I have 2.2 and am using the standard email app that came with my Droid. It's on my work email account which has it's own server, not a gmail/hotmail etc.

Aug 5, 2010When at the home screen and then moving two screens to the right I get to what looks to be some type of image player in the middle and it has the Media Share, Blockbuster, Camcorder, and Gallery at the bottom.
While playing around with the camera I just took some random photos of junk and have since deleted them. But now in the middle of the screen I still see what seems to be the last image I took. Yet the file isn't actually on the phone or card. The round button in the middle (with the square around the 'play' icon) is selected but red (when I touch it it turns green and used to scroll through the photos before I deleted them).
How do I get this ugly blurry test image out of this screen and back to the way it was before?

These transferred videos are playing fine on device. However, when I check the video properties, it is has "Bitrate" as 0 KBPS. Whereas for the same video, the bitrate is displayed properly on PC.

Aug 2, 2010First off, I read these forums like every day for 2 months (nearly drove my wife insane!) leading up to the release of the X. Stood in line and bought one in the store on the 15th. Had nothing but iPhones until now - loving my DroidX!
BUT
As of right now my battery is down to 60% after having been unplugged (when I unplugged I was at 100%) for 1hr 46m 9s!
It shows display at 93% and cell standby at 7%.
I'm running smart battery mode, auto screen brightness, not that many widgets, and I rooted it and have autokiller running on Aggressive.
Do I just have a bad battery? And if so will Verizon (or Moto) give me a new one?

Apr 20, 2010I rooted my 2.1 ESE81 Droid using SP Recovery method but decided to stop at installing busybox. Well, I found out that DroidExplorer requires it so I went ahead and started the process of installing it, but for the life of me, I cannot get adb to recognize my droid again. It worked fine when I initially used it to obtain root, but now that it's rooted, whenever I try any adb commands I get "error: device not found". I have the Motorola 4.2 Consumer Drivers installed, I have the Droid set to enable USB debugging, just as I did when I got the phone rooted. In fact, it was just after I rebooted the phone after installing su and Superuser.apk that the error started happening. I can run su and get the # prompt from the terminal emulator on the phone and everything, I just can't get adb to connect to the dang phone. I've been reading on other forums that some people found that the device ID's in the android_winusb.inf file under the AndroidSDK/tools folder are not the same after the phone is rooted, but I don't know about that. This is really baffling. I'm thinking of copying the busybox binary to the SD Card and just copying it using the terminal emulator on the phone and just running the rest of the commands there instead of trying to do it through adb. But, I'll want adb working no matter what.

May 22, 2010When I start the camera up, it shows nothing but black (no, the lens isn't covered in any way/shape/form). If I hit the track ball as usual it acts as though it's taking a picture though it's also nothing but black. What am I missing here? BTW, I'm on 2.1 and did a factory reset two days ago.

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

Dec 17, 2009I think this has been posted before but I haven't found an answer yet. I'm using the one-day calender widget. When I have an all day event, it shows the wrong date. For instance, I have a all day event on the 18th; today is the 16th and it's showing the event as being tomorrow.
Anyone else have this problem and find a fix yet?
