It seems as if my phone doesnt saying 3G it just shows bars doesnt even show 1X. Im wondering if there is a setting im missing or do i need to reset/update something.

I would get a Green Led Notification for GMAIL . And then when i would i check it , it doesn't show on my status bar . And when i close the phone, like lock it .. the Led keeps blinking green ? It stayed like this for almost two days .. and then just then I signed up for this forum it sent me and email to my phone .. surprisingly .. my Led blinks , the phone vibrates and GMAIL shows on the status bar ..What can I do to prevent the GMAIL &continuously Led blinking .. to happen again ? What's wrong with my DROID ?

So I thought logically I can place my dialog show at the beginning before processing begins, and cancel it at the end. My device HTC desire doesnt show SMS sender name upon recieving sms(local sms), instead showing the sender number.I am having this sender in my contact list. There is no issues while recieving international SMS, only having problem with local sms. But when the same person calls me, its displaying the caller name correctly.
What would be the reason?
I am in QATAR where country code is +974.
I tried the following.Contacts saved with the country code(+974)
- then its showing the name when sms is recieved, but call recieving
stopped showing caller name - only number is shown.
One thing i noticed is, while recieving SMS, the sender number is preceeded by country code(+974) while recieving a call only caller number is there.
Its working when u click it but doest show that i downloaded it. no way to unistall.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have BB 0.4 with blue energy theme and chevy 1.1 lv kernel. Along with Launcher Pro. Normally the notification LED will blink when i get a text while doing normal stuff or nothing at all. But when i am gaming the LED doesnt blink. Has any one have a problem with this? Also, when i open a message from the notification bar instead of the message box in the dock. The dock still displays the number of messages unread even after reading it.

View 19 Replies View RelatedSo as of a few weeks ago, my droid does something kind of strange and annoying. Usually happens every couple days or so..
Basically it seems like its lost service all together.. it doesnt recieve any texts, and everytime i try to send one it says "cannot send." Once i see it do this a few times i turn it off, then back on and my phone is flooded w/ texts that i hadn't recieved since it started doing the whole thing.
Its almost as if my phone loses service for an hour+ then when i turn it off/on again it gets its service back and recieves all the texts ive missed... this is starting to get really old..
My signal at work is about -100 dBm on average, funny thing is the bars go from 0 to 4, they just randomly bounce around every 10 seconds or so.
anyone have a solution to the bars moving? I thought the X was supposed to have better signal than the Dinc i just took back, but it looks like it doesnt, it just tries to say it does with the higher bars.
The incredible was getting between 97-103 dBm just like the Droid X.
Is there a Froyo ROM out there that doesnt have a 10 minute boot time?
OK it is not exactly 10 minutes but my boot times seem to have grown from 2.01 to 2.1 to rooted 2.1 and rooted Froyo. Plain Vanilla Froyo 1ghz
I just got two droids today. One is working perfectly. The other I activated but after about an hour it stopped working and doesnt get a signal. I tried to reactivate by calling *228 but it doest ever complete. I did a factory reset and still nothing.

At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
I've got a Droid X that I'm trying to connect to my PC, which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I plugged the USB cable into the computer, then into the phone, and nothing happened. The phone does not show up in "My Computer."
I've tried several different USB ports, with the same result.
I loaded the Motorola Drivers (found here), rebooted, reconnected the phone, and still nothing.
I've tried opening Media Share, selected "Computer", "Copy", "USB"...and then on the step when I'm supposed to "Enable Memory Card Management," I press the button, select "PC Mode", "OK", "Next", and then I'm told that "Memory Card Management mode must be turned on to continue." (The same thing happens when I select "Windows Media Sync" or "USB Mass Storage".)
Am I missing something, here? Is there a setting that I need to enable on my phone in order to make it visible to Windows?
I have a HTC Hero on o2 (an unlocked G2 Touch to be specific) which is set up to connect to my work email using the on-board mail app (the non-gmail one). As I have folders for my emails, I use IMAP both within Outlook 2003 at work and on the Hero. This all worked swimmingly for about 2 months and then recently I have noticed that I have been getting a lot fewer emails both on the Hero and within Outlook. I have also seen emails which I received during the day in Outlook disappearing after about an hour or so. I have spoken to my email provider and they tested it by sending me an email (genius) which strangely is still present in outlook, although it didn't appear on my hero. So in summary, it seems that I have two problems - my hero doesnt seem to download any emails, and my IMAP account is losing emails. I should probably add that my hero is configured to show all emails (irrespective of age or size). I have also checked my webmail and the emails are missing from there.

Now heres a new problem that I notice! The vibrate for the incoming phone doesnt work It worked last time a install the exact same thing. but now it's like total silence when i put my phone on vibrate.
My browser doesnt seem to be working anymore. I am using the stock browser and it worked fine up until a week ago. I use it primarily for a forum such as this and it freezes up all the time. I've tried clearing the cache and cookies and nothing seems to help. Not sure if I should go with another browser but I downloaded the dolphin one and that did the same thing. Anyone have a clue? Im not pc smart so please talk "dumb" to me if you have any clues!

And my second question, my phone doesnt connect to my computer right. I plugged it in, it said it didnt have the right software or something, so i went and downloaded the the Vista 64 bit thing thats stickied on here. I plug it in, and the "you have the wrong software" thing was gone, but nothing else happpened. The screen says its connected and it vibrates and i hear the noise thru the computer, so what am i doing wrong. I read somewhere that you pull down the little bar at the top and hit dock or something like that. I cant do that. If i can pull it down theres no buttons to hit. Can someone walk me thru this process? FIXED
I lost my phone and it doesnt have an unlock pin so theres nothing stopping access to my phones data....
Its an HTC Magic and syncs to my google calendar. I've reset my messenger password so im guessing altho they get into my ebuddy app automatically, the messenger password on the phone will be out of sync and wrong? I've chosen "log out of everywhere" from Windows Live. I've rest my Evernote password. I dont have any apps that can help me find phone or send an erase message to the phone.
So all thats left I guess is my Google calendar. I suppose its not a train smash having my Calendar data on the phone, but I'd like to erase it. If I go to Google Calendar and delete all the appointments will that delete the appointments if my lost phone syncs, and i think ive set it to sync every time the calendar app is run? Also, with contacts, i seem to remember those not syncing very often, only when i went into settings and contacts on the htc, so im not sure of how to get rid of all the contacts on my phone even if I delete them all from my Google Account.
I flashed my Eris GUIDE: From stock 1.5 to the latest root 2.1 and now my track ball doesn't scroll left.
View 17 Replies View RelatedOkay so i created a folder on my sd card called ringers, worked great for allowing me to use my mp3 files that i croped for my ringtones, however when the phone rings it doesnt ring at the desired volume from the begining, it vibrates only for 1 pulse then the volume slowly comes in from min to the desired level it is as if it is set to escalating. I have searched through all the settings but if there is a way to turn this off i have missed it. I know the mp3 file doesnt escalate because i use the same file on my moment and it rings at full volume from the beginning.

I still have bars (like two) but I can't get anything to work. Every once in a while there will be a pulse in signal bars and I'll update date and time. Anyone know what's going on?

While the phone stops ringing it continue to vibrate although the documentation of RINGER_MODE_SILENT says it should also stop vibrating.
I'm using the SDK 1.6
UPDATE:
As I didn't find a solution yet, I tried to deactivate the vibration settings manually.
am.setVibrateSetting(AudioManager.VIBRATE_TYPE_RINGER, AudioManager.VIBRATE_SETTING_OFF );
But this also doesn't prevent the phone form vibrating when a call is incoming.
UPDATE 2:
Today I tried to solve the problem by canceling the vibration via a Vibration object.
Vibrator vib = (Vibrator) getSystemService(Context.VIBRATOR_SERVICE);
vib.cancel();
Again, without success. Now I'm running out of ideas and asking myself if it is possible to stop the vibration at all.
UPDATE 3:
I've discovered another interesting fact when I've reread the documentation of the Vibrator class. The documentation says:
"If your process exits, any vibration
you started with will stop."
For those with LP+ there was a new update today. It has a new LP widgit. Its a calendar that is very close to the HTC Sense one.I for one missed the Sense Calender and am happy as can be with this update.Not sure what else was updated since the LP site doesnt have the change log up yet but thats one thing i did notice. LP ver 0.7.2.0 is the update ID.
