I know what the resolution is for the Droid x which is 480x854..but what is the wallpaper resolution? On the Droid Incredible and I believe even the original Droid the wallpaper size was different than the resolution of the screen.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI read that 960x854 should be the right resolution. I did with Gimp an image with that size, copied it to the sd card and set it as wallpaper. What a wonderful surprise when the android tried to crop it. So, I guess, 960x854 is not the right resolution. any insight?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the authentic "Droid" Red Eye wallpaper you see on all the pictures of the droid?

I had the motorola Devour before this phone, and it did the same thing and I never did figure out what size my pictures needed to be in order to look right on the homescreen. Is there an app out there that will make wallpaper from your pictures? View 3 Replies View RelatedI have my wallpaper fixed so it doesn't move when I move from screen to screen. Since I'm using a fixed wallpaper why does it still want me to crop an image? I have an image on my phone that fits the screen perfectly but when I go to set it as a wallpaper it wants to crop it and cut the image pretty much in half which is really dumb. Anyway around this?

However I have noticed an issue. after enough switches the wallpaper updates, but the lockscreen background reverts to the droid X default.
Only rebooting the phone seems to help.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running BB v.08 OCed to 1100 mhz and i'm using the neutral network LWP that was made specifically for the droid. Whenever I use my facebook widget or handcent quick reply, as i'm typing with the virual portrait mode keyboard once I reach a certain amount of characters my screen flashes and one of the default wallpapers that comes with the droid replaces my LWP. Why is it doing this? Once i finish the message I can go back and change the wallpaper, but it's really annoying how it changes by itself

Today I took a call from the missus and when it ended and went back to the homescreen, the wallpaper had changed to that horrible yellow one. I've had this happen a couple of times now, once when exiting Messaging, and today, exiting the Phone.
Is there somewhere I can send a bug report to google for this? Anyone else had this happen? Is there a quick simple fix?
I want make a photo, thats the size of the default screen, my wallpaper. But the trick is I want it to stay in place when scrolling left or right to the other screens, not 'slide' like they normally do.
Is this possible?
