Sep 26, 2010Can it be done? my Motorola droid broke a few days ago and it it turns on and can function fine, but the bottom half is not hard attached to the top half. Just the media cable holds it. So long story short I ended up with an ally and all i need to know is i have sms messages on the moto i want to transfer. There has to be an app that can do.

Aug 8, 2010I was wondering if anyone knows how to sort pictures so that the newer pictures are at the beginning of the list? The default is that new pictures are all the way at the bottom, and since I have over a hundred pictures its annoying to scroll all the way to the bottom. I don't see any option to sort the pictures in any other way.

Jul 23, 2010I downloaded andFTP and put some pictures on my phone from my home PC. they are all JPGs and can be seen in the root of the phone in File Manager but the photo gallery isnt recognizing them. SOLVED KIND OF. I had to restart the phone and it recognizes them now, is the normal? is there a way to prompt a media scan?

Nov 18, 2009I'm new to Android,but I've had smartphones.I've had an iphone and win mobile phones. I'm not sure I'm understanding how to import video to the droid. I tried just making a folder on the sd card and pasting a video(mp4) in it, but the droid doesn't recognize it.Then i used Motorola media link, it worked, but the picture quality didn't seem as sharp on the droid than it did on the iphone(didn't compress it when i transferred) and can't seem to figure out how to expand video to fill screen.

How can i get them back? I put it as a disk drive to try and look for it but when i go into DCIM there's only like 10 files in there.

Aug 9, 2010I guess this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a proper answer/solution. Have a note-taking app, which allows to take pictures. For that I start an intent, that starts up the built-in camera-app. So far so good. But when I show that image in my app, it's in a much smaller format The funny/weird thing is, that the camera-app did take a full-resolution picture! But for some reason I can't get the full version to show in my app? So, when I use the standard Android Gallery app, and go to that picture, it is very obvious that it's full size (I can zoom in and see details I really can't see when I zoom in, in my own app). Also, the dimensions are really those of the original picture, taken with the 5MP camera. In my app, they are very small. My phone has Android 2.2, but the same happens on my emulator (Android 2.1). How should I retrieve the pictures in my app? Tried a couple of ways, but none works :( Don't need a complete example (allthough that's very welcome), just a few clues are enough to search for myself.
