HTC Incredible :: Cannot Send Emails - Stuck In Outbox?
Aug 25, 2010For some reason I cannot send any emails from my phone. They get stuck in "Outbox" and never continue on from there. I have Skyraider 2.5.2 (vanilla) and Radio 2.15.

Jan 23, 2014Samsung galaxy rugby, 4.1 I have a verizon pop email for business The emails are downloaded onto the office computer (outlook 2007) and my Phone. Outlook is set to leave them on the server for 5 days, so if it beats my phone to an email, it is on the server for the phone to grab.
I need to store my emails ON THE PHONE after they are fetched from the server. I need to go back and look at emails 6-12 months, even when I have no cell coverage. I had set "recent messages" option on the android to "total" and that appeared to be saving them on the phone,,
For some reason I had 3000 emails on my server (6 months worth) and when I deleted them,, they disappeared from my phone !! Gone! I went to the email settings on the phone, and noticed that "sync email" was checked, I unchecked that, but then did not receive any new emails.
How do I set an Android phone to just download the email from the server and leave it on the phone,, end of story. just download new emails to my phone. If I delete it on the server it does not affect my phone and vise versa. Preferably storing it on my sd card.

Jelly Bean :: Stuck Flashing ROM With HTC Desire HD?
Nov 24, 2013I am trying to flash a custom ROM to my HTC Desire HD.
First I managed to unlock the bootloader using the Easy Ace Root Tool and installed ClockworkMod.
Then I tried flashing a Jelly Beans mod (JellyTime 4.2 R11) and it got stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried wiping / formatting via ClockworkMod but with no success.
Afterwards I used a second phone to put the Download Android Revolution HD 7.3 ROM on the SD card and flash it. This one went fine through the installation wizard but when I was back to ClockworkMod recovery mode I got: "Can't open /cache/recovery/log" "Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log". Then I selected reboot and it was hanging on the HTC logo again... I was waiting for a minute before I took the battery out... After this I tried "format /cache" from the CWM but didn't work either.
Then I tried using a RUU utility in fastbood mode to flash an official HTC ROM:
RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.6 0.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.
It reached a particular point saying that the update failed.
I thought I cannot install the official ROM because I have unlocked the bootloader, so I locked it again using the htc fastboot utility. This didn't work either and the RUU failed again.
Here is what the bootloader currently shows:

After reading a few threat, some people suggested to hold the volume down + home + power but this made no difference. I can't switch it off, it will blank out for 3 sec and go back to saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again". I installed Kies but the device will not connect to my laptop for some reason. I have uninstall and reinstall Keis a few times. I've tried every single USB port on my laptop and even the extended USB port but none of them work too. I used my sister's android for Kies and it's working fine, so the problem is my phone.
I have already downloaded ODIN 3.07. I read in one of the thread that I have to put in a .tar file. Another person had the same problem as me (Stuck with 'Firmware Upgrade Issue') and it seemed to be working for him but I don't know what the .tar file is.

I Can receive emails, calendar and contacts, but no luck on sending--items just sit in the outbox without error message. My work's exchange server requires 4 digit pin to allow full functionality. Sep 12, 2012For years now (and on many different phones and Android OS versions), I've run into a reoccurring issue in the Gmail app: now and again, a batch of messages I've told the app to send will get stuck in the Outbox as "Sending" and won't ever send, even after I've rebooted the phone, cleared the cache, insured the phone is online, etc... This only seems to happen when there's some sort of an internet connection issue, but I haven't been able to figure out if it's associated with one particular thing: airplane mode, being out of connection range, having auto-sync or background data turned off, etc... If it was caused by being in one particular state, I'd just avoid sending email while in that state.

Nov 24, 2009I am basically unable to successfully forward emails with attachments. From within my exchange account, the forwarded message is delivered with my typed text, none of the quoted text, and an error file instead of the attachment: A_POLICY_VIOLATED_FILE_WAS_DETECTED_AND_REMOVED.TX T.
This happens regardless of what type of email account I forward the message to--google account or exchange.
If I forward a message with an attachment from my google account, it includes my text and quoted text at least, but not the attachment.
If I can't forward attachments, ok--but I don't get the policy violated file thing. I should note that this occurs in TouchDown and in the native android 2.0 mail application.
I obviously didn't look hard enough. I was able to successfully forward in TouchDown by downloading the attachments first. The quoted text and the full attachments then went just fine.

I've tried GoSMS Pro, Textra, Handcent, Hangouts,... nothing else will send an MMS. It tries, and then just switches over to retrying until I force quite the app, or send another regular, text only message.
I've tried signing in/out, Hard reset, turning it off and on again,...
I'm using stock 4.1.2. on a ZTE Savvy with Straight Talk on Verizon towers.

In GoSMS, I get dual notifications. When I select the setting (Disable Other Message Notification), I don't get dual notifications on the notification bar and Sound 02 does not play.
how to get rid of the dual notification but may it use Sound 02 as the default? I have Sound 01 used the default notification for emails, etc.
