Nov 6, 2009Anyone know how? I've synced me gmail account which is also my google voice account...but don't see the settings anywhere to setup GV.

Jan 4, 2010I have 2 gmail accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is for my calendar and contacts and the other is for my personal e-mail. As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

May 2, 2010I had this same problem on my eris with the v2 leak, I now have the v3 leak and the same thing still happens. I install voice, fire it up and start the setup, I get to the page where it asks me to allow or deny access, I click allow, and it force closes. Does this every time. Same thing happens if I select deny. If I try to exit, sense force closes and has to restart.

Mar 11, 2014I have two gmail accounts, each with their own Google Voice account. Account 1 is my primary account, and I have even ported my phone number to this account. I'm using this account on my phone (nexus 5), and have 0 issues with this account. All texts, voicemails, etc come through with no issues. Account 2 is largely not used. I would like to use account 2 on my nexus 7, for texts, and maybe making calls if I don't want to give out my real number to someone.
My issue is when I'm logged in to account 2 on my nexus 7, I'm getting text notifications for account 1 on my nexus 7. But if I were to open Google Voice on the nexus 7, once GV refreshes, the texts disappear. It doesn't happen the other way around. If I get a text/vm to account 2, it does not notify my phone, which is logged in to account 1.
I've checked the settings in both GV accounts, and neither account is linked to the other, or to send copies of texts/vm notifications to the other. How do I stop notifications from GV account 1 to stop displaying on account 2? I have cleared cache, data, uninstalled the app. The only thing i have not done, is a reset of the nexus 7.
I was initially logged in to account 1 on my nexus 7, but I would have thought removing the app from the device would have essentially erased all traces of the account 1 on the nexus 7. I even signed out of hangouts, to make sure Google was not treating this like my phone, and sending it both places.

I really would not like to have to take the detour of forwarding my school email to my gmail account.

Nov 14, 2009I ordered a droid and should be here Tuesday. Quick question. I am coming from a BB Storm where my Road Runner (internet provider) email account worked flawlessly on the Storm. Back in the day when i had a Treo there was big work around you had to use in order to get email accounts like this to work on it.Is this the case with a Droid as well, or is it as simple as the BB storm where i just enter in my email and password in setup and it is done? The sales rep on the phone told me i would be able to get my RR emails on the droid but we all know how sales reps can be.

However, no Picasa albums in Photos section. Went to Account setup, clicked on Google account, no Picasa there either. On my wife's Droid (OS v2.1 also) Picasa is listed under Google account options. However I want to be able to access my companies email I have set up through powweb.com (they host my website). Anyway I keep getting error messages that it could not finish set up or sometimes it says Error: check user and password details. I triple checked and made sure I was putting in the right info and then I even went on the powweb website and made sure I was putting in the correct settings and even contacted someone there and they gave me some info to try and help and I am still getting error messages. I have tried POP and IMAP. The exchange account, is a fee based account.

Well, after 2 calls to customers care I am still getting the same error. I have full internet access, data capability and even setup my gmail account as the email to use. I can send and receive email/sms/mms, calls, etc... Anyone else have something for me to try before returning the phone to Sprint? (it was purchased at BB).

Apr 30, 2010I just got my phone yesterday, and the verizon rep insisted he needed to setup a new google account on the phone. I didn't feel like arguing since I already have one so I let him do it. Once I got home, I setup my account and sync'd all of my email and contacts, but I cannot delete the original account he setup off the phone. I also cannot sync my calendar through my account. The phone is only wanting to sync the calendar with the account he set up. Can someone offer advice on how to delete the account he setup? BTW, I have gone in and tried to delete the account, but the phone tells me applications need this account and in order to delete it, I will have to reset the phone to all defaults and all information will be lost.

Jan 23, 2010I changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

Jan 28, 2014I want to setup a second phone number using Google Voice. Some time ago I created a new number online and set it up on my previous cell. Now 2 years later I got a new cell and want to setup Google Voice, however the application behaves differently now and tries to integrate with my real phone number, and that is not my intention. During the install it verified my real phone number and tried to use it.
My question: how to set it up to use a number I created online long time ago? I clicked every option but could not find a way to repoint Voice to my second number.

Jun 13, 2010Why am I posting a GV question in the EVO forum? Because I don't know if this 'problem' is a GV thing or an EVO+Sense thing. So here goes. My GV account is set up with call filtering. That is where, when you answer the phone, an automated voice tells you who is calling and asks if you want to send to voicemail or answer, etc. It does this for every call. The annoying part is.

Nov 10, 2009For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.

Aug 19, 2010Having serious issues setting up Google Apps corporate email on my DX. POP and SMTP settings, email add, password all checked and rechecked for accuracy. Still no dice. Am being told by Google Apps support that I need to hard reset the device, setup corporate Google Apps email first, and then reinstall and re-setup everything else. This seems like a hail mary approach to me, and one that I'm still not sure is going to work.
