Lot of people posted nice wallpapers in another thread. When you try to set them it forces you to choose an area.
Is there any way to allow it to accept the full size of the wallpaper?

Tried to search for this one but the search terms I used didn't seem to find worthwhile results. I'm creating an application to run on a device with a 800x480 resolution (the archos 5) so I've created an AVD in the emulator with that resolution. However, when I run my program in the emulator it simply shows the program with the default android size, centered in the 800x480 window. It is not stretched to cover the whole screen. How can I fix this? I'm using Android 2.1.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am so sick of the little crop window you stretch to only see a portion of your photo and it's being reviewed at full screen size. I saw someone post that you grab the upper left and bottom right corners to stretch the window, but it did not work for me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy current mobile phone is an LG/Sprint Optimus S, whose camera has 3.2 mpx resolution. My previous (and first) smart phone was an HTC Pure which runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and is perhaps better known as the Topaz, Pure being its AT&T edition. The camera on that phone does 5.0 mpx, so it's obviously much better. Even on just the small device screens, you can see the quality difference at a glance.
For a particular objective, I need to be able to take good pictures on the go, but have the Internet connection provided by my current Android device. In other words, I want to take pictures with the HTC, beam them to my Optimus, and then use that to send out the pictures. I was having a bit of trouble getting the devices to work well together in their native states, so I flashed a version of Froyo onto the old HTC. Having done that, I found that the Bluetooth connection between the devices worked quite well. But when I try to use one of the Android camera apps to take pictures on the HTC, it's not taking full advantage of the lens' capability. The photos show up on the screen about the size of a large postage stamp; in fact not much bigger than a thumbnail picture.
Do Android camera apps not work at any better resolution than 3.2?
How i can get package size info - code, cache and data size? I tried to use PackageStats, but it always returns 0. Right now i can get apk size and dex file size, but how i can get DATA size?

When i choose the picture to set as my wallpaper, it asks me to crop the picture which is all ok.... But then once the wallpaper is set, it's spread across all 7 pages. Basically, i want the exact same, "full" picture on all 7 screens. Is there a way to set it?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI bought some cool skins on ebay which 3 came for $10 which you can find stupid easy with a search but they come with matching wallpapers but when I put them on they go on as images and of course we don't get the full image you have to zoom/crop it and you dont get the whole image. Photobucket might resize this so I hope it works but this image I want as a full size. Is there a certain folder to put it in to get it to full size?

EVERY single VIDEO the Google+ (Google Photos, whatever its called) app auto-uploads the resolution is changed to either 640x480 or 480x480.
I just got a PRS t1 book reader and then discovered it was a hackable Android device URL...I like to be outdoors in the summertime, and the daylight readable screen is great. Which got me to thinking it would be great to use it for work, edit documents etc..Is this at all feasible:
1) Run VNC client on my PRS t1 (is it up to it?)
2) Run VNC server on my android phone, pair the _phone_ with a full size Bluetooth keyboard.
2) Connect the Phone > PRS T1 via WiFi
3) Use full-size keyboard to enter text in the sunshine..
When i am setting up the wallpaper i am unable to get the full wallpaper even though i have taken 200*320 size is there any solution for this

View 2 Replies View RelatedI guess this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a proper answer/solution. Have a note-taking app, which allows to take pictures. For that I start an intent, that starts up the built-in camera-app. So far so good. But when I show that image in my app, it's in a much smaller format The funny/weird thing is, that the camera-app did take a full-resolution picture! But for some reason I can't get the full version to show in my app? So, when I use the standard Android Gallery app, and go to that picture, it is very obvious that it's full size (I can zoom in and see details I really can't see when I zoom in, in my own app). Also, the dimensions are really those of the original picture, taken with the 5MP camera. In my app, they are very small. My phone has Android 2.2, but the same happens on my emulator (Android 2.1). How should I retrieve the pictures in my app? Tried a couple of ways, but none works :( Don't need a complete example (allthough that's very welcome), just a few clues are enough to search for myself.

since the Nexus One has more screens then other Androids... does it require a bigger size picture for the wallpaper? or it automatically fits whatever size picture you transfer into your SD card?

Can't get wallpaper to size correctly since running the Android 2.1 update on the Sprint Hero.
The HTC wallpaper shows correctly but the resolution of wallpaper set from my photos seems to be about 800x600. The onscreen size remains the same regardless of the original photos size, I've tried everything from 340x480 down to thumbnail and it stays the same.
Also when I try to load a photo as wallpaper I get a horizontal crop box even though the screen is obviously vertical.
Can anyone confirm what the wallpaper size is? I have a few but they are too big and I just want to re-size them.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI read that 960x854 should be the right resolution. I did with Gimp an image with that size, copied it to the sd card and set it as wallpaper. What a wonderful surprise when the android tried to crop it. So, I guess, 960x854 is not the right resolution. any insight?
