Media :: Unable To Send / Receive Files / Pictures / Music By Blutooth
Apr 21, 2010I`m hoping this in the right place, I have looked all over for some kind of answer to my problem. I can switch B/T on & pair up etc for the 1st time after scanning for new devices, but try & connect again later & it doesn`t want to know ! Also, I can't send or receive files ie pictures, music etc.

Jun 2, 2010I'm new to the Android OS having been a Symbian (2nd phone is a Nokia N97) and Windows Mobile user previously. My question regards a copy of Family Guy (Something, Something, Something, Dark Side) which I purchased yesterday. The standard DVD also comes with a digital copy on the DVD which, when inserted into the drive brings up a choice of transferring the file to my computer to be copied over to my Desire as either a iTunes file or a Windows Media Video (WMV).Ideally I want to avoid the iTunes route as currently I have no use for that program on my system so I would like to be able to use the WMV version. When I copied the file to my Desire, it didn't play and the phone didn't seem to recognise it. Can anyone please give me advice on how to play a WMV on my Desire?

Jul 23, 2010I'm still trying to get to grips with the folder/filing system of the Desire's SD card. I have yet to put any of my own MP3's onto the phone but have put on a few short audio clips which I created at work. These were on the phone mainly so I could transport them home but I also occasionally play them from the phone. However I don't want them cropping up amongst music in the music player app/widget, but it seems no matter where I put them on the SD card they appear. The only exception is if I put them in media => ringtones which isn't ideal. Are there any other places where i can put them where they won't be found by the media player?

Apr 4, 2010I have a Samsung Galaxy I7500 using android 1.5. I extended my phone with a 16GB microSD. I copied a big music collection (around 800 files) into a folder on this SD. Now the problem is that the music player can't find all the files.
I know that there are several threads about android not finding music. The answers are usually that the library hasn't yet been updated or that the ID3 tags are not correct.
I have checked both.
Btw. I can play the files using ASTRO.
In my opinion it seems as if android can't build up a library with too many entries. If I rename the files or put them into different folders, songs disappear and reappear quite randomly.
Do you have any solutions? Is there a music player which doesn't use the native music players index of files?

Jan 31, 2013I just updated my Galaxy SII GT-I9100 to the latest official 4.1.2 JB, and wiped my phone beforehand so I could have everything from scratch.
All my contacts are in Gmail with hi-res pictures set there, so I did not worry about having lo-res pictures after Google supposedly fixed the picture quality issue.
Thing is, after I set my Google account on the fresh installation, it indeed synced each contact's picture, but in lo-res!
I noticed sometimes, when I opened up the contact and waited a few moments, the picture was automatically changed for the hi-res version, as if the cellphone only downloaded it "on demand".
How to truly make it download every contact's HD picture properly without having to open each contact's picture?
Media :: HTC Desire - Media Player Doesn't Work
Sep 12, 2010I have just got a HTC desire and like many people would like to be able to get rid of my iPod all together and have just my phone. The problem I'm having is that the media player on the HTC desire doesn't work nearly as well as iTunes. I have several issues that would needed to be resolved and wanted to know if anyone had a solution to any of them
1) Audio books, I have many of these on my iTunes and on an iPod they are displayed in a separate folder and are removed from shuffles, not so on the HTC, solution?
2) Podcasts, Again i subscribe to many podcasts on my iTunes and wanted to know if there was any way of adding them to my HTC automatically or having them download automatically (Despite this being very annoying and clogging up my hard drive with duplicated podcasts)
3)Playlists I am currently using iTunes agent to sync from my iTunes but it means that I cannot sync playlists that i can then play on my phone. (I can sync playlists just not then play them on their own once they are on my phone)
