I have had the HTC for a few months now and love it, but i havent been able to figure out how to make new folders for my pictures...I would hope this feature is avalible so if anyone can help.

On my Hero I have a lot of pictures that I want to move around to different folders only I'm not seeing an option to do this. How can I create a folder or move pictures from one folder to another one that was already created on my SD card?

I would like to be able to create several other albums (i.e. kids, family, friends, pets, etc) to easily access pictures instead of scrolling through 100's. m sure i not the only one thats wants this cuz its kind of annoying to see all the photos in one album rather then have it all organized.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.
When I go into my gallery for pictures I have roughly 200 pictures, its annoying to find the one I want, is it possible to split them into separate folders (e.g. "Personal", "Wallpapers", "Icons")? I don't mind downloading an app or two to achieve this, I just don't like all my photos being thrown together.

What I need to do with my Incredible is so simple and I am really amazed that this phone's photo application is as bad as it is. I have about 100 photos. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. Therefore, is there any decent apps out there that will allow me to create folders (or albums) and put pics into them? I also need to somehow backup the photos (probably directly off of the SD card onto my PC).

I have almost 400 pics all listed under Camera shots and, of course, anytime I am looking for 1 specific pic, I have to filter through them all. I am wondering if it has something to do with the Qik app I have but sometimes if I am using Qik then go back to my main screen and then a little while later try to open my Media folder again, it will not open. My other folders will open. I usually have to do a hard reset of the phone (power off/on) then I have access to folder again. I am not 100% sure that the Qik app is causing my folder to freeze up or not. Just curious if anyone else has noticed folders freezing up and not opening when you tap them.

First, am I correct in that if I use Wi-Fi I will avoid the 3g charges since Im using another internet source? Just got my Droid 2.
Trying to access shared folders on my home network (3 computers running XP) via the Media Share.
Set up the files for sharing on the computers.
On my Droid clicked on "Media Share" -> "Start" -> "Computer" -> "Copy" -> "Windows File Sharing" -> "Next" -> Shared 3 folders on my computer. -> "Next" -> Verified my home network was availabe, clicked "Next" -> clicked "Next" -> "Shared Folders" -> "Add Server" -> "Scan for Servers" ->
At this point it finds the IP address of the laptop Im working on. using DHCP. But when I click on it, it keeps asking for a user name and password. dont have one for XP and no password on the files.

I downloaded andFTP and put some pictures on my phone from my home PC. they are all JPGs and can be seen in the root of the phone in File Manager but the photo gallery isnt recognizing them. I have Astro File Manager and I looked through the SD card on my computer. I don't see a video folder anywhere (root, media folder, or pictures folder). I can't find the pictures I have taken either. They do exist and are still available to view on my phone. How can I find where it's storing media?

I would like to import some pictures from my computer to my new phone but can't figure out how.
So I accidentally deleted my DCIM folder on my phone through Android File Transfer and it deleted all my photos. I understand that I probably can't get them back, but the thing is, now if I take a picture, I can't see it! When I go in photos it just says "Media not found. (Google Nexus 5)
