They are a company that has apps to place their software on smartphones to make them into rangefinders. They have an app for the original Moto Droid. If it works on that one would it work on the X?

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I want to upgrade my Droid from the older 2.0.1 build of Pete's Bugless Beast ROM (1.2) to the newer ESE53 based 0.8 version. What I want to know is how to keep all of my data and apps and stuff when I make the upgrade, because according to his instructions you have to use his nandroid backup to go from the older 1.2 BB to the new 0.8 BB. I tried following his instructions once before, and while I was able to successfully upgrade to the newer ROM, I lost all of my apps and data and ended up just restoring from one of my own nandroid backups back to 1.2.

Best "point and shoot" I have ever owned (not trying to compare it to a "real" camera). Is there a gallery here to post pictures? Or should we start a thread with links to Flickr or Picasa, et al, with Droid-taken pics?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make/edit my first custom rom. As base i am using the Oxygen rom. This rom has all his apps stored in system/app. I inserted an launcher(hololauncher), keyboard(custom htcime) and gallery(quickpick) apk in this folder, but after the rom is flashed these apps are causing fc's and the gallery app isnt even flashed.
I know that not every apk can be placed in the system/app folder, but how can i ensure that these apps will install correctly during flashing.
My husband's Droid was factory-reset by Verizon yesterday, and he lost all of his apps and also forgot his Google login for Marketplace. We set up a new account, but then realized that he can't get his apps back. I figured out his original login, but cannot figure out how to log him out so we can log him back in using his original account.

Rumor is that re-installing the APK file will fix it, but there is none to be had on the web. Anyone have the APK file for dolphin? It needs to be 1.2.99 (or later) because the package name was changed in that version.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy family has got three android phones, an HTC Hero, a Samsung Galaxy, and a T-Mobile Pulse, all are running android 1.5 with the latest manufacturer firmware. On the T-Mobile Pulse, when searching for a couple of apps (ones that I have installed on the other two devices), I get returned 'no matches'. For example, if I search for 'BrightAI', which is a developer who has around 8 apps on the market, I get no matches. If I search for individual apps, I get 'no matches'. Searching for the same on either the Hero or Galaxy returns the expected results. Does anyone have any ideas why certain apps are accessible on one device, but not the other?

I though by moving it onto a panel of lets say music and media only that it would move away from it's original location. I prefer to see it on only one panel. Any ideas?
