HTC Incredible :: Want To Get Password Keeper App
Jul 30, 2010
What is the best one for keeping bank account #s and other things like that. I am stuck with free apps because my phone refuses to log into my Google account saying the info is not correct, even after I log into my account from the PC and created a new pass, it still wont let me log in and buy from my phone.

Does anyone recommend any of the password manager/keepers that are on the market? I have over 75 passwords that I need to keep with me at all times. Blackberry's Password Keeper worked great and was really secure.

I had a Win Mobile phone prior to the Droid. I had Ilium EWallet and Listpro. So I'm looking for replacements. Listpro could make multiple lists and within that list I could check mark things without it actually deleting the line. Such as I had a book list going for my mom. I would have books she wanted me to pick up for her flagged and one color. Then once I got the book I would check mark it. Once it was no longer flagged and it was checked marked then it would sort but the books I still wanted first then what I had last. Then I also made the ones she actually had read a different color so I could keep everything straight as what to get her. (I hope I'm making sense here).
So I need a list program that is very detailed like this. I tried SplashID for lists but could not get it to download onto the Droid itself. This would have been perfect as it also has a desktop program you can type everything in and then just sync to the phone. The would be perfect. Then I had Ewallet which is a password, bank info, credit card, etc information that you could put in it to remember all your passwords and such. I have not found anything like a password keeper for the Droid. Does anyone know if either of these programs exsists, hopefully free but willing to pay if I have to? Or has anyone heard if someone is making a program like these for the Android platform?

I have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?

In all of my other phones there was a way to add a pause and then your password to the autodial for your voicemail. Is there a way to do that on the incredible?

I've been using Lockpicker on my Incredible, which requires a password due to the Exchange policies. I turned Lockpicker off by accident and now it wants me to put my old password in. I have no idea what it is. I'm on attempt #10/10, and I don't want the device to erase my data.I can't turn Lockpicker back on without getting back into the menu system. Is there any way to recover my original password? I would've thought it'd automatically be the same as my Exchange password, but that's not working. Is there any way to refresh the number of attempts I have?

My lame company forces me to password protect my Incredible, thereby causing me much delay having to enter a password every time I turn the thing on. This is for corporate email through Activesync.
Is there ANY way to disable this? Or some hack that will at least "remember" the password so I just need to hit Enter, or something, after unlocking the phone with a swiped?

I'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.

So I set up Google Voice to be my voicemail provider on my phone.
Twice.
The first time I did it directly on the site and followed the instructions.....THEN I went to the phone and actually changed it in the Voicemail provider settings (there is a spot for it)
When called it still made me put in my voicemail #.
So I started the process over again.
This time I set up my verizon voice mail with the phone number and the ",****" for the pause and the password. Then i told it to use google voicemail.
Then I went into google voicemail and set up the phone again.
And....
Voila....it automatically puts in my password for me now. Although on the phone it doesn't show that its there at all.
There doesn't seem to be a reason to switch the setting on the phone as the voicemail indicator in "messages" doesn't change.....and also It doesn't seem to be able to set up the true visual voicemail through it.
You have to use the Google Voice app to get them and just search through your mails. (If anyone has a way around that one I'd be grateful - for both the message indicator and the visual voicemail)

Sorry if this has been asked, I did a search and came up empty.Am I missing something or is there no way to password protect the lock screen with Android (without some app)?I can live without it, but considering how much personal info we store on our phones these days, I'd at least like to know if I have the option.

In my search I found someone who said it would just prompt for the new password and someone else that said it would factory reset my phone. So, has anyone here actually done this and what happened?

Touchdown works great with my exchange account. The only problem is it asks for password each time after my phone has slept. Anyway to get rid of the password protection? I don't mind to type it in when the program launches the first time but asking for password every 5 min is simply annoying!!

I am trying to remove an Exchange account from my DI. When I go to delete the account, it asks me for a password.
I have entered the password/PIN I use to unlock the phone. No good. I have entered the password I use to access the Exchange server. No good.
I have no freaking idea what password the phone is asking me for. Right now it seems my only option is maser reset of the phone, re-install everything...

This thing is getting terrible signal quality, and in debug is never showing me anywhere better than -100. Customer service over the phone isn't helping a bit and want to debug the phone using another line. Well, I don't have another line.

Two quick questions that will help me decide between Native Exchange and Touchdown (or possibly another app all together):
1) Is there a way to override the password requirement for Native Exchange? I'd prefer to not have to enter a p/w every time my phone locks.
2)Is anyone else having issues with Touchdown not rendering their messages properly? Mine are cut off even with the smallest font setting and I cannot side scroll to see the rest of the message. Also as I scroll down into the threaded messages the screen above goes white.
