I can't seem to avoid pressing the volume/camera buttons as I'm taking the Droid out of my pants or jacket pockets. Has anyone found a way to disable this behavior?

I find now that the music player exits when I press either the "Home" or "Menu" buttons at the bottom of the phone if I want to run another application while listening to a song/podcast. Again, this is really annoying. I can't start up a podcast, then text/email someone. The music player exits.

I've both tried TouchUtils.clickView() and Robotium (third party's utility for this task). But buttons don't get pressed. With Robotium, whose sources are simpler to understand, I can track my code until it properly generates ACTION_DOWN and ACTION_UP events. At the same time, I've tried a Robotium sample together with a small sample application, and it works perfectly. So, Robotium works and my Android SDK is ok.it must be something specific of my application. What should I check?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I ordered now LG G2 32GB (950USD in Israel, I know its expensive but well... thats what it is and I wanted a device with large screen, powerfull multi tasking and something that I wont have to replace in 1 year but at least in 2 years, super power little computer for all my internet, emails, mult tasking, office things...), I could choose Z Ultra, S4, Optimus G Pro but took G2 as most people online voted for this one and I heard them plus I liked the way this device looks from all photos I watched and I liked it's longer life per each charge versus others (from reviews i was reading).
Now something I feel bothered with, I see on youtube that this soft menu buttons stays even in games, pretty much anywhere.Removing the on-screen menu buttons possibly also not the brightest idea, how I will navigate then? Any tweak would allow me to use Android in same way I use Iphone, by turn the "power" button that short click works as "home button" and remove the soft on screen menu.

I was simply wondering if there was any way to make the default camera or even. Any camera app use the volume control buttons to take the photo? My phone HTC Evo with Fresh 3.0.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen you press the 'google search button' on your Hero it takes you to the Browser.. I then turn it in landscape mode to get a bigger keyboard. As soon as I press any of the keyboard buttons the keyboard bounces up and down..thus you can't type properly..

I have installed Tasker and I'm new to using it. My favorite music player is Playerpro, but what I was wondering is what would i need to put in variables or actions, if I wanted to use the volume buttons to press skip or back while the screen is off and i'm using the app.I would use Gravity Box to do so but Cyanogen or any of its tweaks and mods are not compatible with the SM-G730v.

I never really paid attention to it, the sliding open never really bothered me, until I realized that basically my phone was sliding open, coming on, then closing, then opening again. Does anyone use a case that keeps it from opening?

For some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.
View 25 Replies View Relatedwhen i had my Evo, i would go to take a picture and the LED's would stay on the whole time while i took the pic and looked great.on the DX, the flash only comes on right when you actually take the picture. i find the pics arent as good on the DX, not necessarily because of the way the LED's act. but in general.is there any way to get the LED's to act like they do on the Evo? i think it may help the camera focus better at night

View 11 Replies View RelatedI attempted earlier this week to manually install the update, it wouldn't go for me. I got the notification this AM about the update, selected to reboot and got the error screen. After reboot when I go to check for system updates it tells me I'm up to date with 2.0.1. I may back up my texts, though I don't have any critical info there, and do a factory reset then try the manual update process again. Factory reset shouldn't wipe the SD card, right?

Taking up more system memory then sense UI. Is there any way to stop them so they don't just start back up again, I'm using launcher pro but the Moto home keeps running in the background and it comes back even after force closes through task managers.

I would rarely want to go to the dialer as I have all of my contacts saved. Its annoying when having a missed call and I press the phone button and then I go to the dialer instead of the call log.

One of the people who posted a comment in it claims that by long pressing on their volume rockers, will skip tracks. Does anyone here know if this is true? Apparently it only works with 2.1 and if this is the case, which I can't do cause I am running BB v1 but i am confused cause its in 2.1 even though I rooted under 2.0.1. Can anyone confirm this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes it will be 3 hours between when my email arrives in outlook on my pc and when the droid decides to pick it up (even though i press the refesh button for the email on the droid). when it does come in, it records the time the email should have come in. however, sometimes emails will come in within 1-2 minutes of when they hit my outlook box on my pc. my settings are set to recevie new email every 5 minutes.

A backlight used to turn on for the bottom hard press keys on my dx but ever since I downloaded and installed the live wallpaper panoplied, they don't turn on anymore. I don't know how or even why a live wallpaper would turn off backlight settings for the keys but its becoming a major inconvenience. I checked the settings but couldn't find where to tweak backlight settings. I also rebooted the phone and did a soft reset but that didn't work. Can anyone out there help a brother out?

Flash Mode says auto under it, but the box is grayed out and I cannot select it to change it.
This is the same for the auto focus feature, I am unable to select that as well.
