Anyone with a Droid that was able to get Droid Commander to place calls. I have been able to get it to take pictures and sound aln alarm but that is it. I am trying to use it for a call forwarding switch.

I'm going to be in Japan for 10 days. I read that they put in a 3G network so I called Verizon and our phone do work there! Here's the catch, it's 1.99 per min! They have a Global Data Package that 64.99 unlimited data, so I'm putting that on for the 10 days I'm there. I just got my Dinc last week and I'm a total noob when it comes to it. Is there an app or way to use wifi to place calls cheaper? I've tried searching these forums but I can't find anything.

Best "point and shoot" I have ever owned (not trying to compare it to a "real" camera). Is there a gallery here to post pictures? View 8 Replies View RelatedHave all my outgoing numbers to call with GV - and often (80%) - it will fail to call on the first try and it will ask to retry with GV or use the regular phone - then it connects within a second when I retry. Anyone else have issues? Seems the GV app is not ready quite yet for many other reasons too.
