Apr 19, 2010I was wondering if there was a way to have the N1 lock screen instead of the standard desire's one. I really wan't that mute and unmute feature at the tip of my finger.

HTC Desire : When Drawing Unlock Screen - Big Lag Till Home Screen Comes Up
Nov 5, 2010Ii haven't made any big changes to my Desire and all was working well. suddenly a couple of days ago i noticed that things slowed down significantly.
exmples: when drawing the unlock screen, there is a big lag till the home screen comes up huge lag in opening programmes or menus
so, the only app i recently installed was the BA (british airways) android app. could this have affected the whole phone?
what steps can i take to check what might be wrong?looking at the SPARE PARTS app, i can see that CPU usage shows a huge bar for "init".i don't know if this is a normal process? anyone got info on this? might have nothing to do with my phone lagging of course.

Oct 23, 2010Im a bit sick of having to use the powerbutton (on the top of my desire) everytime I have to either lock og unlock the screen. Is there a setting or an app that will let me lock and unlock the screen solely by using the touchscreen?

May 11, 2010Is there a way of showing contact information on the first unlock screen (in case the phone gets lost). I've tried Contact Owner but it adds the information to the 2nd unlock screen - the one with the unlock pattern. Anyone know of an app that can do this? Or is it possible to change the wallpaper for the lock screen ONLY so that I could add it the wallpaper file using an image editor.

Apr 14, 2014My friend had an HTC Desire HD and it impressed me so much i actually wanted to but it off him, even though its about 2x worse in specs than my current phone, but it has the most beautiful user interface i've ever seen.I'm talking about the HTC DHD weather unlock animation.I first noticed it when i asked the friend to make a call and upon unlocking the phone the screen froze over and it started to snow, it was pretty amazed by how good it looked, and how accurate it was since it was really snowing outside.Here it is. I think this is one of the best looking widgets/launchers i've ever seen, and i have a question, not as much as a request.I do know that this is "exclusive" to sense, most likely 3.0, but would it be theoretically possible to rip out the launcher/weather widget you saw in the video? I'm currently using a SONY Xperia GO , and i would like to port the needed things to it from sense (3.0?) to it. How do i do it? i've downloaded 20+ widgets/apps from the play store and didn't find anything ever NEAR as beautiful, or as functional. Most of the apps/widgets require you to click on the widget to see a weather animation, thats not what i want.
How do i port the sense (3.0?) launcher/weather widget? Is there an app that is as functional and looks similar?

Feb 6, 20101st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

I bought my HTC Desire from T-Mobile Montenegro with prepaid SIM. After i leave the Montenegro i change to my Orange card, and get the "SIM network unlock PIN" message. I purchased the unlock code from globalunlock.com - Global Unlock - The Official Mobile Phone Unlocking Site. After i inserted the code i get the "Invalid Password" message. (By the way the company have no support, no refund, nothing, don't buy from them) I was wonder if there will be some suggestions how to solve this problem?

Oct 1, 2010First of all, I would just like to say that I am new to this forum and I apologize in anticipation if I am posting this information under the wrong category. I have done my best to read the rules before posting. Anyway here goes. I am quite desperate because I cannot use my phone as I should. I bought an HTC Desire 3 months ago from Vodafone(in Romania) without a plan so I purchased the phone at its full price. Consequently, Vodafone issued a free unlock code for my phone so I could go ahead and use it with whichever provider I want. For various reasons, I have not unlocked the phone in due time(as I had been using their pre-paid for a while) and upgraded the OS to 2.2 when the upgrade was launched. To be honest, the update came out of the blue and I guess I wasn't realizing what I was doing at the time so I went ahead with the upgrade. Now, after going to the store where I bought the phone they have tried additional unlock codes and none of their unlock codes work! I have tried to get an unlock code online from a pretty respectable unlock provider and still I get: "Incorrect Code" when trying to do a network unlock. I am now in another country (UK) and cannot unlock my phone so I can use it with any of the providers here. It just seems like any of the codes generated of of my IMEI are not working. I don't know much about phones, but this is driving me crazy, and I would really really appreciate any feedback or suggestion here from someone more experienced.

Apr 29, 2010So I just unlocked my desire (allowing me to use the new phone on o2 for the last few days of my contract) but 2 new icons have appears in the top left corner.
The first is a "general alert" according to the user guide, a trianle with an "!" along the horizontal line.
The 2nd is a circle, within a shape I can only describe as a tear drop, with an "!" to the right of it. I cant find this one in the user guide.
Can anyone explain what these mean?

Sep 2, 2010So here is the story basically. This is technically my third droid. The first one had something wrong with the screen where it wouldn't do anything I wanted. For instance...if I tried to press any of the keys on the right side of the screen, they wouldn't respond. Whatever...got the phone replaced in-store. Second phone comes, the slide is VERY loose. The screen actually had about a millimeter and a half on the left side of the screen that it would give when pressed. It made a very loud tap sound when pushed. OK, called Verizon tech support, they send me a DROID 2. I'm thinking SWEET. Not really... Not even 4 days into owning the thing, the screen randomly shuts off and won't come back on without a battery pull, sometimes 2 battery pulls. Over the past few days this has happened multiple times, each more frustrating than the last. I'm getting irritated with mototola. I just called Verizon and they are sending out yet another device. I'm getting annoyed with this whole thing. I shouldn't have to call tech support every other week it seems. Does anyone have a fix for this problem? I've done a factory reset, among other things. I have my old 16gb card from my D1 in there...could that do it? If anyone has had this problem and found a fix for it let me know. I also have the Verizon extended battery..could that be doing it? Please...any help would be appreciated. I'm rooted if that helps at all.

When I unlock it, the bar stays across the screen for a good 5+ seconds before it unlocks and my home screen shows up. Just wondering, my D1 was fast and didn't lag at all.
