there is an option in the settings for "unknown sources" it says "allow install of non-market applications" so where do i find these and do you recomend it? i want to find the good ol' boob jiggle app i lost back in the day with my ipod.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy family has got three android phones, an HTC Hero, a Samsung Galaxy, and a T-Mobile Pulse, all are running android 1.5 with the latest manufacturer firmware. On the T-Mobile Pulse, when searching for a couple of apps (ones that I have installed on the other two devices), I get returned 'no matches'. For example, if I search for 'BrightAI', which is a developer who has around 8 apps on the market, I get no matches. If I search for individual apps, I get 'no matches'. Searching for the same on either the Hero or Galaxy returns the expected results. Does anyone have any ideas why certain apps are accessible on one device, but not the other?

When I try to launch market place with id of an application say com.mybrowser.android by throwing an intent android.intent.action.VIEW with url: market://details?id=com.mybrowser.android, the market place application does launches but crashes after launch.
Note: the application com.mybrowser.android doesn't exists in the market-place.
MyApplication is my application.

However, when I try to launch the market place for a package that exists in the market place say com.opera.mini.android, everything works. Log for this case:

My husband's Droid was factory-reset by Verizon yesterday, and he lost all of his apps and also forgot his Google login for Marketplace. We set up a new account, but then realized that he can't get his apps back. I figured out his original login, but cannot figure out how to log him out so we can log him back in using his original account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using a nice widget called "Timeriffic". You can set up different notification profiles. 6:30 - 10:30pm I get all notifications. After 10:30pm I only get phone calls. Are you aware of a application that does this for email, wireless and other services as well? Was thinking it would be nice to set up a profile that stopped email polling at specific times to save battery life. I usually put the phone into airplane mode...but would like something automatic.
View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I noticed that the Social Networking app was not updating. I couldn't find any setting to sync it manually, so I figured maybe a factory reset would do the trick. So....after I did the reset, I noticed that none of my apps were downloading. They all said "downloading" but nothing was happening. So I ended up just restoring from a nandroid backup I did before the reset. Im glad to say that the Social Networking is updating now, but apps are still not downloading . I went to settings/applications/market and cleared the data and rebooted. Still nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy installed apps aren't showing up in the downloads section of the market. Yet if I search for them in the market it says they are installed and I am able to update them. I read that installing a new app somehow refreshes the list so I tried that but didn't help. Tried the market doctor in TiBu that didn't work either. So then clicked restore all apps and after that didn't work I went as far as to wipe my phone and reflash my rom and restored my apps again with TiBu, still nothing.

Also, Beautiful Widgets and the southpark photohunter (something a friend tried to download for a reason unknown) are in a constant state of downloading. When I try to cancel the downloads, market simply offers the "Sorry! the application market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." pop up.Along with those problems, I tend to get a security update change notification at least 2 or 3 times for the email application (not the google one) every time I restart my phone.After searching forums the first day I encountered these problems (when I got the bb update) I decided to just ignore the problems until people had time on their own with their new setup.

The N1 looks to be an awesome device and they are going to get to have the kind of fun we've all been having with a spanking fast shiny new Android phone.More than that I'm really excited to see this tsunami of sweet Android devices to hit the market.It doesn't take much imagination to realize how much the Market is going to grow with quality apps.
That said, I'm still very happy with my Droid AND a little bit jealous of the N1 already, all at the same time. I may even buy it at some point in the coming months, but most of all, this is exciting news for the platform we all know rocks
I have uploaded my paid app "Legion" and I can see that I am making sales but why is this app not visible on my phone? I can see other paid and free apps. The android platform of my Samsung Galaxy phone is 1.5 and here is part of my manifest.
