My old verizon phone had such a program from verizon. Does anybody know a app that will ID a song after listening to it for a few seconds?
My friend mentioned an app that can detect the title of a song by 'listening' to it. If there is one, Where I can get it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a newbie android phone user (formerly a BB user) and new to this site so forgive me if this has been asked before. I have the Samsung epic and downloaded music to listen to with my headphones. While listening to music, I tested calling my phone and the music changed and began playing my music ringtone. I also noticed that my "ringtone" was playing outloud also. Here is my question.... is there a better setting I can set so that my phone doesn't play my ringtone out loud when I am listening with my headphones. With how it is currently set, I can see it disturbing other people around my while in a coffee shop, the gym, etc. Thanks for any help!

Download JustKS_&_Jojo__Android.mp3 from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
I use iTunes, and in iTunes EVERY single song has an album artwork cover. Some I literally right clicked and went to info to add the artwork, but the majority were found by iTunes using "Get album artwork." I'm looking for someone to suggest a program that I simply click go, and it takes the album artwork I already have, embeds it to the file, and allows it to properly display on my Incredible. I don't care if it costs money or not, I just am looking for someone who may know a program with this capability.

First declared my array:
final int[] songs = {R.raw.ef101a, R.raw.ef101b, R.raw.ef101c, R.raw.ef101d, R.raw.ef101e};
Then called Media Player:
public void onClick(View arg0) { MediaPlayer mp = MediaPlayer.create(efaustusa.this, songs);
mp.start();
I cannot call the array through this media player call. How to do this?
Curious about how much music everyone carries around. A few song or as much as you can fit? And if you had you way, how much do you have? Do you listen to a single genre or do you have stuff from everywhere?

Your at the gym listening to some Crue, Iron Maiden or some Hagar and all of a sudden the next song comes on and it's a f'ing ring tone, WTF is that doing playing! View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has had luck playing .mp3 files that are around 100-200+ meg in size? I'm working through the "Best Player" thread trying to find something that will. So far the only one to come close is Ringdroid, of all things, but try as it did it would not load the file (all other apps I've tried so far just say it's an unsupported file).
Ps the file I'm trying plays fine in Audacity on my Linux box. An iPod will play these files but you cannot fast forward through the song at all.
Is there any way to get the details of current song played by media player?

View 8 Replies View RelatedUsed MML to sync my Itunes to the droid. was relatively easy. it didn't like purchased songs so i just deleted them from MML. Then in the all song list it randomly doubled up songs. But the worst thing it did was there a quite a few songs where it mixed up the song title with a different song.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to listen for application launches?I'm trying to develop an application where the user can specify a list of applications that he/she wants to "protect." If they are in this list, then whenever the application is launched, my app will ask them to enter a password.However, I've been going through the Android SDK for days and can't figure out how to listen for application launches.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI used to have a problem with the media scanner making duplicate song entries, only one would play and the other was invalid. For some reason that went away and now it adds media once and never scans again, so if I add songs later they never get picked up to be shown in the music player or winamp etc.
I found these tips:
go to application manager> all application and search
-media storage,
-music player,
-gallery application
and just delete cache and data and restart. It will solve the problem a it force to re build data base
This works still but it is a complete PITA because it resets wallpapers, ringtones and all sorts of other things to default and I don't want to have to do this every time I add a song. How do I fix the media scanner, does it even have logs or something I can look at?

This feature was pretty swell on the blackberry storm. Just curious if this feature is available on the Motorboatin son of a Droid X.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI can't imagine that this doesn't already exist. I just don't know how to search for it. I have so many songs on my EVO - many of which I haven't even heard before. I'd love for the PICO text to speech voice to 'announce' the [file]name of each song as they start to play (or end, or both). Does such a thing exist?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've always been a fan of V Cast music ID before I recently switched to my Droid X. It was one of my favorite features. I was able to find it in the Verizon apps, as well as Shazam and SoundHound in the Droid Apps. However, both Shazam and Soundhound, no matter how many times I try, say they didn't receive any music or failed to identify a song, and V Cast SongID just stays on the "Listening" screen until I have to close the app. The songs I've tried are relevantly popular songs so I know they're not too unique for the databases. I've placed my phone in every possible way up to my speakers but no such luck. Is this a common problem? Could it be leaning towards a phone issue and not an app issue with three apps all failing to carry out their function. I'm not going to pay for a full version until I get it worked out.

My android stick computer (Minix Neo X5) does not behave this way. Every time I flash a new ROM, regardless of whether it is an official ROM from the developer (Minix) or a custom ROM with CWM, Google Play does not recognize that it is the same device as before and I have to go through the arduous process of installing all previous apps.
Is there a file or folder that I could backup on my stick computer and restore after flashing that will let Google Play recognize it properly? build.prop?

Can someone explain a couple of very simple concepts to me - I'm interested in mobile devices running android and how they are identified over networks. Some scenarios: Device is connected over WiFi - presumably the device has a standard IP address as with any host and can communicate with any other android host over TCP/IP (assuming it knows the participating device's IP? device is connected over bluetooth - how are devices identified in this case? device is connected over mobile operator's network - this is the one I'm interested in and confused by - is there anyway for two or more devices to discover each other and communicate via the mobile operator's network? How does a device communicate with a backend server in this scenario? In other words, how do apps and devices communicate when not connected to a WiFi network?
