I wonder if it is ok to leave the phone charging after the green light appeared. I usually leave it charging for a night. May it make my battery life shorter?

Ok, sSand it wont do anything but light up green. Even if I go through and push call contact still nothing. Not even with the green button.? I did get a force close of android phone (I think that is what it said)
View 12 Replies View RelatedOn the HTC HERO handsend there is a setting for LED. I picked a different color to blink when I get a message but the green default light still blinks. If u look on the ear piece of the phone it looks like there is another light on the right of it. Do anyone know anything about changing the settings for this?

I was wondering how I could turn off the blinking green light on my phone every time I get a text. If I don't clear my notifications of the new text(s) right away, the blinking light kills my battery. I do want to keep the notification on my drop down bar, I just want the blinking light to stop. Is there anyway to do this? I know I can take off the blinking light and drop down bar notification, but I don't want both gone, only the blinking light.

I have the charger which plugs into the wall but has a USB port in the back so you can pull it out and easily connect to a PC. Have I screwed up something by constantly swapping it from a PC and plugging it into the wall?
I'm paranoid because I've got the bottom end of the charger stuck into my phone, I then stick it into my USB port - Should I be disconnecting it from my phone before connecting it to power so the phone doesn't screw up somehow?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a ListView in my app that has a background image. All of the rows are a semi transparent white (#35FFFFFF). Whenever I scroll the list, the rows turn a light green that obscures the background image until I stop scrolling (usually--sort of unpredictable). Sometimes it flickers between the background image/color and the green. And yes, I have set the cache color hint to #00000000. Any advice about this would be appreciated.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
New to Android... Like some aspects but I find some simple things are tough to solve.
When I hit the "Phone" button on the bottom of the sense screen, it pulls up a contact list that is all 558 contacts plus any number that dialed in or out. I have my "People" button set with just the 150 people I love the most (I eliminated Facebook people from "People")
Is there anyway to change the "Phone" list so that it pops up the "People" list instead of the huge combined list of history and all contacts?
I am a Droid user at the moment, but am considering moving to the EVO next month, and I have a question regarding the LED's on the phone. My wife has to have complete darkness in the room at night and even a charging light bothers her she says (wtf, I just close my eyes and I cant see it, but whatever).
Anyway, on the Droid there is a program called LEDs hack that allows us to turn off all the notification and soft-button LED's when charging, so I am wondering if anything similar is available for the EVO yet. Also, can the charging light itself be disabled? It could not on the droid, but the home dock covered that one completely, so no big deal.
Only way to get rid of it is to re-boot. I guess this probably something wrong with my USB port?

I hadn't been able to charge my EVO for a little while, and just a little while ago it finally gave up the ghost. I booted back up to recovery after it shut down, where it told me I needed to change the battery.
Well, that's great! Except, it wouldn't let me shut the phone off! It sat there for a few minutes, not responding to my trying to turn the phone off, until, it seems, it completely ran out of power. I have the seidio 3500mah battery, and the cover is a royal pain to remove (usually requiring a butter knife to pry the sucker out of it's death grip!).
Now when I got back to my desk at work, I plugged it in to USB, and the charging light is just blinking amber at me, and it won't turn on yet. Does this sound like it's not charging, or just needs to charge itself up a bit before it will let me turn it back on?
Isn't there supposed to be one? it charges without any LED on. Another odd thing is when I'm in meebo I get a purple LED when I get a message.
I charged it from 60% to full and there was no LED on at all. Is there something in the settings that's causing this? I have silent mode on (but it surely can't be that right?) this is kind of weird.
