I'm coming to the Droid from a BB Curve and was wondering if there was a pocket holster/pouch similar to the OEM one. I'm not much for belt carry and I need a slim pouch to fit on my pocket.

Anyone find a decent holster/pouch for their droid? Most of the ones out there seem to use magnets, which I've read is a bad idea.I want one that at least somewhat protects the corners so that I can take the hard shell (Body Glove) off (although I think I'm going to get one of the invisible shields for it).
View 25 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a Droid pouch case that goes on your belt in the horizontal position. I bought the one from Verizon and it is lined with plastic. I want one that fits nice and is lined with leather. I use the home and car dock frequently therefore I think a holster is the best style of case for me. If anyone has found a generic one that fits the Droid well let me know?

1: Did not want to have to slide the droid out of a pocket
2: Access to camera
3: Access to rocker and usb
4: ID/Credit card slots
5: Money Slot
I also have the features via apps via Mobile Defense and Find My Droid,I will never lose my wallet again. I like the clip on the back, but one that rotates would be nice, as well as one that would allow me to have my headphones plugged in while in the case
View 22 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC holster that I used for the last year. The Droid JUST fits into it. However, I kept having the Droid come on in my holster and it was driving me batty how it would unlock on it's own. Then it hit me. The holster clips shut MAGNETICALLY.The Droid thought it was in a multimedia dock so it stayed on while on my side.THAT's why my battery was draining so fast.So, be sure to get a velcro or other type of holster, nothing with magnets.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI originally purchased a holster off of ebay that was meant for an iPhone (seeing as they're about the same dimensions), but its clasp is magnetic and will randomly confuse the phone into thinking it's in car mode.I just got another case (this one) that has a velcro clasp and was marketed for the Droid. Well...it came in the mail today and my phone definitely doesn't fit in it.Has anyone found a decent holster that doesn't use a magnetic clasp? I found that verizon has one, has anyone tried it? I don't ever use the belt clip, so I'd like to get a case that the belt clip is removable.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Droid not too long ago, and decided to go with the hard case/hoslter combo; the stupid thing SQUEAKS when I remove my Droid, however. Anybody figure out a simple fix to this issue, or even where it's squeaking? I'd rather not oil the case and I've tried bending it out a little to fix rubbing issues, but to no avail. That notwithstanding, does anyone have a really awesome holster that works well? Either vertical or horizontal works for me, though it needs to hook to a belt (obviously).

I feel like this case might be responsible for slightly spreading out the space between the screen and keyboard on the left hand side! This has caused a clicking issue whenever pressing anywhere on the left hand side of the case!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in the new clip/holster case combo for the droid but i also use the car mount unit daily. I was wondering if the case will still work with the dash mount or will i have to remove the case every time...
This is a deal breaker for me and im sure lots of people will use the navigation with the dash mount but this will stop lots of sales of the clip/case combo. hopefully seideo or someone will think of this and make a case that will work for both belt clip and dash mount. Looks like the protection film guys will get lots of business from this.
So I'm looking around the web for a good belt case / holster for my new Droid, but all the ones I've seen have a magnetic flap to keep them closed. While this is great, wont this confuse the Droid into thinking it's docked (and thus drain the battery)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter trying a few of the clip on cases, I hated how they ALL affected the smoothness on the slide out keyboard. If you look closely to whats happening, they force the sliding motion to happen at an awkward angle which causes resistance and I am sure is not good over time. Anyway, after no real satisfaction, I am just going to stick with the verizon screen protector and naked everywhere else.

I never really paid attention to it, the sliding open never really bothered me, until I realized that basically my phone was sliding open, coming on, then closing, then opening again. Does anyone use a case that keeps it from opening?

View 15 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.

I used to have the gel case which was great but didn't protect the screen and I didn't want to quick a protector onto my phone. The beauty of the pouch is that is allows you to have the beautiful touch and feel of the phone but able to keep it well protected as well.

View 11 Replies View RelatedLove the Eris so far...minus 1 glitch which is hopefully user error. Has anyone else had a problem with it calling from your pocket? It has happened to me a few times the passed couple of days (just picked up the phone this weekend) where the screen is somehow activated in my pocket, possibly after a missed call or text, which results in "pocket dial". Is there an alternative method to "unlock" the screen so maybe it doesn't happen so easily? This is my first touch screen to maybe there is a trick I don't know about.
View 28 Replies View RelatedI've used SMS Popup and Handcent's popup feature and both reply to messages while the phone is in my pocket, and obviously they are jibberish and it annoys some of my friends (I don't even realize they texted me most of the time).
Is there any way to have some sort of unlocking feature when the phone 'wakes up'? Has anyone else figured out a way around this problem?
