I'm running Cyanogenmod 6. I just noticed that I can't find Google voice or Google maps in the market. I do have the apps installed, but can't see them int he market to get updates. I tried out LFY1.7 and Ultimate Droid 1.0.0, and see the same issue.

I updated the firmware on my HTC Hero some time ago from Modaco to Firmware 1.5.I just got an N1, so I restored the Hero to give to my wife, and the next thing I noticed is there was no Google Maps. I went in to the Market and again...I couldn't even pull it in a search even though I pulled it in searches on my N1.
Does anyone know what's up here? Do I need to upgrade my firmware? If so, does anyone have a link to the install?
I have google map 4.4 on my HTC Evo 4g but i cant find it in the android market searching for maps, google maps, maps google, etc. i realize i have the new version and it shouldnt matter but i dont understand why it wont come up in a search. i have other apps that i have installed that still show up in search.

Maps works fine, but when I open the app a pop up shows "unable to load the url", its pretty annoying. How can I get rid of this....clearing the cache and defaults did nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't used my google voice number for much more than calling but recently I have used it for texting and cannot figure out how to send pictures.The only way I have seen to add them is through the email that the text generates but it won't allow me to choose a picture it says choose one but none are available and the "pick" button does not work.any suggestions?.BTW running the newest bugless beast and also had the problem on the newest smoked glass ROM.

I downloaded Google voice app and everytime I try to place a call it tells me I am unable to make the call. I did set my new number as the phone being used. Any suggestions? What happens is I will dial a number and press send, then something will pop up asking me if I want to make the call with GV or without GV. I choose WITH GV and it will start out okay, but after 5 seconds it goes back to the normal call screen and calls regularly with out GV. Is there anyone who can help me out with this? The fact is that I would like my route to be explained in some vocal way (better for driving, isn't it?).I already have Speaking Pad from `IDEAL Group, Inc.' installed. This application lets me type some text and let the HTC Desire litteraly `say' (pronounce) it. Thus, I already have the good vocal libraries, and I do not understand why I do not have the speaking ability in my Google Maps.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way of changing the voice on these, the synthesised voice is AWFUL. Apart from not being able to pronounce English words correctly (E.g. Kew <queue> said as koo - I can't imagine what is must be like if I had to drive down Gloucester or Leicester) it's soooooo grating and harsh on my lugs.I've tried both English and American English settings but both are as bad as each other.Is there a download for new voices or one in the pipeline?I'm shocked this passed Google's quality control!

If I use Gps Status app, it shows a compass and shows how fast I'm moving in what ever direction, but for some reason google maps can't seem to lock on. I've tried hard and soft resets, turning triangulation on off, GPS on off.

This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)
