View 11 RepliesIs there a way to set a song on my phone as an alarm. The default options are just way too annoying for me. If I can't do it with the default clock, is there an app that will let me do this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsed MML to sync my Itunes to the droid. was relatively easy. it didn't like purchased songs so i just deleted them from MML. Then in the all song list it randomly doubled up songs. But the worst thing it did was there a quite a few songs where it mixed up the song title with a different song.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I was listening to some of the alternate songs that can be used for your phone's alarm. I chose one and tried it. Now I'd like to go back to the default song. Does anyone know its name and how to change back to it without re-setting the entire phone back to its defaults?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI upgrade from a blackberry storm to the eris and I'm looking for an alarm app that could turn the phone on when its time to get up. My blackberry had the capability of being turned off but would turn back on when the alarm went off. Does the eris have this capability or is there an app out there for this.

I have my ringtone set to a modest mouse song and when someone calls it does what its suppose to do and ring. But on the other end of the line whoever is calling will get my voice mail and my phone will continue to play the song until its over. I know most of you are going to say "Factory Reset!" but im trying to trouble shoot before i go that route.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use iTunes, and in iTunes EVERY single song has an album artwork cover. Some I literally right clicked and went to info to add the artwork, but the majority were found by iTunes using "Get album artwork." I'm looking for someone to suggest a program that I simply click go, and it takes the album artwork I already have, embeds it to the file, and allows it to properly display on my Incredible. I don't care if it costs money or not, I just am looking for someone who may know a program with this capability.

View 12 Replies View RelatedTrying to get one mediaplayer button to cycle through a few mp3 files. Here is what I have so far:
First declared my array:
final int[] songs = {R.raw.ef101a, R.raw.ef101b, R.raw.ef101c, R.raw.ef101d, R.raw.ef101e};
Then called Media Player:
public void onClick(View arg0) { MediaPlayer mp = MediaPlayer.create(efaustusa.this, songs);
mp.start();
I cannot call the array through this media player call. How to do this?
Curious about how much music everyone carries around. A few song or as much as you can fit? And if you had you way, how much do you have? Do you listen to a single genre or do you have stuff from everywhere?
View 15 Replies View RelatedLet me preface this by saying I am a 48-hours deep Android NOOB, so I apologize if the solution to this is something unbelievably simple that I have just overlooked. I don't think it is, because I am very experienced with WinMo, BB, and WebOS and don't usually pull NOOB type moves.
So, I have a Droid Eris. Actually, I have two. Well, I have one and she has one, anyway. I have had no trouble with hooking mine up to the computer with USB, mounting it, and moving files back and forth. One of the first things I did was load files on.
When I try and hook hers up, I plug it in with the same USB cable (one of the cables that came with them, btw), mount it, and nothing happens. It isn't recognized by the computer. The first time I did this with her phone, I had a little balloon pop up on the task bar that said something about "installing HTC Dream".
If I go to my computer tho, nothing is there that could be the phone. I checked my device manager in the control panel, and under "ADB Interface" i have HTC Dream listed. This is as far as I have gotten with this. This all came about because she couldn't figure out how to set the theme song from the office as her tone for text messaging. I hooked it up to the computer to try and see if I could move the file into a different folder to try and set it, and ran into this f-stick of a problem.
Is there a way to make the alarm clock icon go away in the notification bar? I'm big on minimalism, so I try and have as few icons up there as possible. I have alarms set every day, and I see no need to have an icon up there to remind me. Trust me, being woken up that early every day is reminder enough.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnybody else run in to this! Your at the gym listening to some Crue, Iron Maiden or some Hagar and all of a sudden the next song comes on and it's a f'ing ring tone, WTF is that doing playing! They all play, the ones I made and the ones I got from Mabilio ringtones! Anybody know how to fix this, it's just stupid!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has had luck playing .mp3 files that are around 100-200+ meg in size? I'm working through the "Best Player" thread trying to find something that will. So far the only one to come close is Ringdroid, of all things, but try as it did it would not load the file (all other apps I've tried so far just say it's an unsupported file).
Ps the file I'm trying plays fine in Audacity on my Linux box. An iPod will play these files but you cannot fast forward through the song at all.
Is there any way to get the details of current song played by media player?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo when I receive a text, the notification sound plays BUT it also plays some Lady GaGa song from my mp3s! I use the default messaging app and default media player. How can I fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to have a problem with the media scanner making duplicate song entries, only one would play and the other was invalid. For some reason that went away and now it adds media once and never scans again, so if I add songs later they never get picked up to be shown in the music player or winamp etc.
I found these tips:
go to application manager> all application and search
-media storage,
-music player,
-gallery application
and just delete cache and data and restart. It will solve the problem a it force to re build data base
This works still but it is a complete PITA because it resets wallpapers, ringtones and all sorts of other things to default and I don't want to have to do this every time I add a song. How do I fix the media scanner, does it even have logs or something I can look at?
Galaxy Note i717 ICS 4.0.4.
I have just purchased the X10 Mini Pro. I have attached a song I have downloaded for my text message notification. The song plays when I receive a message, but once I have read my message the song still carries on playing, it plays until it gets to the end of the song.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock does not ring when i set it. I do use TasKiller but I don't kill the clock app when I'm expecting it to ring. Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.
View 49 Replies View RelatedThe first day i got my phone the alarm sounded. now it doesn't, it will vibrate and light up but no sound. i don't know where to go to get it to sound, I've searched every settings nook and crannies.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy only problems with this phone so far has been the alarm not going off and htc widget not showing my events on option 1. I've figured out the issue in regarding the alarm. My alarm only works if I have one alarm set, if there are more than 1 then that is when it will not sound the alarm.I just wanted to put that out there because I have seen people in need of the same help. Hope that helps. Second, I can not figure out why the HTC calendar widget will not show my events. I can get it to show my events by deleting the widget and re-adding it, that is just stupid.I am using the smooth calendar widget right now, I like it but I would like to use the HTC widget calendar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't get my Droid to play anything but the stock sounds for notifications. If I try a custom sound I get this crappy digital phone ring sound. I have made all my folders on the root of the card. I have tried rings extended but it still does the same thing. It shows the sound I want. It plays it in the selection screen but when it comes time for the phone to play it all I get is that stupid bell. I even used sounds that I know work as ringtones by copying them to the notifications folder, but still that ring is all I get.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt has NOT been this way from the beginning. When I am listening to music or playing a game, the sound will stop after a notification sound. If the screen is off like when I am playing music, then pushing the power button will start the sound again when the screen comes on.
