View 1 RepliesI'm coming to the Droid from a BB Curve and was wondering if there was a pocket holster/pouch similar to the OEM one. I'm not much for belt carry and I need a slim pouch to fit on my pocket.

View 42 Replies View RelatedI realized yesterday that I'm killing my battery life by having my Droid sliding open while in my pocket. I never really paid attention to it, the sliding open never really bothered me, until I realized that basically my phone was sliding open, coming on, then closing, then opening again. Does anyone use a case that keeps it from opening?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy keyboard is constantly sliding out when in my pocket or other times when I don't want it to. Really annoying. I like the phone but am not sold on the quality of it at all. I think I am taking it back and waiting for the passion.
Anyone else slide out keyboard getting loose?
I can't seem to avoid pressing the volume/camera buttons as I'm taking the Droid out of my pants or jacket pockets. Has anyone found a way to disable this behavior?
View 15 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI need a "girly" case like the Liz Clairborne ones on the VZ website that has a little loop handle and a zip pocket in the back. This would be something I would slide the phone in and out of as needed.
EDITED TO ADD: Something without a magnetic closure, since that seems to be an issue.
I have an unlocked Droid 3 that used to be on the verizon network. Can I get this phone to work with Red Pocket?
View 11 Replies View RelatedLove the Eris so far...minus 1 glitch which is hopefully user error. Has anyone else had a problem with it calling from your pocket? It has happened to me a few times the passed couple of days (just picked up the phone this weekend) where the screen is somehow activated in my pocket, possibly after a missed call or text, which results in "pocket dial". Is there an alternative method to "unlock" the screen so maybe it doesn't happen so easily? This is my first touch screen to maybe there is a trick I don't know about.
View 28 Replies View RelatedI'm running into a strange problem. Sitting in my living room with both WiFi and 3G, I sometimes discover I can't connect to Gmail, the internet, etc, and then later I can. As far as I can tell, everything is active. I can connect with my computer using WiFi, so the server is up and running, and my wife's iPod can connect using WiFi.Am I doing something wrong, is there a problem with my Android phone, or is just something that happens with Android?Right now, for example, I am trying to send an email using Gmail and it's sitting in the outbox. I can send and receive on the computer fine.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've used SMS Popup and Handcent's popup feature and both reply to messages while the phone is in my pocket, and obviously they are jibberish and it annoys some of my friends (I don't even realize they texted me most of the time).
Is there any way to have some sort of unlocking feature when the phone 'wakes up'? Has anyone else figured out a way around this problem?
I just don't get this yo. I'm running CM6 with REVOlution Remix2 with Slayers 1.1 Ghz kernel. I was on my Wifi yesterday, no problems. Now my phone just refuses to connect to the wifi, it refuses to scan for it as well. My laptop is connected, that's how I'm doing this post. What's up with this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid about a month ago and love it. I do have a problem though: My house is in the same town as a non-verizon CDMA tower (US Cellular) and very far away from the nearest Verizon tower. With my other Verizon phones (older handsets), they just connect to the close tower and have full signal all the time without any issues. My Droid, on the other hand, will always try to stay connected to the distant Verizon tower - it can be very difficult and frustrating to make calls with the Droid because there is often no signal and the phone is unable to place a call. I don't need the 3G at home, as the Droid can use my wireless for browsing, etc. How can I get the Droid to stop trying to connect to the distant Verizon tower and connect to the nearby partner tower instead (so that I have high-quality phone signal at home)? I have called Verizon and Motorola and nothing seems to help.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI did search the forums for this, but couldn't find anything helpful.Maybe I'm not using the right terminology.I have a rooted DX and I want to be able to connect to a share on my home network with Root Explorer. I can do this using the stock "Files" application by going to Shared Folders Add Server. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it with Root Explorer. The device I want to connect to (ReadyNAS Duo) supports CIFS and NFS, and I don't care which one of those I use if that helps.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI can't keep my wifi connected on my Droidx. Scanning connecting connected then a few seconds later the wifi icon disappears and it repeats the process seemingly forever. I've discovered that if I use the wps push button method to connect it was stay connected until the wifi goes to sleep when I tries to reconnect I get the scanning connecting connected loop. I've tried different settings in my router (wpa/wpa2 just wpa, just wpa2, tkip, aes) I refuse to go below wpa encryption. My current settings WPA2 AES. I'm running a Linksys WRT400N dual-band router latest firmware, 2.4ghz mode set to mixed b,g,n. Oddly enough, during the time it took my to write this it connected itself and it seems stable now (at least until I let it idle). Phone probably knew I was on here complaining about it but any help you can give me to obtain a wifi connection better without having to spend 15mins each time trying to get it to connect would be great.
View 14 Replies View RelatedHow do I connect to my router at home? I assume its for the best to do when I am at home (better battery life, faster, etc.) but I can't get it to connect. I have a 2wire router and the only time I've ever used the wireless Internet is with my buddies xbox 360. All we had to do there is type in the number code that was on the bottom of the router. When I type this code in on the Droid X it looks for an IP address but is unsuccessful, even when I am sitting right next to it. Does anyone now how I can get this to work? I probably left out info you need to help me too, so if you need anything just ask.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed on my DX, often if I try to go to a website, the market, or google maps, it'll take a REALLY long time to start working. Even when my 3G light is on, and the down arrow is black, it just sits there.Sometimes the website will say no data connection available, but this is even when i have wifi turned on!I thought this was JuiceDefender so I uninstalled it, but I'm noticing I still have the same problem. I don't want to show off my DX to iPhone friends and have it's not working this time.." moment!
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to connect the Motorola milestone to the net via a pc?
I'm using a cable Internet connection on my pc. My router is connected to the pc using cables. However, since my router isn't wireless, my milestone cannot connect to the internet via wifi. Is it then possible to connect the milestone to the computer via usb and use the internet the computer is on, just like how the tethering works, but only the opposite?
1. My laptop doesn't have a wireless card
2. My laptop is connected to a non-wireless router which is then only connected to the modem
3. I'm running on windows 7
4. I have bluetooth both on my comp and phone
I can't get it to connect on my Droid, it started out fine, but ever since this morning I get a "Not Authorized" Message. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid 2 for two weeks, and I'm still so far from knowing much more than the very basics. I am not in the generation that is born knowing technology, but I'm trying!
My main reason for buying the Droid 2 was the fact that it could be a hotspot. We have a lake house that has no internet access. I want to use it there.
I can't figure out how to connect my computer to its signal. The Droid 2 should be able to do this - Correct?
I have dial up internet so i got the app easy tether on my droid and tried to connect to xbox live using my computer. When i did this it said it encountered an MTU error.what exactly is this and how can i fix it. Also how much data do you think playing on live would use because isn't there a "5 gb limit" on the unlimited phone plan.

View 2 Replies View RelatedStarting today, when I dock my phone into my multimedia dock, it automatically goes into USB connect mode. I myself have not manually made this change nor install any software that knowingly does this. What I did install yesterday was WinAmp beta, YouTube from market (although everytime I look at my downloads, youtube still says its downloading) ADW Theme found yesterday on DroidLife (which was a waste).
