HTC Incredible :: Put In A 32 Gig Card
May 3, 2010
All the official specs i've seen for the incredible say it supports up to a 16 gig micro sd card (that's what i've got in mine), but i remember reading reports in the indredible early on that said it would take a 32 gig card.

So i just loaded one of the new ROMs based on todays OTA.
I did the nandroid. I did the titanium. i flashed using rom manager and selected clear cache/data.
ROM loaded perfectly.. and when i went to titanium to restore, nothing was there!
I plugged the phone into the computer, and i can't even view the card.
I can browse the phone's memory, but not the cards.
I'm hoping there's some adb command or something that'll fix this...

I'm going to root my phone tonight once home from EMS crew. I want to keep my Stock SD card so that if anything happens I can just pop it back in. With the new one, will I need to preinstall all current and stock files/ folders or will it be formatted once I put it in for the first time pre-root?

So a few days ago my Dinc decided to stop recognizing my SD card. First I restarted the phone with a soft reboot which didnt work, then I did a hard reboot which reset all my settings but still didnt fix the issue. I removed and re-installed the SD card in the slot which also did nothing. The phone refuses to recognize the card is mounted.

Got my Incredible a couple of weeks ago, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm an experienced smart phone user(4 generations of Treo's, Blackberry, Moto Droid), but I've encountered an issue that has me perplexed.I loaded about 20 mp3's in a folder I created on my SD card.I immediately checked the default music player and was happy to find that it found and played all 20 songs.I went back to use the music player a day or so later and found it listed all of the newly loaded songs twice. In looking at the details of the songs, I found that somehow a process on my Incredible copied all 20 songs to the internal memory! I was hoping to eventually load about 10GB of music to my SD card with the assumption that I could play those songs directly from the card. But until I figure this out, that obviously is not going to happen.I'm hoping the collective brilliance of this group will explain this unusual behavior and solve this problem.

I've had to reboot my phone 3 times in the last 2 days because the SD card becomes unreadable. Yesterday I couldn't save an attachment from GMail because it said I needed to have an SD card installed. Then Astro wouldn't let me delete a file even though I was able to locate it. And today my widgets were all screwed up because according to them there was no SD card installed that had the skins. I don't mind dealing with an issue here and there, but there have a been a few occasions where this phone has gotten under my skin. Anyone else dealing with this? I seriously doubt the SD card is bad, although there's only one way to prove that. Is there an app that will dismount and remount the SD card while the phone is running for when these situations occur?

I used DoubleTwist to get all my music from iTunes. I was curious, how long do you think it should take to download around 900 songs from DoubleTwist to a Class 6 Micro SD card?

After powering on my phone this morning(I charge my phone off to bump charge my 2100 battery ) I tried to play a podcast on Google listen and noticed my phone said there was no SD card. I tried everything. Rebooted several times and I even booted into recovery. I got weird screen, triangle with an exclamation! So I rebooted back into current Rom(Ruby1.1). So I finally bit the bullet and decided to reformat the SD card (through the phone) and it still doesn't work! I don't have access to a computer but it looks like my SD card is toast. This card is a 8gig scan disk that came with my old BB Storm. Luckily the 2 gig SD that came with my incredible has a nandroid back-up, but its a 2.1 back-up. Not sure if it matters but I do have an extra backup. When I get a home I'll get another SD and do so backups. Just thought I le you guys know to tell everyone to make extra backups!

So I somehow killed my 2GB SD card last week (accidentally unplugged from the laptop while it was writing data- wasn't recognized as existing by my phone or laptop after that) and just got a 4GB card today. I formatted it (FAT32) before trying anything, then copied my files back from my laptop onto the card and ran a new Titanium Backup batch thingie. Everything was fine, and I was going to go create a new backup file through Clockwork Mod so I could flash a new ROM on there and I get this message.

I was wondering if the Incredible would have a sim card slot as many of the high end Verizon phones do. If not do you know if there will be an unlocked version with a sim card slot and if so will it come out soon?

I have had my Incredible since launch with the same SD card. Upon rebooting to day, it says the card cannot be found. I rebooted and removed the card a half dozen times....no luck. Removed battery...no change. The only thing I tried was ultra keyboard, which I deleted.

I am going to try to hard reset my Incredible in hopes it fixes a couple problems I'm seeing since getting 2.2. I want to back up my apps though, so I go into manage applications and pick an app, but the 'move to SD card' option is grayed out. Also, to hard reset all I have to do is from home screen touch menu-settings-privacy- factory data reset - reset phone. Or is there something I should do instead?

Is this normal for Android devices? When I store MP3s on my SD card, the phone won't play the music ("can't play the format" or something like that). When I store the exact same MP3s on the internal phone memory, the songs play.(choking)

Just picked up my Incredible earlier today. Was tired of waiting on Amazon so found the last remaining one at the Bestbuy instead. Anyway, they threw in a free 2GB SD card. I already bought a 8gig card. Should I return it? Will the 2gig be enough plus the phone memory? I know I'm being a little cheap but the extra cash wouldn't hurt.

Is there a way to download movies to the sd card or to the phones memory from the phone? Like downloading a torrent to the phone. Also if that is possible, what would I use to watch it on the device? Even if there is a way I can pay for the movie and watch it from my phone. The hard drive in my laptop cramped the bed so i have to wait for my new one to get here that is why I am wondering if there is a way to do all of this directly from the phone.

So, I have Itunes Agent and when I had the 2 GB card it synced perfectly, no problem. So I get the 16GB card and my computer suddenly doesn't even 'recognize' that there's a device connected. WTF, So, not very computer savvy, I figure it must be the computer because the card seems fine in the phone?

Has anybody tried exchanging the free 2GB micro SD card that came with the Incredible? I didn't originally receive mine but then our Verizon rep had it FedEx'd to me. It says in the package that it originally cost $14.99. Can I take it in to a Verizon store and exchange it for some accessories? I already have 2gb card and will likely be buying a bigger card anyways.
