apps because the apps are verizons (lies) & now I'm disappointed their not working. My question is that do all stores that flash phones root phones before the flash? If so will going to recovery mode and loading pkopaleks cricket file ruin what has already been done? Lastly if the store didn't have to root to flash how will I fix this problem?

The problem is that I will have, say, my laptop, or any device for that matter, connected to my Droid and I am able to maintain a steady internet connection for about a minute. After that, the tethering application reports a download speed of 0.0kbps. If I disconnect my laptop (or other device) and reconnect it, it'll start to work again, but only for about another minute. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

It usually corrects itself when I reboot but then happens again after some time. This happens when using both the dolphin and skyfire browsers. Ive also not been able to use my Sprint hotspot for the past two days. My laptop and iPhone show as being connected to the EVO via wifi but are unable to access the internet through it. Anyone else having these problems?

I have a non-rooted Desire (Swiss Sunrise) and I updated to 2.2. I'm going on a week's holiday soon and I wanted to see if my Irish sim would work in my phone because the data roaming rates with Sunrise are extortionate (13.90 Swiss francs per megabyte!). Lo and behold, I put the card in and it works no problem! I rang my wife's phone just to check.
There was an alert that came up, asking me to select my home network and I chose o2.ie and I think this may be where things went wrong. Now I can't connect to the mobile internet network even though I have selected Sunrise in settings->wireless/network->mobile network->access point names. However this code runs well when I connected to either the operator internet Or to a Wi-fi network. But when I'm connected to the operator but without credit and no internet the mobile also sees it as there's internet,or even connected to a Wi-fi network but without internet gateway it also sees as if it's connected to the internet.
What is the simplest way to check whether my app can access the internet? I am using some APIs that use the internet, but they crash if there is no connectivity. So I just want to check if there is internet access by any means.

I have tried both WEP and WPA-2 security types (only two available) and I cannot see the wifi.
