Is it possible? I made 2 folders on my home screen and renamed them. But I notice everytime I drag and add an app inside the folder there is no way (at least that I can find) to move them around in the order I would like them to be in. Theres no way to drag them around and organize them without taking them out completely then re adding them in order. Am I doing something wrong? Is this possible? If not with stock folders is there an app that lets me do this?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi dont think u can set up new folders on the htc desire its self so i plugged it into my laptop and chose 'disk drive' on the phone. when i go into 'DCIM' ans '100 Media' i add a new folder but it doesnt appear on the phone.

Is there a way to get to certain photo faster, because if i need a photo thats all the way on the bottom, it takes forever to always scroll down.. also.. can i sort them all by name? it appears they're sorted by date modified.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn the applications screen, (the one which you drag up from the bottom of the home screen), is there any way to create folders there and re-organise the position of apps? I know that you can create folders on the home screens, but this isn't what I want to do. I would love to be able to create a folder that I can dump all of the programs I will never use but which Sony will not allow me to delete, (you know the ones - moxier etc!!)

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I need to do with my Incredible is so simple and I am really amazed that this phone's photo application is as bad as it is. I have about 100 photos. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. Therefore, is there any decent apps out there that will allow me to create folders (or albums) and put pics into them? I also need to somehow backup the photos (probably directly off of the SD card onto my PC).
View 7 Replies View RelatedCouple of questions regarding internal memory and the Android folders. I have over 125 apps on my phone, but I have hardly put a dent in my internal memory space. So my questions are:
1) Why is it helpful to move apps to SD if they take up such little space?
2) If I want to put *data* in internal memory (possible?), or in an Android local folder *not* on the SD card, where is the best place to put it?
I've not found an answer yet which does exactly what my current software (MobSync) does with my Windows Mobile device. What I want to do is auto-sync a podcasts folder, and its subfolders, from my PC over to my new HTC Desire-Z via Wi-Fi. I've found a few programs that appear to be able do this task fine, but I'm not sure which of them can do a full sync, i.e. including echoing deletes back to the PC.
What I need is for the software to periodically copy any new podcasts found in the PC folder over to the phone (OK, that bit is easy). However when I've listened to the podcast and deleted it from the phone's folder, I want the sync software to neatly delete the same file from the PC too.

Is it possible to get the mail app to display unread counts for imap folders?
I have a bunch of server-side filters that move unread email into different folders, but its not possible on the Hero to see which imap folders have unread items (except In box). I've tried both the Mail app and K-9 but couldn't find a setting to show them. Anyone else figured it out?

Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. Aside from pics and videos, how do I access other folders with saved data?

Right now I'm using ShadowRom (love it) with LauncherPro and Folder Organizer as a solution but it's a wee bit laggy. I have like 50 game apps and I put them into a Games folder on my homescreen and then used LauncherPro to hide the games in the All Programs Menu to get rid of some of the clutter.

For example, it just searched my SD card and came up with an "icons" folder that contains various program icons. Is there seriously no way to tell it not to appear in HTC album? Inside a given folder, I have a SPECIFIC ORDER to my Shortcuts/Apps. For whatever reason, my phone will decide to mess up that order that I created. Various things seem to trigger my phone to re-arrange the Icons in my folders. For example, unplugging my phone from my computer after disk use triggers it.

Is this possible and if it is, which app would I need to do that. I've had my DInc since they came out and it's totally stock. I haven't gotten the froyo update yet.
This will be my first smartphone so I am obviously new to the whole Android OS. I want this to replace my iPod Touch (not that I hate apple or anything I just want one device for everything) and was wondering how this process works on this phone exactly. I know that you can plug in your phone and manually make all of the folders for your albums and such but that seems like a lot of work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to figure out why I can't open file attachments from emails. Received some pdf files and two doc files today. Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.
