Nov 15, 2009I already misplaced my manual, because apparently I am a very careless person - could anybody direct me to where I can set the phone so it does not default me to mobile websites (touch.facebook.com or m.cnn.com) but always takes me to the URL I actually request?

Mar 6, 2010You are all likely going to laugh at this, and I admit, you have every right too. For the first time today I am trying to enable the wifi on my droid when I am at home and have been unable to get it to work.
I turned it on, connected it to my home Wifi, used the correct password, and it says it is connected, and has been assigned an IP addressed. However, it isn't connecting to any websites or anything else in any of the browsers.
I have tried both the native and dolphin.

Nov 7, 2009I hate being forced by some websites to view their functionally challenged "mobile" version. The standard versions look amazing on the Droid! I assume the sites are reading the useragent string from the browser and forcing the redirect. Any way to change what the useragent is reporting? I've searched quite a bit and haven't found a resolution.

Mar 4, 2010Instead, they are replaced by a generic green "Droid" icon. These are apps that are newly downloaded, and some that I've had for a long time. It's only a few of them, and it isn't a random thing- They stay that way, and the others still show up. I don't know if this is a Sweeter Home II issue, or a Sholes 2.0.1 ROM issue, or something that's up with these particular apps. In SWII, I do have the icons resized to about 75% of their original size. But even in the "Manage Applications" list, where they are all stock sized icons, they behave the same way. I've unloaded & reloaded apps to no avail.

Jul 21, 2010I use the Handcent SMS and the LED color (blue) and it worked perfectly fine. I set the color to a custom color now and when I get a text, the LED for SMS doesn't show up. I also have the custom color off now too. I also have Missed Call. I used it to set a color for the SMS LED, but it still does not work.

I loaded in a new LWP from the market and checked battery usage and display was off the chart % wise compared to my normal use. And that was with some pretty decent phone activity. Oct 29, 2010Im streaming my radio show of choice (lex & terry app)...about 10 min goes by and it stops. I go to the phone which is hooked up to my radio and a wall charger and the 3g symbol has no activity and the program that streams my show says connection lost. Any reason why it is shutting off. I never had this problem with the eris. Just got my droid yesterday.

My question is seeing that the music app scans the whole SD card, will I end up playing my ringtones with the rest of the music I play?

Aug 26, 2010On my DROID X with 2.1, I was successful at transferring my Contacts after uploading a csv file to GMAIL made from my old phone (Samsung Omnia). What I have ended up with on my Droid X is only being able to see the contacts in "All Contacts" and none of them show up in "Phone Contacts". Also, even in "All Contacts" , all it gives is the name of the person, and no other attached information like phone number, address, etc. When I go to check the contacts online on the PC on GMAIL, when I click on an individual contact, all the missing information on the DROID is there and perfectly intact. Losing my mind over this and hoping and praying I will not have to pull up "Edit" on all 210 entries and enter the numbers and adresses by hand.

So I go into Messaging and I'd like to type in the "to" field a contacts name, like facebook does it and it starts to list matches and then you just pick the one you want. Like it searches your contacts, but I can't figure out how to do this. Like I can only type in a number but I don't have anyones number memorized that's the point of having a saved phone book so am I missing something here?

Sep 10, 2010so I'm using launcher pro which shows me that theres 43 emails in my inbox but when I open the gmail app, there are NO new emails.
I have the unread gmail app and when I open that one it says "no connection"
finally after 3 hours of not receiving emails as I'm typing this I get a new email alert, then they all start piling in.
Why is this.
We shouldn't have to use the "unread gmail" app in the first place but I have had to ever since I got my D1 and it's the same on the D2.
Motorola Droid X : Way To Show On Notification Bar - When Get A New Email
Oct 15, 2010When you get a new email, is there a way to show on the notification bar that you have a "New Email" WITHOUT showing a preview of it? The reason I ask is because I use App Protector to make my email private but it still shows a brief preview when a new email arrives. I still want to be notified when there is a new email and have the blinking notification light. I thought about asking here before emailing the developer for that particular app.

Feb 3, 2010My contacts are not showing up after I manually input them on the phone. For instance I just added a friend charlene. Ill scroll trhough the contacts folder to C and she doesnt show. Ill do a contact search and she still doesnt show. If i manually put in the number it will call her, give me her facebook info, first and last, gmail all of it shows up but only when I manually call. I called and then added her to favorite contacts but that is the only way I can get her to show up.
