Jelly Bean :: Phone Is Stuck At Firmware Upgrade

I am using Samsung Galaxy S3, model GT-I9300. So I accidentally deleted a huge file in my phone earlier and I was trying to recover the file by rooting the phone and using this apps called DiskDigger. I obviously made a huge mistake as I have now made it worse. I've used tips from multiple websites and youtube videos so now my phone is basically forever showing this right now
After reading a few threat, some people suggested to hold the volume down + home + power but this made no difference. I can't switch it off, it will blank out for 3 sec and go back to saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. select recovery mode in Kies and try again". I installed Kies but the device will not connect to my laptop for some reason. I have uninstall and reinstall Keis a few times. I've tried every single USB port on my laptop and even the extended USB port but none of them work too. I used my sister's android for Kies and it's working fine, so the problem is my phone.
I have already downloaded ODIN 3.07. I read in one of the thread that I have to put in a .tar file. Another person had the same problem as me (Stuck with 'Firmware Upgrade Issue') and it seemed to be working for him but I don't know what the .tar file is.
I was desperate to get my deleted file back. Right now I don't care if that file is gone, I just hope I get my phone back.

I bought it unlocked from Canada, but I live in the czech republic. My carrier is vodafone.I don't understand why my phone can't upgrade to 4.3 OTA... it always says that I have the latest updates.I've tried connecting to Kies on my laptop, but I have the never ending "connecting" loop.

I tried updating the firmware with Kies after which it said successful, the phone would not boot and is stuck at the samsung splash logo.

Sprint S3 and Just upgraded to JB4.3 and now I cannot connect to my Win7 PC via USB. Port works as it charges the phone. Searched but not able to find out how to get it into MTP Mode.

I successfully put the android 2.3.7 on my hd2 following your directions. In order to upgrade the device to Android Jelly Bean or ice cream sandwich do I have to download another installer and the other programs or do I just add the ROM to the memory card and install it from the phone. I'm confused because the prerequisites for the higher versions are different from the ones I used to install the gingerbread.

Unable to find my stock firmware.. every link points to the same file from hotfile.com and my ISP provider sucks causing the download to get stuck in between, tried two times at 100Kbps, failed both the times, once at 62%(552 MB)! its very hard to download it, any non hotfile link or some direct link if possible, can download it and host it as a torrent or something because i have very bad net connection and its slow also.
I am talking about Samsung Galaxy s3 19300 International/India Jelly Bean ROM, or even ICS stock might be ok. _
right now i have the stock ROM and Siyah Kernel and i want to clean instal everything and remove root.

I am trying to flash a custom ROM to my HTC Desire HD.
First I managed to unlock the bootloader using the Easy Ace Root Tool and installed ClockworkMod.
Then I tried flashing a Jelly Beans mod (JellyTime 4.2 R11) and it got stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried wiping / formatting via ClockworkMod but with no success.
Afterwards I used a second phone to put the Download Android Revolution HD 7.3 ROM on the SD card and flash it. This one went fine through the installation wizard but when I was back to ClockworkMod recovery mode I got: "Can't open /cache/recovery/log" "Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log". Then I selected reboot and it was hanging on the HTC logo again... I was waiting for a minute before I took the battery out... After this I tried "format /cache" from the CWM but didn't work either.
Then I tried using a RUU utility in fastbood mode to flash an official HTC ROM:
RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.6 0.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.
It reached a particular point saying that the update failed.
I thought I cannot install the official ROM because I have unlocked the bootloader, so I locked it again using the htc fastboot utility. This didn't work either and the RUU failed again.
Here is what the bootloader currently shows:

I've recently bought LG Optimus P936 true hd lte and it comes with Gingerbread 2.3.6 and it seems it can't be updated via "software update". This phone seems to have quite strong hardware so I wanted to upgrade Android to newer version. Is there any way I can do this?

What has happened to my Lock Screen. Only yesterday I had to upgrade to 4.3 and my Swipe feature on the home screen was working fine. I don't like the pin option, I know there are reasons for it, security etc, but all the threads I have seen say enable multiple widgets or some such thing on lock screen, well after my upgrade it seems it is very different from what others are seeing in their lock screens.
I have tried scrolling left to right on the lock screen - nothing. I have looked through my widgets - nothing. I have attached a screen shot of what my lock screen looks like after the upgrade and I am not even sure how it went from the swipe option to the pin option because I did not intentionally change it knowing I prefer the swipe option.

I will upgrade my stock ICS 4.0.3 to JB when that is released to my Samsung S2. But the problem is that I have removed a lot of bloatware on my phone like Game Hub, Music Hub but also the stock-clock (and more) with Titanium Backup. But will that cause a conflict with Jelly Bean when JB is being installed? The system is missing files and apps, and then JB is installed on top of that. Sounds like a setup for problems to me. Tried JB with uninstalled stock-apps on their old ICS?

I have upgraded my Galaxy Grand Duos I-9082 from Jelly bean 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 and the phone hangs randomly. on 4.1.2 it was working truly commendable.

Recently upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 on my Galaxy S4 and since then the Hands-free turns on automatically every few minutes. It is annoying, especially since I do not use it. Tried to turn it off but it comes back by itself. The people at AT&T ddisabled it but it came back after a few hours.

Best way I could describe it. On ICS the dialer would allow me to type a number and come back to it later, now when I multi-task the number disappears. I am running 4.1.2 on a HTC Desire 300, and the dialer is stock to the best of my knowledge.

The jellybean box itself turns on and the home screen loads up. I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. I can't get further than this page....my box has worked perfectly for the past 3 months since purchasing. I can't get into the settings page as I can't get past the blank .

how come it loads slow accessing my phone/memory card items when connected to any PC, even using usb 3.0 cable or 2.0 cable, my SD card is a sandisk class 10 from my gopro so its not the sd card. and the way you view pictures is also different, example, in windows you can click on a picture in the folder and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to scroll through the pictures using left and right, but when trying to do that with the pictures connected through the phone i can't, and i cant edit pictures on the phone with right click like in windows as well.
my old g2x wasn't like this, access was just like viewing any other item on windows fast speed and able to edit picture files still on the phone,this is on a Galaxy Note 3 btw.

OK so I'm loving the note 3 so far but I need a laptop. I really want a macbook pro 13 inch with retina display for school and recreational use. My mind is pretty much set for this laptop although expensive I'm sure it will last me through college (tenth grade atm) and that's what I want. Anyway my main concern is that my phone won't sync well with the laptop and I want to be able to download stuff onto my phone, along with seeing my videos and photos. Even though its an Apple computer will it work just as well as an iPhone would with this laptop?

I have quite a few chat apps(viber, whatsapp, chat on, tango) and I was wondering if there was a way to hide my number so I can't be found. My ex has a crazy girlfriend and no matter how many times I change my phone number she somehow gets my number and finds me in those apps but I don't have her number to be able to block her from finding me. Recently my phone's screen (galaxy s4) has broken. It is not shattered but it does not light up or respond to touch. It looks almost as if it is not on at all. I know it is on because the light in the upper corner that blinks for notifications works and the soft keys light up when the power/lock button and volume button are pushed. I can not see or save what I have on my phone through Kies because I can not unlock it. I was wondering if there was any other way to unlock a phone like through a website or program, or even display a phones screen onto another device, because I have picture on here that are very important to me that I would like to save before I ship my phone in for it's replacement and lose everything. I did not have an SD card and I do not know if everything saved to my clouds or google docs.

I have a galaxy grand which is on 4.1.2 and the update for 4.2.2 has been officially been released for like a 6 weeks and I still haven't got it yet , I check daily but it keeps telling me that I am on the latest update .I also tried on kies but my device couldn't connect to it for some reason .

how to resolve this issue? I believe samsung has an issue with 4.2.2 upgrade, I own Galaxy Grand GTi9082, after upgrading to 4.2.2, the phone hangs freezes and is literally unusable. I read online that upgrading thro wifi doesn't update the binary and hence went to service center. They reinstalled everything and flashed the phone.
Still I am getting errors like process system has stopped, phone freezes a lot. I am waiting for 4.4 kitkat upgrade but not sure if Grand will receive it or not, Grand 2 is slated to have the upgrade. Is it time to change the phone or something else can be done?
