I had someone forward me via MMS a chicken dance/song thingy. Anyway, I went through a process to save it. It saved it on my SD Card. How in the world do you get to the SD Card to get info you saved on it? And how do you make the SD Card your default place to save pictures and other stuff?

Is there any way to save to the SD card, such as pictures taken with camera, or does everything go to the internal storage and then have to be manually transferred to the SD card?

View 9 Replies View Relatedthe Camera on my Eris will not take pictures due to an error saying it has insufficient file permissions to save pictures to my SD card. I have not unmounted my SD card since this has happened nor did I do it before. I have unmounted it before, but it was never a problem. The camera will not save pictures at all not matter what app is using the camera (Default Android Camera, Facebook, Photoshop Mobile).

Best "point and shoot" I have ever owned (not trying to compare it to a "real" camera). Is there a gallery here to post pictures? Or should we start a thread with links to Flickr or Picasa, et al, with Droid-taken pics?

I recently upgraded my MicroSD card from the given 8GB to a 32GB. For some reason I cannot take and/or save pictures. Every time I open the camera application the following message comes up: "Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions." What should I do?

I mean come on! We can't save pictures, can't batch delete, hell we can't even click most links! Maybe I'm venting a little, but It's kind of embarassing when your a company's web apps work better than their natively installed apps that come pre-installed on a phone whose OS you developed!

Before I rooted my phone I was having the issue that, despite checking the "Use by default for this action" box, my phone just plain refused to save what homescreen app to go to when I tap the "Home" button.I've tried clearing the cache. I've done factory resets and data wipes (although I did restore "all apps with data" with Titanium Backup). I've tried using the Home Switcher app. Nothing works.Right now my phone is running the current version of BB, ChevyNo1's 1.0Ghz 5 slot update.zip for OC, and am using AdamZ's Smoked glass theme. I want to use the "HelixLauncher" app as my default homescreen, but it's rather obnoxious having to constantly select it when I hit the home button (it'll save my default action for a few clicks, and then I'll have to set it again).

My internal memory has almost been used up though, and I think this has something to do with my text messages. I was wondering if there is a way to directly save them to my micro SD card, instead of the internal memory? One of my friends, who also had a Hero, had too many text messages and her message app wouldn't open and kept crashing. I don't really want this to happen to my phone.
