I have a bunch of custom ringtones, some mad in Ringdroid, some that I have had...all MP3. The ones I had are in a Ringtones folder on the SD card, those by Ringdroid..well I haven't checked yet.
My question is seeing that the music app scans the whole SD card, will I end up playing my ringtones with the rest of the music I play?

In my music player I can set which folders it looks in for music. But since I added music to my phone all the songs shows up as ringtones which makes it very hard to pick one since I have a large SD card with a lot of music on it. Any way to only see ringtones when I want to set notification for programs?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Handcent SMS and when I try to change the notification ringtone, the only one's that show up are the defualt/sock ones. All of the one's on my SD card don't show up. At all. Under any of the notification setting panels (Handcent's and the main one). They do show up under ringtones though.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo My ringtones had previously worked decided to make a few more. threw them in the right folders....go into the settings and they are not there. i did what someone recommended and delete the whole folder (media) and re add them to the SD Card. Now none of them are showing up. yet i can play them from AStro.

Some of the albums I put on the sd card just don't show up in the player, the odd thing also is that I put a picture of the album art in the folder too that shows up in the picture gallery. But, for those certain albums that dont show up, neither do the album art in the gallery.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Milestone and after the first contact with him, copied some musics to a folder on SD card. The problem is: some songs does not appear on the player. Some musics do, some musics does not. I tried several players (Meridian, RockOn, TuneWiki) to see if this was an issue with the default player, but all of them showed the same problemI also thought that this could be a problem with the ID tags of the MP3 files that didn't show, so i checked every one with a MP3 tag editor and fixed some, but to no avail: the files still doesn't show on the list.Just one more detail: if I go to a file manager and "execute" the MP3 file, the music plays just correctly.Dows anyone has experienced some behavior like this, or I'm doing something wrong?Is there a way to add all files on a folder to a playlist without going one by one on a file manager?

I know that there is a workaround for this but I am able to connect Eris through usb and then tap on mount SD card and then drag and drop music files from my pc to my Eris. The problem is that the Eris music app does not show any of the album art. The art is in the files so I don't know why it won't show. I created a folder called music and in that folder is a folder for each artist which contains folders for each album. The art is in each album folder. I tried Mixzing media player for a while and some of the album art appeared but maybe only 25%. I like the stock app if it would just show the album art.

At first, I was able to set ringtones for when people call me but I tried to do something on my memory card so that I could get ringtones as my text message alert so I put everything under "notifications" "alarms". Then I realized there was no ringtones anymore. Okay so now the only way I can set a ringtone is through the music player thing. I've reformatted my whole memory card thinking that would help but it didnt.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the music app that came pre-installed, I keep using the trim song feature to create a ringtone, I hit apply, it confirms it's set, but then doesn't set the new ringtone -- I still have the default ringtone. I searched around for the trimmed version of the songs, and they're nowhere to be found either. I've tried it multiple times. I can only seem to set the entire song as a ringtone. Any idea what gives? Or where on the internal storage or SD card it supposedly saves these trimmed versions so I can find them myself?

I've used the sync feature in Windows Media Player to load music, and when I go into the Music Player on the phone, they are all there, but show unknown artist, unknown albulm, whats the deal? I deleted them and re-loaded, same issue. I deleted again and did drag and drop and they dont show in the medai player at all.

But if i turn off my phone or if i take out my sd card, the ringtones disappear. They are not even avail to assign to a ringtone in the sounds and notifications settings. View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems like the Music Player saves the ringtone to internal memory while Ringdroid saves it to sd card.I created several thru Ringdroid and set for contact ringtones and they only worked occasionally.Most times I would get default ringtone.I removed them from sd card and created a few with Music Player and I dont see them on sd card but they do show up in the ringtones list.Hopefully they now work better being internal.Does anyone know how I could delete a ringtone from internal memory?

I've tried putting them in /media/audio/ringtones as well as the .nomedia text file solution, but unless I am doing something wrong, or it just works differently with this phone, the files still appear in the Music Player app.
