HTC Legend :: Low Phone Memory Error / Email Account Size 116MB

Had my Legend for about a month and a half now and I've started getting 'low phone memory' errors. Looked in the memory lists and it says the only 'biggies' are maps at 4mb each (and there's 4 of them?) and 'HTC mail' at 116mb. I only have my hotmail account, texts, and Gmail and they're all empty. Not really got that many applications installed (4 or 5) and had to remove some just to get the phone to stop reminding me. I've emptied the drafts, trash and cache and it made little to no difference.

how can you tell where an app is being downloaded to? is everything set to download to the sd card?if not what is set to download to the phone memory? i'm guessing phone back ups and settings?

just got my desire this morning and i don't really know what i'm doing with it, i've never had a smart phone before. i've set up my hotmail account as the email account on the phone but, call me paranoid, i'd rather not have it on there at all. if i delete the account on the phone will it have any detremental effect on the actual email account?

I can access my AOL, Comcast and obviously Gmail with no problems on my Droid. However I want to be able to access my companies email I have set up through powweb.com (they host my website). Anyway I keep getting error messages that it could not finish set up or sometimes it says Error: check user and password details. I triple checked and made sure I was putting in the right info and then I even went on the powweb website and made sure I was putting in the correct settings and even contacted someone there and they gave me some info to try and help and I am still getting error messages. I have tried POP and IMAP. The exchange account, is a fee based account.

I am facing a problem of Out Of Memory Error that is bitmap size exceeds vm budget while changing the orientation of the Droid mobile (but not in any of other mobiles like Android normal and Android small).I am displaying 10 images in grid view, each one size is less than 20kb. If i insert 6 images then it doesn't arise that error.

I've set up an email account on my mini pro (NOT gmail or exchange) and it all works fine updating my inbox manually , however, I cant find any settings to automatically retrieve my emails periodically ( as far I can see auto sync refers to gmail or sony sync or road sync for exchange). Is there any way to auto sync an individual email account ?

How do I make the text message box on my legend larger? Its almost impossible to read an average size message back before sending. The screen is so large and remains mainly un-used. The box used for the text message itself is tiny.

I successfully set up a couple of gmail accounts when I first got my phone and now wish to add a third. However the phone now says it is unable to establish a working data connection. This is definitely not the case. It comes up with this before checking the account credentials so it is not a password issue.

I've had my Captivate since the 19th of July and have been pretty happy with it but today my email accounts disappeared from my phone.I've been using the email app that came with the phone without issues but today my personal gmail and my work exchange accounts vanished. I noticed I hadn't received a new email notification in several hours so I went to check my email it prompted me to setup an email account. Anyone else have this happen? I only have 2 days to return my Captivate, it's been a good phone so far but I cant afford to lose my email accounts for no apparent reason again. I haven't installed any new apps or made any changes to the phone.Coming from the Blackberry world I took it for granted that email just worked flawlessly.

Otherwise loving my new Samsung Epic - but how could the Android email client (a google product) integrate so poorly with Gmail My 3 GIANT issues : 1- The native email client does not observe who an email was sent to when responding like the gmail web client can. If I have secondary emails on my account it will not allow response as them. 2- unlike the gmail web client, I can't select what secondary account to respond with. 3 - I am unable to add secondary email account to my android phone. requires authentication using primary and It only adds them as the primary. Google really dropped the ball big on this and from what I've heard, Froyo nor the new Android gmail client (which I'd rather not use since I also have non gmail account for work) did not address this either. I figure it' s either a huge technical obstacle (which I doubt), or not much testing went into the email application.

I have a htc legend.Im very happy with it but i still have one question.Is it true that apps are installed on internal memory?because i install very much apps. so my mobile is starting to lag. already have a kill all background taskmanager and stuff.but still lags? so maybe is there a way to install an apk file from the internet to the sd card so its not on internal memory?

I am currently using a x10i (x10?) on tmobile, i have the data plan ($10), and have my email connected via gmail. however, it seems like i have to do manual refresh in order to get email update. Is this normal or is there automatic feature that i must enable to have it alert me once an email is received?
Secondly, is it possible to set-up a third party email account, ex: Yahoo? I went through the notion of manually enter email account, but was unsucessful. It give me a msg that mailbox access is not supported for some tpes of yahoo mail accounts. Could this be an interference with gmail email, thus causing the problem? Even, using the manually setup option, it still fails to connect to my yahoo account.

I am trying to set up my email account with Virgin Media on my Desire but I can`t get the settings right, it`s a pop account, I can receive mail but I can`t send it. I`m with Three mobile but my phones unlocked, When I connect via wifi to my home it sends ok, but this seems a bit pointless when I`m away from home.

I'm trying to launch the Maps application from my own activity and throws me an exception.

have you declared this activity in your AndroidManifest.xml?
This code executes OK in the stock Android but Sense seems to have something that revokes the launch of the activity. I launch some other apps like gMail without errors, it's only Maps application who gives that error. Do you know any solution to this error?

So I just got me a G1 earlier this week but my question is this. Even though their website says the max size card you can put in is 8GB I have seen somewhere you can put one in a little bigger, so there for I am wondering what is the biggest memory card that can be put in this thing? I currently use a 2GB one that I had in my former nokia 5310.
