View 3 Replies View RelatedI just switched from i Phone 4 to Droid X. Very exciting, since not only I have to learn how to use it but also I need to optimize the phone as well. (So much to do, I was bored with i Phone 4 ) So far battery life is not that great, drops 10 % every hour or 2 without heavy duty. (is this normal?) But yeah my question is every time I unlock the screen,(so when the screen wakes up) the notification light blinks with blue/red color. Is that normal? I checked Motorola, it wasn't on the manual.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAnyone else notice that the green indicator light is blinking in a different spot? Don't think it's a big deal, maybe it's from the update. I really only noticed it b/c there's a cutout for the light on my Zagg skin and this new light placement is not in the cutout.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anybody found a way to make the trackball blink for various other notifications other than SMS and eMail? I use google talk all the time and I would love to have the trackball light blink slowly (just like the normal alert for a waiting SMS message) when I receive a google talk message that I haven't read. Or how about gMail? They light up the notification led blinking green but there is no trackball notification. I'm actually quite surprised there doesn't seem to be any setting I can find to make the trackball blink for various notifications. My phone's already rooted so that should expand my options but I haven't found anybody that's done this yet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed that my notification light only blinks for almost exactly 5mins.
At first I thought it didn't always work because I would come to my phone, not see the light, take it off standby and see I have a message or email. Then I noticed it was working but just went off very quickly.
I've heard that task managers/killers can affect the alerts and I am running Astro but using it as a file manager and not a task killer (as I've discovered they're 99% unnecessary). I am also using Handcent for my SMS/MMS messages.
Is this normal for you guys? No matter what type of message I get, I only get 5mins worth of blinking.
Has anyone else noticed the little blinking green light? Seems to only be on for NEW gmail. None of my other accounts set it off. Anyone have any info on this for ERIS phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy old phone would turn on, or come out of sleep mode when I received a text message, or any type of alert. Is there a way to make the Droid do that? I leave the phone sitting on my desk and I miss messages all the time because the phone doesn't kick on and I have the volume turned all the way down or off. But if the phone would light up, I would notice that.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs their any way without downloading and app to Change the LED light color for different people calling and TXTing? Also, is their a way to change the color of the bubbles in the Text messaging area.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using handcent for my sms. i think it is great, i can customize it heaps how i want it. however there is an option for changing the colour/rate of the LED blink light for when i get a text, however no matter what i pick it never changes. the little light at the top always blinks every 4-5 seconds in a green colour when i have a new message, however i would love for it to blink blue every second (as i have tried to set it) so that i can differentiate the notifications from reminders and other notifications. is this a problem with the phone not doing wat it is supposed to, or the application isnt working? or a combination, maybe the desire doesnt have any other colours for its LED light?

View 1 Replies View Related1) Is it possible to use another battery from another htc device? Any other device have a stronger battery you can use? 2) when the green light is on, it means it is fully charged right? however when i go to the desktop app it shows you the percentage of charge, it is only ever in the 90's% when the green light comes on. something wrong with my battery? it still carries on charging but the green light comes on so early.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was wondering how I could turn off the blinking green light on my phone every time I get a text. If I don't clear my notifications of the new text(s) right away, the blinking light kills my battery. I do want to keep the notification on my drop down bar, I just want the blinking light to stop. Is there anyway to do this? I know I can take off the blinking light and drop down bar notification, but I don't want both gone, only the blinking light.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder if it is ok to leave the phone charging after the green light appeared. I usually leave it charging for a night. May it make my battery life shorter?
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy boyfriend and i have identical droids...on the text messaging screen, where it shows the names of the people you have sent texts to, there is a green dot or a red clock beside the person's name on his but not on mine...it seems to be some sort of tracking because when i my phone is in use his phone shows a green dot beside my name, and when my phone is idle his phone shows a red clock beside my name...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a ListView in my app that has a background image. All of the rows are a semi transparent white (#35FFFFFF). Whenever I scroll the list, the rows turn a light green that obscures the background image until I stop scrolling (usually--sort of unpredictable). Sometimes it flickers between the background image/color and the green. And yes, I have set the cache color hint to #00000000. Any advice about this would be appreciated.
ListView xml:
<ListView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

android:padding="7px"

In cyanogenmod settings under input settings there is an option for always pulse. Unfortunately for us this option is grayed out because it refers to the trackball. It does also work for the led light on our phones though. I much prefer my LED to blink when I have a notification even when the screen is on because if I am doing something that takes up the entire screen I otherwise may not notice the notification. Bugs me that this option is grayed out in CM6 so I decided to find a way around it.
So what I did is pulled the cmparts.apk from CM6 RC2 for the Nexus One. You can download it here.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7223192/CMParts.apk
Just make sure you put it on your computer in the directory that you will be running adb from.
Then reboot into recovery and mount /system
Then go on your computer and ADB.
Then adb push cmparts.apk /system/app
Then reboot. You will now have the option in cyanogenmod settings to always pulse. You will also have the option to Trackball Wake and Trackball unlock although these options will not do anything.
I had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
I turned my DX off last night and noticed that every once in a while a blue LED flash. It was not on the charger.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm occasionally getting an alert from the app Blink that tells me i'm running low on memory. What exactly does this mean? Are too many apps running, or is too much simply installed?
How do I go about reviewing the memory being used, and then how to free some up? What amount or % of memory should be free?
I gave my wife my D2, did a factory reset on it beforehand. She's been playing on it now for almost a week with no problem until today..
It started off with her gallery, when you try to go into the gallery it will kick you right back out into the launcher. I can use astro to get to her pics but any pics she takes now won't work. So then she went into her messaging app, all it does is cycle, it won't load up any messages at all.. I really don't know what's wrong with it, trying to avoid a factory reset if I can, but I will if it's my only option.
I have BB 0.4 with blue energy theme and chevy 1.1 lv kernel. Along with Launcher Pro. Normally the notification LED will blink when i get a text while doing normal stuff or nothing at all. But when i am gaming the LED doesnt blink. Has any one have a problem with this? Also, when i open a message from the notification bar instead of the message box in the dock. The dock still displays the number of messages unread even after reading it.
