The audio/video works perfectly if I watch the recording on my phone, but when I email the video to my gmail account and save it to my computer, it opens in Media Player and there's no sound. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a Samsung Moment.

I used Astro to try to find it on the phone, but I can't seem to find it that way either.
The file is too large to send via email, and I cannot use bluetooth transfer. I would like to get the video off of my phone, and onto my computer. Any suggestions?
I know this has been discussed before, but I've been having audio / video sync issues with converted videos on the eris. I'd like to emphasize it is the PHONE ONLY and that all videos played great on the computer. Is there any solution, or maybe a better mp4 video software out there? I'm down to a video quality of 320x240 and 350kbs, but the video still starts to lag the audio. If I pause and then play, the video speeds up to "catch up" to the audio for a split second, but then slowly falls behind again. Overall, I've been really disappointed with the incredibly slow processor on the Eris. It's not like this thing was HTC's first smartphone or anything...
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm big into freestyling. i have over 1500 instrumentals on my phone.i can't figure out how to play them and record myself (either audio or video) at the same time.i figure i'm either gonna have to download a new music player that won't close or a video/audio recorder that won't close the "Music" player that came with my evo.and before anyone goes tryin to be smart, i realize that even if i was able to accomplish such an action the quality would probably be really low due to speaker and mic being so close.my intent is more of a "on the fly lyric composition" rather than a " put myself on youtube to show everyone how awesome i am"

I am on the brink of buying my first Android phone (HTC Desire) and have just stumbled across some postings about Vodafone's restrictions on streaming audio and video. I have read a few articles on this now, but I really don't understand exactly what the blocks apply to. It seems to apply to "RTSP" streaming, but I'm not clear about what this is and whether this just applies to live streaming, or also to recorded video such as clips on the BBC News site.Does this apply only to Vodafone, or also to other networks? I was thinking of getting a new contract with Vodafone because the coverage with my current provider Orange in my area is very poor, and because Vodafone have the best price for the Desire. However if this streaming problem applies to all video on Vodafone, I may well pay a little more and go for O2. I don't know whether this would make any difference, but I will be going for an unbranded and unlocked phone through CPW.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a subscriber to a show which I listen to on the PC while I work. I'd like to be able to listen to it on my new Droid X.There are three links on the site. The first one streams to windows media player. The second link streams to real audio. The third link downloads a podcast in mp3 format. So far I haven't figured out how to get any of them to work.The windows media link brings up a video player that says the file can not be displayed or played.The RA link downloads an .ra file. Selecting the file brings up the stock music player, which says it can't play the file. (I do have the RA beta installed but it doesn't appear to be associated with .ra files and I don't know how to fix that. Are there mime types in android?)The mp3 link gives the error "Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone." Now that's just wrong. It's an MP3 file. The stock player should be able to play it.I'm not greedy -- I'd be happy if any one of these three possibilities worked.

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting subtitles to work in any video player on Android so far.
I though that I may be lucky after converting an MKV with embedded subs to an MP4 and playing in Meridian with no luck. After having a look over the Meridian FAQ/Tutorial I can see they are supported, though only as an additional SRT. Having a had a look around it appears extracting SRTs from MKV is not nearly as easy as you'd think (I've so far been unsuccessful) so I thought I'd see if anyone else has had more luck.
I'm having issues syncing playlists from my computer to my phone.
Here's my issue;
Basically when i sync playlists from my PC to my phone, it saves the playlists on my phone as .PLA format.
Now the only player that actually reads those playlists is my stock player.
I have tried several android players, but non of them will recognize the playlists.
On my PC for syncing i have tried
-WMP
-Winamp
-MediaMonkey
-DoubleTwist
All of these create playlists in PLA format on my device when transferring them, which wouldnt be a problem if i wanted to use the stock player.
As for android apps/media players i have tried:
-Cubed
-Winamp
-Mort Player
-Media PlayerPro
-Mixzing
-Astro Player
When i create a playlist using any of the apps on my phone, every other app is capable of reading them.
However, the playlist file can not be found on my phone, or my SD card. so i have no clue what format they are saved to, or where they are saved too.
I'm basically looking for a way to transfer my playlists from my computer to my android phone, and have the other apps actually read the playlists. The phone im using is the Samsung Galaxy S.
I'm searching for android phones that can use video out to the tv for a research project. I'm considering the HTC Touch Pro.
Is there anything I have to do specifically to get the video out to work (for displaying my app on the tv)? or will the phone just display a running app on the tv without extra work?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to just plug the phone into the computer via USB and a drive letter would appear and I would be able to easily move files off the phone and to my computer.
Now when I plug the phone in Media Share pops up with numerous menus and sub menus. Best I've been able to figure out to do is copy one individual file at a time to some mystery folder somewhere on my network. Or using DLNA it opens up Windows Media Player on my computer which shows previews of the photos but no way to transfer the actual files.
I got a samsung galaxy s vibrant and I loaded elfen lied on my phone the subtitles are supported but my audio isn't working was wondering if it was because it is in dual audio. I am currently running 2.1 eclair on my phone.

It is my first Android-based phone, so I am still learning the ropes. My question is this: When I take a video with my Droid, how do I transfer it to my computer? I tried emailing the video, but no attachments went thru. Is there a way to export it via USB, etc.? I know they can be sent straight to youtube if there is wifi available, but I want to send it to the computer for viewing, forwarding, burning to dvd, etc. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I ask because I im a dallas cowboys fan that lives in New York so most games aren't broadcast. The nfl mobile app lets me watch live feeds and games, but as you can imagine the screen is only so big. What I need to do is to stream live what I record with the androids' camera, to a remote computer. I managed to establish a connection between the mobile phone and the computer, but I do not know how to send the video.I searched through forums, and I found out that in order to send a streaming video you have you use the ParcelFileDescriptor. So I created an instance of MediaRecorder with encoding H263 and .mp4 file format, I created a Socket and then I created a new ParcelFileDescriptor connecting it with the socket. If that is correct then the android application that I created is functional.What I don't know now is what to do at the side of the computer in order to receive and view the streaming video. I tried using JMF, but it doesn't support .mp4 video files. What do you suggest me to do? Or where to look in order to find a solution?

I did download a file manager that allows me to copy apps to my sd card and then move the card from my computer to my incredible. But everytime i send an email with an app, all the options i get is to preview the item, and it comes back with a parsing error each time. I spent a few minutes searching through the forums but could not find an answer.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Moment with Android 2.1 on it and lately I cannot stream music or video in any app that I try. The YouTube app says "Sorry, this video cannot be played." for every single video, and if I try to use something like DroidLive (for shoutcast and such) it has a connection error every time. Grooveshark has an "Unknown MediaPlayer error." I tried a few other random apps off of the market to try to rule things out and none of them would play. Music that is stored on my SD card plays just fine.
It doesn't only not work sometimes, it doesn't work 100% of the time now. Happens when I have 3G and even if I'm connected to Wifi. I did a factory reset last night thinking that maybe an app had messed with a setting somewhere and it still doesn't work. I have no clue what else I could possibly try.
