Media :: How To Transfer Audio Lectures From CD To Phone?
Jul 19, 2010
I have several CDROMs with lectures on them and I would like to somehow transfer those lectures into my HTC Droid Incredible. My guess is that I somehow have to save the data on the Cds to my desktop computer and then from there save it to the phone.

I initially synced with Media Go and all of my music transferred, but now that I have made some changes on Media Go, I don't know how to make them transfer to my phone. I connect my phone to the computer, and my phone shows up as a F: drive device. I am used to iTunes and there being a Sync button.

The audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Samsung Moment.

Has anyone (specifically students) tried using the Evo's voice recording feature to record lectures? I don't see myself doing this often but occasionally there's a need. I'm sure a dedicated recorder would do a much better job, but it'd be pretty sweet to be able use the Evo this way.

Any suggestions as to what voice recording app I should use to record a lecture in a 100-150 seat room? I downloaded "Voice Recorder" by Mamoru Tokashiki and used it today but was wondering if there are any alternatives that are recommended.

What do you use to transfer music to your android device?
Also, what is your favorite music player on the android? (the default one is just ok)
I manage my music collection with foobar2000 and my directories look like: 01 title.mp3...folder.jpg
So, android can't figure out the album art right now, has anyone had any experience solving this problem?
Also, I don't know if this is specific to my phone (galaxy with galaxo), but it does not recognize songs with chinese id3 tags (it shows up as ?).

Does anyone know what might have caused this or has this happened to anyone? I'm not really making a big deal out of it im just curious as to what might have happened?

Week old owner of above phone and loving it.. BUT
I've searched the forum and elsewhere but can't figure out how to transfer music from my hardrive onto the phone. I have managed to synch my phone contacts/calendar (which was a job in itself).
The PC which is an XP home version, does not pick up my phone to allow me to transfer files. Can anyone offer advice in very simple terms please?

I am looking for a media player - to play all kind of music formats, mp3, wav, etc. Also it would be good to have a player that have a simple search through folders capability to go to navigate to phone's internal memory. The player that comes with Incredible has the capability to search through folders in the internal memory, but I don't think it plays all formats. On the other hand I see that "market" place is full of different players, but all that I downloaded only search on SD card and does not have capability to navigate to internal storage. I know one of the simplest solutions would be to put all music on SD card, but heck we have 8Gb of internal storage why not to use it?

How do I transfer Windows Media videos to my HTC Evo? Specifically, digital copy that comes when you buy a Blu-Ray movie. The problem seems to be the codec. I used handbrake to when converting but when I tried it, phone said it couldn't play this video. No reason or error code.

I did the unmount thinking. Also, I am wondering how I can play audio from my phone through the RR audio system.
RR is 2010.

So is the audio quality crappy and too quiet or is it just me? I tried listening to music using the included headphones yesterday on a plane, and I could barely hear the audio. I ended up switching to my iPod, which I had hoped my G1 would replace. Has anyone used the G1 with different (i.e. better) headphones, and what were your results? (I know the headphone jack is proprietary, but I'm hoping with better headphones/earbuds and a USB to 3.5mm converter I can sqeeze better quality and volume from the G1. We'll see.)

I really want to know why I can not hear any sound whatsoever simply because the video uses 5.1ch aac instead of 2ch aac. The video part of mp4 plays perfectly, encoded to h.264. I would really like to know if there is any media player able to play these videos correctly without having to resort to any kind of re-encoding (a waste of time when the original encodes should play fine) or having to use special 5.1ch headphones (bulky and not practical to keep on hand all the time). Also, does anyone know if this might be corrected with Froyo 2.2? And last, all my videos that have 2ch audio play as they should, sound and all. Same codec settings were used.

I'm still trying to get to grips with the folder/filing system of the Desire's SD card. I have yet to put any of my own MP3's onto the phone but have put on a few short audio clips which I created at work. These were on the phone mainly so I could transport them home but I also occasionally play them from the phone. However I don't want them cropping up amongst music in the music player app/widget, but it seems no matter where I put them on the SD card they appear. The only exception is if I put them in media => ringtones which isn't ideal. Are there any other places where i can put them where they won't be found by the media player?

I'm wondering what the current state of streaming online audio through bluetooth stereo is, post cupcake. I think the consensus is that it's not currently possible, but I feel like it should be. In fact, it does ALMOST work. Using StreamFurious or Dizzler, it will start to play and stutter a few seconds, then cut out totally. I can hear a song begin to play, but the audio is choppy and then goes out. So, bluetooth seems to be making, but not maintaining a connection to the audio stream. How to remedy this? I want my streaming SOMAFM.COM.
