I can't imagine that this doesn't already exist. I just don't know how to search for it. I have so many songs on my EVO - many of which I haven't even heard before. I'd love for the PICO text to speech voice to 'announce' the [file]name of each song as they start to play (or end, or both). Does such a thing exist?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've always been a fan of V Cast music ID before I recently switched to my Droid X. It was one of my favorite features. I was able to find it in the Verizon apps, as well as Shazam and SoundHound in the Droid Apps. However, both Shazam and Soundhound, no matter how many times I try, say they didn't receive any music or failed to identify a song, and V Cast SongID just stays on the "Listening" screen until I have to close the app. The songs I've tried are relevantly popular songs so I know they're not too unique for the databases. I've placed my phone in every possible way up to my speakers but no such luck. Is this a common problem? Could it be leaning towards a phone issue and not an app issue with three apps all failing to carry out their function. I'm not going to pay for a full version until I get it worked out.

View 12 Replies View Related1st, I would like to say that for the most part, Im happy with the Moment. The extended battery life after the update was a BIG plus.But i have a question. I used a samsung m520 slider for about a year before getting into the smartphones. The m520 would "announce" incoming calls.. It was very handy being im in construction and work with my hands all day. I would hear " call from home" or "call from" Whoever was calling as long as they were in my contact list.. Now with the Moment, i get a call and have to reach into my pocket, and look to see who is calling.. Kinda defeats the purpose. with my fingers all dirty, full of liquid nail, or caulk.. hell, mud even.. kinda sucks to grab my phone to see who is calling.. at that point, i could lift it up to my ear and talk. Does anyone know how to make this phone "announce" incoming calls? I called sprint on this issue, after trying to figure it out, they referred me to Samsung, who conected me with a "level 2" tech who told me to call google! So, I did, and google does not support the phone! any one know of an app? or a way to kick this in gear?

I dont want to touch the phone as i live in Australia and it is hot and i dont want to sweat all over the phone and break something. With the Iphone they have something where you hit the button twice on the head phones and it skips a song. Three clicks of the button the music player goes back one song. I've had Handcent sms app for a long time and never had any problems, I love it. But with the newest update it has begun playing a long annoying song when I get an sms, even though I've set it to a normal single sound. I've tried reinstalling it, but it doesn't help. Can anyone help me? Or recommend another sms program, just as good.

I use the bluetooth on my Mazda 3 for music and routing instead of owning an expensive NAV system. Please enable the Sprint Nav to do so. This would be the ONLY thing I miss from the iPhone at this time.
Request 2. The headphones hiss when a song fades out. Is this a HTC hardware issue or something that can be addressed with a firmware patch? I hear I can get headphones that come out of the bottom port but the hero touted the 3.5 jack and I should not have to do so.
I am trying to play a file using the MediaPlay. The first time it is played, it only plays for 1 or 2 seconds then cuts out and never returns. The second time I play the song, it goes about 3 seconds. This function is in the onCreate function:
