Nov 13, 2010I bought this handy little widget a few weeks ago because it gives me a much better idea of my signal strength. It works great most of the time. The only issues come when I reboot my phone and the widget, option for the widget and icon disappear from my phone. I have to uninstall/reinstall it to get it back up again. I emailed the dev and have yet to receive a response. Any ideas on a fix for this or is it just a marketing scam to inflate his download numbers?

Sep 22, 2010Looks like there is no way to make the phone completely silent without having to press a button when a call is coming in. I tried pressing the volume button all the way down, pass the vibrate mode but that seems to have been removed in 2.2.

Sep 23, 2010When the leak came out I installed it and was running up until last week I never had one issue period I loved it loved the new features and loved the increase in speed. Last week I sbf back to 2.1 thinking how much better they could have made it over the last 40 days (boy was I wrong) I have had to do no less then 3 batt pulls because my phone has froze completly. touch screen out 3 times. Open the camera it closes down right away among other issues. I have had my ringer go so quiet on its own that I could not hear it then check the volume and its all the way up WTF moto you screwed the pooch on this one wow.

Samsung Fascinate : Won't Boot Completely / Suddenly My Screen Went Black
Nov 11, 2010So I was at work today browsing the market and suddenly my screen went black. I tried pressing the power button to wake it but got nothing. After a few minutes of waiting, I pulled the battery. The phone will boot past the "Samsung", "Galaxy S" and "Verizon" screens, but gets stuck on the Verizon one for a while then goes dark. The soft buttons on the bottom stay lit. That's it. I've probably done it 10-15 times through the evening now, and I get no farther.
I wasn't doing anything particularly taxing at the time, and I haven't added anything recently that would have caused a change in any system files. I'm running voodoo v.2 with the OCLF (because it won't uninstall) and all has been well for almost six weeks now... then all of a sudden this happens.
I'm thinking maybe I need to learn exactly what Odin is and how to use it, but any help that you can give would be great.

Dec 28, 2009Are any of you having trouble with this? The sensor doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I have a problem accessing the keyboard during calls to automated services and sometimes the screen won't stay lit long enough for me to end my calls.
Aside from that, my Droid keeps freezing up today. I haven't had any trouble with that before. I've got a week to go before I pass my 30 day trial. I'm not sure what to do. This phone has to be mailed in as I got it online. If there's a way to fix these problems, I'd rather not send it in and wait 3 weeks to receive a new one.

Motorola Droid :: 3G Icon Disappears / No Data Access
Nov 10, 2009I've noticed this happen 2 or 3 different times since Friday. For whatever reason the 3G icon disappears from the title bar but I still show 3-4 bars signal strength. At this time all data access is lost, no response from email, web, talk, etc. I've tried waiting it out but it doesn't seem to respond. During this time I've also tried cycling airplane mode, but that doesn't help. So I power the phone off and back on and it comes up with 3g data access again. Anyone seen this or know how to "wake up" 3g data access again once its gone?

Dec 9, 2009I just got my phone yesterday and spent all night downloading apps and customizing it. Today, I was showing it to some people then put it my pocket (might not have locked it first). Next thing I know, it starts to beep and I look at it and it's back to the HTC start screen and loads up and asks me to go through the same initial steps I had gone through to activate the phone. I did all this and then it started up and all my apps and customization were gone. I assume they're lost now but does anybody know how that happened so I can avoid that happening again?

Nov 11, 2010After 10 years of Blackberry I made the switch to a Droid X six days ago.
Twice in the last 6 days my phone has shut down and become completely unresponsive.
The first time was the first time I powered it off. When I attempted to power it on the phone would only show me the Motorola logo and do nothing else.
A battery pull fixed it.
The second time it went dead was as I unhooked it from my computer USB...it's a PC and I "dismounted" the phone manually first...but then...nothing....
A battery pull fixed it again.
So. That's a long way of asking: is two 'dead' experiences in 6 days leading to two battery pulls normal? Should I take it back while I can?

Jul 29, 2010I'm running succulent desire 7.0 simply black on my droid with chevys 1.2 kernel, and under manage applications I don't have the option to move all apps to the sd card. Only a select few are moveable. My sd card is partitioned also. How can I get the option to store all the apps on sd. I remember seeing a way on terminal emulator, but I forget the code/steps.
