So a few days ago my Dinc decided to stop recognizing my SD card. First I restarted the phone with a soft reboot which didnt work, then I did a hard reboot which reset all my settings but still didnt fix the issue. I removed and re-installed the SD card in the slot which also did nothing. The phone refuses to recognize the card is mounted.

It seems my SD card isn't working, I have a little icon at the top of the screen that say my SD card isn't recognised, the phone thinks I don't have one in it. Any ideas as to whats wrong? When you turn the phone on it says "Removed SD Card" I only got the phone today, played with it 10 mins this morning and it was fine, Put it on this evening and get this error
View 31 Replies View RelatedI have a 16gb card now. I use it mostly for music and pictures but sometimes when I go into my camera. The sd is not recognized. Sometimes I turn my phone off and then it recognizes it. Dont really want to format it again because dont want to remove the music/pictures.
Is there something I should do or try?

SO I flashed my BH2 to Eugenes 1.6 for galaxy rom and now my external sd card...yeah, the 2 GB one that came with the phone, is being recognized as the internal sd card....and there is no setting i can find to fix it. I formatted the sd card and reformatted it, but to no avail...still comes up when inserted into the phone as an internal sd card. b/c of this issue, i cant save pretty much anything to my phone, b/c many apps require an external sd source to save to.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Galaxy Note GT-N7000 to CyanogenMod 10.1.3 (Android 4.2.2) the other week. I don't know if it is related to the upgrade or not, but the phone no longer recognises the external SD card. I have tried three different cards (all 8GB), including a brand new class 10 bought this morning to test it. I've attached pictures of the storage page on the phone, showing that the phone sees the internal storage okay, and seems to recognise that there is an external card in (the "Space" and "Available" figures are correct), but that the mounting option is greyed out. I have checked all three cards in my Galaxy camera, which sees them okay. In addition, I booted into recovery mode (Vol+, Home, power) to see if the card was being recognised at that level, and I could see all the folders on the card then.
I have spent the last three hours searching for solutions, but there is nothing of use except "the SD card is corrupt", which clearly isn't the case here since I've got three cards that all work in another Android device.
When I go into gallery I see my pictures on my external sd card. When I go into camera mode, the preview box is black and when I press the preview box, my external pics don't come up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI followed the steps on Addictive Tips on how to properly add an EXT4 partition on my 8gb sd card.
Now I have 6.xGB FAT32 as the primary partition, and a 1GB EXT4 logical partition. But my Samsung Galaxy Ace (running on CyanogenMod-7.2.0-C1-cooper, official nightly build) doesn't recognize the sd card anymore.
So I gave up and reformatted it back to a single FAT32 partition, copied my backup back into the sd card, but now the apps don't get recognized.
I still have the songs I had b4 I've downloaded the 2.1 OS; when I look into the X10 Mini, the "AVAILABLE ROOM" seems to have gotten bigger; but I also have many times in which the phone says: "no SD card found" or "no available storage" and such, regardless all my songs are there(not sure where!), and the "SD and storage" still shows the amount of memory like - Total room: 3.67GB and Available room: 3.11GB; considering I only had about 1.70GB left pryor to the 2.1 OS update!
View 1 Replies View RelatedGot several issues on my Dinc when I booted this morning. Here are all the symptoms I see:
1)None of my downloaded applications are recognized as installed-I only see the factory-installed apps in the app launcher
2)Settings->Accounts&Sync gets FC (com.htc.settings.accountsync)
3)Settings->Applications: While I do see all my downloaded apps in the list, the icons don't load for them, and when I click one, I get an FC on com.android.settings
4)Phone storage/SD Storage numbers look good
5)When I boot, the notification bar shows "Preparing phone storage", followed by "Preparing SD Storage" as it normally does, but the Sync icon only flashes for a second.
I'm running stock 2.1, no root...just a normal every day phone user. Was reading articles with the Time Magazine app prior to shutting down for the night. Had plenty of battery left, so I didn't even plug it in.
I've had my Incredible for a month now and feel it is the best phone I've had. I'm coming from a Palm Treo 755P which I thought was good, but now looks like a brick. This morning I tried to make an international call from the Inc. and received a message from VW that the number was not in service or had been changed. My contacts list has a prefix of '+' in front of international numbers. he Palm recognized that and substituted a 011 instead. When I changed the number in the Inc. and added the 011, the call went through with no problem. I have tried international calls with Assisted Dialing on and off, and there is no difference. Is there a special way that international numbers need to be stored on the Inc. for the '+' to be recognized?

I did the nandroid. I did the titanium. i flashed using rom manager and selected clear cache/data.
ROM loaded perfectly.. and when i went to titanium to restore, nothing was there!
I plugged the phone into the computer, and i can't even view the card.
I can browse the phone's memory, but not the cards.
I'm hoping there's some adb command or something that'll fix this...
i have a problem where the touch is not recognized at all, i don't know if the event is evening happening or not, or its an error with my display. My program as of now contains 4 classes
1 - the main activity class
2 - the draw class(simple draw everything)
3 - Character class, (problem is here)
4 - Sprite class, for simple animation
Everything is working fine including the animation, but for some reason the touch is not working, here my code

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe USB connection was working fine. A couple of days ago, I wanted to try to send a FAX. I connected the phone to my computer and set it to PC Mode on the connection menu. The modem wasn't recognized. Ever since then, my pc won't recognize the phone. I have done battery pulls, pc reboots, driver uninstall and reinstalls. Occasionally, it will recognize the phone. I have put the phone back into mass storage mode. Any ideas. I don't know if I can return this, since it is a dealer plan phone, not from Verizon. It's not a deal-breaker, just a pain when I need to transfer photos or videos.

Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. If I use cpufrills I can put the speed at 1.5 but he still fixes at 1.2,is there any solution? I saw this because when i received my 3500seidio i ran it down, then gassed it up to full(unplug, charge, unplug, charge again ect) Then i even erased the battery stats in recovery
So the meter seemed to be accurate as I drained it again just to see how long the battery would last (got about 10 hours of hard usage, 4G wide open, wifi off, to drain battery). So then i got to charging it back up: In about 32min its at 50%, which i know impossible. Then about 38 more minutes later, it says 100% full (basically 3500mah got charged in lil over an hour?) . Of course too good to be true so i disconnected the charger and 30 seconds later it dropped down to 80% !!!! My point being, if im not there to see it hit 100%(which is when the phone will not charge anymore even tho its on the charger and will use the battery to power phone right?) then I will never be able to get a full charge. LIke why cant the meter simply tell me exactly how much juice is left in the battery? I had the sedio 2600mah for my Pre and next had a meeter problem. This EVO meter is OC! I mean why do i have to let it charge to 100, then disconnect, and keep reconnecting to get it to be a real 100? thats ridicoulous. I thought we would only have to recondition the phone once. I cant do this everything. Somethiing needs to be done
It seems like the only way i can get it to fully charge without the multiple charge,unplug,charge is to turn the phone off, and let it charge for a couple hours or whatever. When it turns green its at like 97% which is good. Because its a true 97 and wont drop down immediately to 80 or something
This is weird. My wife and I both have droid x's purchased same day. I connected my wifes X to my laptop, the laptap goes through the install process and tells me that I'm missing a driver. I also notice that the X is charging. I disconnected it and connected my X and nothing. No charge no attempt to install. I have the debugg checked on both X's. Why will it atleast charge on one X and not the other? What do I need to do to my X. I also touched the usb icon on my X and tried each option and nothing either.

When it is called it all works correctly. The file is saved and it pops up the chooser. but once you get to the activity you choose, they all pop up a message saying that I can't add that image. Except GMail, it works fine. So what on earth do I do to fix this?
I can't figure out the exact circumstances, but at times the USB connection between my phone and the PC gets broken, and my phone no longer gets recognized. It seems to be a phone-side problem, because it is only rectified when I reboot the phone, but not the PC. The last time it happened was after an incoming call disrupted my PDANet connection. When I hung up, the USB icon was gone, and I had to reboot.
